I wrote a review above. I wish I could edit it. When these beautiful boots first arrived, I couldn't get them on to save my life. I was so disappointed. This morning after knowing I was going to have to return them, I tried them again, no luck. Then I tried them without socks, but with tights. I was able to get them on easier. Then I tried again with thin socks and voila! They just needed to be broken. They still don't just slide on, but I can at least get them on and wear them now and I Love Them! I buy Ugg (5 pairs) because the quality, fit and comfort. The product is consistent.

I love these boots! I was a bit unsure at first after reading the reviews on how hard to get on, but knowing I have a slim foot & ankle I went ahead & ordered them in my regular size. They were a little bit difficult to get on at first, so I can see where someone with a wider foot or ankle would have a problem. I bought them as my go to boot for everyday while away on a trip to UK. I have worn them everyday, so comfortable!

I absolutely love these boots! They look great with just about anything. As per previous reviews, they are very hard to get on at first but after a number of wears it does eventually get easier. The tight ankle just makes the fit so much better, so I am not complaining about how hard they are to get on. I wish that I had the money to go back and get another pair in black.

I'm in love with these boots! Straight out of the box, they slipped right on. No problems with socks or even my orthotics. I ordered my exact size and they fit perfect. I guess I have thin ankles/feet because I can slide them off without unzipping them.

This is an update to my previous post because I decided to keep the boots. I took the boots to a shoe repair shop and had them stretched for just a few bucks. They feel great and it is easier to slip my feet inside. I love them! I also brought inserts for arch support.

I love these and think they are super comfortable. The first few times it was difficult to get my foot into them, but they have gotten much better.

I was really worried about purchasing these boots when I saw the reviews saying people couldn't get their feet into the boot. I haven't had any issues. Does it slip on like a tennis shoe or flat? No, but if you unzip the side zipper and put a little weight behind your heel, it goes on perfectly. I love these boots and I am so glad I bought them.

Like other people have said, these boots are very hard to get on at first but very very quickly break in. The top of the boot is a bit wider, almost flared, than I would like. And the sole is not as sturdy as older Ugg boots of similar style. When it comes time to resole, I will get a heavier Vibram sole. It is not a total deal breaker for me. The hidden snakeskin behind the zipper is a surprisingly nice touch. I have had a pair of Ugg Endell boots for five years. And besides being very very worn in they are holding up better than any pair of boots that I have owned. Not being ones to follow fads, I never thought that I would be an Ugg boot owner but now I have three pairs, two boots and the classic shearling style I hope these prove to be as good as my other Uggs are! I am giving them four stars since I think they cheapened the sole.

Love these! I walk, a lot. It took many mailings back and forth between Zappos and me to find a comfortable boot that I felt could stand up to a winter in London. I have to pack lightly so I can't take a bunch of shoes and boots, but these and my Frye boots (Lace combat in whiskey) made the cut. Yes, they are difficult to put on initially, but they become much easier very quickly, within the first 3 wearings. These are probably not going to work for you if you have a narrow foot. Get a shoe/boot horn if you need one, but this is a great boot for this price. I'm an 8-8.5 in dress shoes, an 8.5 in street shoes, and a 9 (sometimes 9.5) in running shoes. My left foot is smaller than my right, I have fat toes and narrow heels, and do not have a voluminous foot--imagine duck feet, but not orange. I ordered an 8.5, and will wear thick socks with them. I don't give anything 5 stars.

So I saw these boots at Nordstrom but they did not have my size and I could not even get them on, though I did not want to try very hard at the time. I loved them too much not to see what I thought of them though, and the person who said that she put them on with tights and then they fit better was absolutely correct. It just depends on how much you like them. I thought about these boots for two weeks before I finally made the decision to buy them and now that I have broken them in a little I love them. They are pretty light and they go well with everything that I want to wear them with. You just have to decide whether or not it is worth it to break them in, but I really like the brand and these boots are no exception to the quality.

Just want to say, I ordered 3 pairs of boots on Thursday and received them on Friday. Incredible, Zappos! These were my second choice. If they came in narrow I think they might have fit okay, but they are still a little more "rugged" looking than I wanted because of the leather. I liked the sheepskin insole. I could get them on okay, even with fat socks but not as easily as the Softwalks I am keeping.

I really wanted to try this boot. I thought it would be perfect for visiting my daughter on her college campus in Colorado. It was stylish, low heeled, and rugged enough for walking outside without the flat big foot look of Uggs. It is even padded inside! I read the reviews and thought that no boot could be that hard to get on. How WRONG I was!!! I have never encountered a boot that hard to get on! And no, it does not have anything to do with the buckle. While I have a high instep, my ankles are skinny. But even my instep was not the problem--it definitely is some design flaw that I cannot believe made it out of the trial stage. Besides the difficulty getting it on (I did finally get it on after working up a sweat and exhausting myself). I was hoping it could be something that would loosen up over time but it is not) there is really some "funky" bulge under the big toe. I am not sure if they were trying to make a toe ridge (like Birkenstock does) or it, too, is a design flaw. Either way the boots were boxed back up the same day they were received.

I read all the reviews about this boot and ordered 1/2 a size up and was so excited when they arrived! They were just what I wanted, but I could not get my feet in! I literally broke into a sweat trying!. Once my foot was in, it really felt lovely and cozy, but I cannot go through the same routine every time I want to wear them. Sadly, I am returning them.

These boots are absolutely gorgeous but they still went back for many of reasons. They are a struggle to get on but my feet did make it inside. They are narrow for a medium width and they have very little arch support. I try to walk around in them to loosen up but no go!! I wish I could have kept them but not at the cost of making my feet hurt. It seems like the cheap UGGs were more comfortable.

I wanted to love these boots. I don't have a particularly high instep, but it's nearly impossible to get these boots on. The gusset simply isn't generous enough near the bottom of the boot. (It's not the buckled belt that hampers; it's the gusset itself). Back they go! Thank you Zappos for your incomparable service!

Nice looking boot but I could not get the right one on my foot! The zipper placket prevents the bottom 2 inches of the boot zipper from spreading open. The buckle strap makes it difficult to zip it open and closed. Sending these back.

I too loved the look of these boots; however, you just can't put them on without a struggle and a sore foot. It's a bad design flaw unfortunately, because they're a cute style. I too am sending mine back.

I love the look of these boots, so I was very disappointed that I had to return them. I normally wear an 8.5, but sometimes 9 to give myself room for my favorite cushy socks, so I ordered 9. I could not get the left boot on - not even with slippery tights! The weird thing is - my right foot is my bigger foot and I could get the right one on with regular socks. My niece tried them on and found the same thing - couldn't get the left one on. Bummer.

The earlier reviews are not exaggerating. I do not have a large foot, yet I literally could not push my foot to reach to the bottom of the shoe. The boots look lovely, but you must have the ankle of a contortionist to actually get the shoes to fit! Very disappointing Ugg.
