I told myself that I would never buy another pair of heels because they are so uncomfortable. I have wide feet and a high arch and girly shoes are not my friends. Dansko has always been a great shoe for walking around at work or in the community. Needless to say that I was surprised to find a pair of heeled shoes by Dansko that were stylish and feminine. I initially purchased them thinking that I would return them because they would never be comfortable and they would not look as good on me. They were Dansko's and I just had to try them. I was so wrong and I am forever grateful that I took a chance. They fit well and they look great! Me and my feet are very happy!

This is the most expensive pair of shoes I've ever purchased, but also the most fantastic. They are beautiful, comfortable, dressy and fun. I get so many complements on them. I could not be happier. I love Danskos and have had several pairs. I did have to return the first pair in my normal size because it was too small, but when I went from my normal 40 to 41 it was perfect. I think it's because the clogs are so boxy and these are more fitted. I walk around all day for work and these are perfect. Anyway, it's all the Dansko comfort and quality, except pretty. Highly recommend!

I didn't buy these through Zappos (unfortunately). Had I done so, they'd be going back. As it is, I was able to hobble through one day of work and now have scabs from blisters on my ankles and toes. They felt great in the store. I should have walked around more, however. I didn't wear them with socks -- probably had something to do with it. Still, I agree with the reviewer who said that, at this price, the shoe should not require an extended break in period. I'll try again once it's cooler with some tights, but I don't have high hopes. Dang it. They are super rad looking shoes!

Gorgeous shoe with lots of sass, beautiful blue green color. Unfortunately so painful rubbing on the inside ankle bone that I could hardly walk 5 feet to the mirror to admire them. Didn't even bother trying on both feet.

These shoes are amazingly comfortable. I have a wide foot (D fitting) and these shoes fit perfectly. Stylish with good support, I want them in every color!

Love these shoes, and I get compliments whenever I wear them. In Dansko sandals I usually get 38, but after reading the reviews I decided to try a 39. Way, way too big. Returned for the 38 and it's perfect, with plenty of room to wiggle my toes. I have grouchy old feet with ridiculously high arches, and I walked six blocks to a wedding reception and back, and my feet remained happy. The teal color goes with a lot of my winter clothes. Zappos' service was of course stellar.

I love these shoes (purchased the purple ones). They are comfy and really cute. I usually wear a 39 in Dansko. I have 1 pair of dress shoes in a 40, and they got a little sloppy. The insole in these shoes is really nice but takes up a lot of room. For the beginning, until the shoe stretches just a little, I pulled them out and replaced them with some Good Feet orthotics. Just right now, and when the shoes get a little stretched, I'll put those nice insoles back in. The insole is glued to the bottom a little, but it came out without damaging the shoe or the insole.

These Dansko Rebel shoes are very stylish and comfortable for a dressy shoe. I do agree with other reviewer that you should size up, so the back doesn't rub and also the strap rubs a little but I'm sure with time it will stretch. Colors are amazing and so is the arch support. I'm going to get in another color. Keep them coming Dansko!

Love the style of this shoe: Sassy and modern, but comfortable. I would buy these again, but they certainly need some breaking in before wearing a full day. After at least two days of wear, they are more comfortable now. But, I wouldn't leave home without bandaids or moleskin to avoid getting blisters or having skin rubbed off. I will say that I am surprised that they are not as comfortable right from the box, but the Dankso Professional clog is perfection so standards and expectations for comfort are impossibly high. Still, nothing that gel inserts and moleskin can't handle, and definitely worth the trouble. Bought in brown and black. Glad I did.

Absolutely love these! They look great with skirts (short - with tights, or long), jeans, & leggings. Stylish but with the comfort I've come to expect from Dansko. Only issue I have is when I'm having serious leg "swelling", then I have to adjust the strap. Seriously considering getting them in teal!

Very nice quality shoe. Real buckle, not Velcro which is nice. Unfortunately, the inside of the shoe has an indentation (I think for artistic reasons - I can't think of a purpose) which happens to be right at the ball of my foot and feels like there is a crease in my sock. So, sadly they are going back.

Great-looking on/quite comfortable. I bought the teal for versatility. I don't usually wear colored shoes. But these aren't clownish. Teal goes with late summer/early fall clothes (like BR Sloan ankle pants in mojave beige or black or navy) as well as with fall colors like denim, camel, plum, brown, navy. I'm between 6.5 and 7 (37), and same size in these. They look good with pants or skirts. Best (and worst) thing about Dansko is they last forever. I've had a pair of black mary janes I wear mostly with certain pants in the winter for nearly 10 years. I'm getting tired of 'em, but they just won't wear out.

Fell in love with the look of these funky shoes and they look even better on my foot than I imagined they would! Comfortable heels, easy strap, they make even my plus-sized calves look lean. Can't wait to wear with a pencil skirt and funky shirt. Great shoes!

First off, I have been wearing Dansko pros since the late 1990s. I've tried some of the previous iterations of dress shoes that Dansko has offered, and they have never felt quite right. I bought the Rebel in black, because it's such a cute shoe, and I figured that if it didn't fit or feel nice, I would return it. Well, it's staying here with me. Very comfortable insole, and I love the fact that I can remove it if necessary. Although I wear a 38 in the pros, I bought a 39 in the Rebel. (The dress shoes always seem to run smaller than the pros.) The 39 fits great and looks awesome with my skinny jeans and hand-knit socks, lol.

Super cute Mary Jane wedge, perfect for business or casual dress. I got the brown burnished nappa, it's such a timeless color and perfect for fall. Looks amazing with knee high socks and a neutral dress or skirt. Sometimes I just wear it with skinny jeans for a semi casual look. My problem is that unlike my ancient Marcelle Mary Janes by Dansko as well, they are... A bit small and somewhat narrow. They do rub on my instep a little and my toebox area. However I am gradually breaking them in, unlike any other Dansko I had before. Maybe it's just my foot dimensions but I've read the same thing before. Definitely try them on I say. I'm keeping them they are so cute and are breaking in, but it's a process.

These shoes are cute, but they're just too hard for wearing for walking around much. Or standing around much. I think that if I bought them a half a size larger I could probably wear them with fluffy socks to soften them up a bit over a period of weeks and then maybe one day wear them with thinner/no socks. If you're really in love with the look, you can probably make it work, but for me these shoes are just too stiff and chaffy right out of the box.

The footbed of this shoe is so comfortable, but after a day of work with moderate walking around, I got blisters around my ankle. The combination of the high ankle strap and free heel movement is not so great in this regard! Will need to wear socks or tights with these in the future.

This shoe is definitely teal leaning toward green rather than the blue in the picture. Still - the color is great even though not what I expected. They are really fun. However, the boot portion is a little too wide for me and rubbing in all of the wrong spots. If I wore these for more than an hour I would have blisters...so back they go sadly. I really like the style.

I really wanted to love these shoes. I was so excited to find a pair of purple shoes with a moderate wedge heel. I wear a size 11M to wide depending on the brand. I purchased these in the 42 and they were wide enough but about a 1/2 size too long. The leather is very stiff and with the ankle straps I can easily see these shoes causing serious foot and ankle pain. In addition to the lack of comfort, I just found the shoes to be too bulky and clunky. When you wear a size 11 the last thing you want is a pair of shoes that make your feet look bigger. If these wedges didn't have all the extra leather at the back of the heel or the ankle strap, I would have kept them and tried to break in the stiff leather just for the sake of the fantastic purple color. I wish they could make a wedge with this heel height/shape and purple color in the nubuck material like their Lulu style. Unfortunately for me these are a definite return. I'll have to continue my search for comfortable & stylish purple shoes.

This is a great looking shoe, but it didn't work for my sensitive feet. I was careful to try them on after a day at work. The leather was very stiff, my toes felt cramped (though the shoe was long enough) and the heel cup would definitely have caused a blister. Maybe the leather would have softened over time, but in this price range I expect a shoe to be soft from the gate, as is true with most Naot, Mephisto, and other premium "comfort" brand shoes. I was really disappointed, as the shoe is so cool looking. If you decide to try them, I found that a 39 is a true size eight or UK 6. As ever, Zappos was awesome in handling the return.
