I have a very difficult foot to fit; 5.5 Wide with a high instep. I need a boot immediately as my old boots have worn out. I ordered a 6 medium and it fits perfect. I am able to wear my favorite socks made in VT. (Darn Tough). They are high and that is great for shoveling, snowshoeing etc. I ordered them on Wednesday night and they arrived today (Friday morning). Just in time for the most recent frigid weather and weekend storm. Thank you Zappos you are truly amazing.

Love, love, love this boot. After ordering-returning about 10 pairs of winter boots of all different brands and sizes, these are the winner. Warm (the wind chill is -24 today), snug where they should be, good lug soles. Admittedly, they seem to run a little smaller than my size 9 Kamik rain boots but I don't want too much extra space in the toes.

Let me start by saying I have three pairs of Kamik rain boots...I love them. They fit so well it's almost like they're custom made for me. So, I thought I'd try their winter boots, hoping for the same experience. It didn't happen. The boots are high quality and very warm. I've had the opportunity to test them in ten below zero...yes, my toes got cold, but I still think it's a very warm boot. Above zero has been fine. Below zero maybe I need better socks. Overall they're easy to get on, and the speed laces work great. The boot has good tread. It's easy to walk through snow and I feel fairly stable on ice. The fit though left a little to be desired...I had to add insoles. The boot runs maybe a little wide and seems large in the heel area. My feet are narrow. They're also a bit heavy/stiff so it took about a week to get used to and I still don't think they're really great for walking (I walk a mile to/from the train). So, I think they're truly made for weather conditions but wish they were a little more comfortable. On the plus side they aren't the Sorel boots everybody is wearing nowadays (I slipped and fell in a pair of Sorels once...never again).

These were purchased for my daughter. She was going to send them back as they were a bit large, but then the snow hit. She is not a sock person, but the addition of socks did the trick. They are incredibly warm and definitely keep the snow out. They do well in icy conditions too.

I have high arches and insteps, a narrow heel and relatively wide forefoot, so finding shoes to fit is difficult. Living with kids and dogs in upstate NY, a warm waterproof snow boot is essential, and comfortable ones seem as elusive as Sasquatch. For comparison, I wear a New Balance 9D sneaker and a Cole Haan 9C pump. Note that in all the Baffin styles I tried, I ordered up a full size per other reviewers’ recommendations, and my experience supports their accuracy. I tried the following: 1. Kamik Momentum (9B) has very bulky fur at the top which might be cute with leggings but won't fit under snowpants. It is less narrow and has a better lateral feel than the Kamik Snowvalley, but it pokes into the back of my ankle (possibly because of placement of the logo). The bungee laces are very difficult to cinch, and once tightened they drag on the ground enough to trip me. The upper is nicely flexible, but it is not snowshoe compatible. 2. Kamik Snowvalley (9B) feels very narrow, and is so unstable laterally I am sure twisted ankles would result from wearing them beyond my family room. The upper is flexible for an easy forward stride, but my heels slip a lot when walking. The laces are much easier to tighten than the bungees on the Momentum, but it is also not snowshoe compatible. 3. Baffin Kara (10B) also feels narrow in the toes and has lots of heel slip when I walk. It is more flexible in the ankle for a natural stride but is not snowshoe compatible. 4. Baffin Hannah (10B) is snowshoe compatible. The rubber comes up higher on the foot, which makes the boot difficult to put on and very tight on my instep. The laces are difficult to tighten, and my heels slip a lot when I walk, despite the squishing of my forefoot. 5. Baffin Kristi (10B) is also snowshoe compatible. It is 1” taller than the Kara, but is the lightest weight-wise (not warmth) of the 5 pairs I tried. It is stiffer than the Kara, but wider in the forefoot. The laces are easier than the Hannah’s to tighten, and my heels stay put when I walk. It does have a slightly forward-pitched feel to it, almost like a wedge so you’re walking more on the ball of your foot than your heel, and though I would prefer a more neutral differential, for me that isn’t a deal breaker. It is not perfect, but is the best fit of these 5 pairs so is what I will keep. I am really hoping that as I wear it, the insole will compress a bit to give my toes some more wiggle room, and the ankle will become more flexible so I can have a more natural stride. It is rated to -58F so hopefully will keep me warm. I hope my search results will help you in your quest for winter warmth!

I ordered this because it said Removable Insole. Well, I couldn't get anything out. It all seemed to be one piece and there was nothing I could reach in and pull out. I would have put my orthotic in there, but if I can't pull out an insole, there's not enough room. There was also this like padding, I guess insulation, that was over the toes and I guess I could see how that sounded like a good idea, but there's like not enough room for your foot, it felt weird. I had fairly thin socks on too. Wouldn't you want somewhat of a winter sock to fit in there?

These are great freaking boots. My feet were super warm, and while my friends were slipping all over the place, I never slipped once on the snow or the icy streets of Bear Valley. I just wish they were practical to use in my home town on the central coast of California!

I'm outside a lot, which is why I was looking something warm and waterproof. These are good looking and very functional. I don't use the laces really and just pull the boot on. They could use some straps for pulling them on. They're fairly warm with thick socks but you will feel some cold, nothing uncomfortable. I wear an 8 1/2 tennis shoe so I thought I would get the 9 to make room for socks. The 9 was way too big, although I kept them, I should have ordered an 8 1/2. Even with thick socks the 9 is too roomy.

Received these boots for Christmas from my husband and I couldn't be happier! The colors and overall appearance are as pictured. I ordered one size up to allow for bulky winter socks and they fit well, are comfortable and match my winter coat I bought a few years ago. The quality seems good and I'll have to see how they stand up to the slush and salt. But truly, the most comfortable, warm and nice fitting boots I've had in years! And the delivery was free and super fast, too!

Very cute, very cozy boot! I have average-to-narrow feet, and ordered my regular shoe size (an 8) despite some other reviews noting these boots run small. They fit me perfectly, with room for a nice winter sock. Highly recommend!

These boots seem to run a bit large. The laces are super long. I am sending them back because I don't want to deal with wrapping the laces around the calf of the boot every time I wear them. They were warm with a good feel to the sole of the feet.

I was disappointed in these boots when they arrived. The shaft material is very slippery making it hard to keep the laces tied tightly. Secondly, I clearly ordered a size 8, but the boots inside the size 8 box were actually 7.5.

I went online looking for black snow boots and thought these might fit the bill. They started to look kind of...familiar...and then I realized I have the exact same pair in brown! Ha! Suffice it to say that I do like these boots. I am a stay-at-home mom in Wisconsin and in the winter I increasingly just want to wear my boots everywhere! I like my feet staying warm and dry. So I've been wearing the brown ones often for the past couple winters and they have held up great and done the job. They are also fairly cute, for snow boots, and light-weight. I wear them out shopping with leggings and jeans, and although they definitely are SNOW BOOTS and not fashion boots, I think they look pretty cute with the fur trim. Although they are lace-up, I mostly just leave mine tied now and can pull them on and off. Probably not recommended, but it works. I'm between an 8 and 8.5 and the 8 fits me great.

These boots are warm, comfortable, and look great. Built in the USA too. They feel a little big, but as a winter boot, you would expect room for thick socks.

Comfortable and durable boots. Many boots I've tried are not comfortable for hours of standing and walking. These are fantastic! I've worn them while schlepping around the ski resort (I am a non-skier) with my kids, shoveling snow, and playing in the snow with my kids. Comfortable, easy on/off, and keep my feet warm and dry.

A+ boots! Got them, tried them on, it was like the boot was hugging my foot. I followed the size chart & these fit perfectly...I usually wear a 7/7.5 & ordered an 8. Went on a 3 mile walk in 20 degree weather with a thin pair of everyday socks, wool socks over those, and the warmth was amazing, it was like having little heaters on my feet! The comfort was like wearing two year old shoes that have been broken in, perfect. I am so happy with these boots & they are super cute as well, would definitely recommend. When I went to order an 8, it said they were out of stock. I signed up for an email notification when they were in stock again & the next morning I got an email saying there were two in stock so I ordered them quickly!

great boot, comfortable, warm, dry and stylish! worse them in CO mountains at 30-40°. also wore them snowshoeing! my feet were happy!

Great pair of boots!!I needed a pair for a Ski trip to Utah. It was between these and Sorels. I saw a video of a woman slipping in her Sorels, so I opted for Kamiks. Excellent traction in the snow and these boots saved me from falling numerous times! I wear a 7.5 and I purchased the 8 in Black. They fit very well with a pair of thick cozy socks. I wore them one day with thin sport socks and I found my feet to be a little chilly. Nothing major. Once I changed up to thick cozy sock, all was toasty. They are extremely cushy and light. Fast/Easy to lace up. I love the style and the faux fur trim.

I really love these boots. I found them to be true to size, super comfortable and really cute. I wore them for hours walking and they didn't bother me at all.

I love my new snow boots! They're warm and stylish and fit great. There's enough room for thick socks. I like the laces, which allow for a custom fit. Excellent tread for safe walking. Great purchase!

I'd ordered a few pairs of winter boots to try on and these were the winners! I knew from the second I tried them on, they fit cozy and held well. I haven't worn them out in the elements yet (hasn't showed yet here in Nebraska....!), but I'm happy with them. I wanted white winter boots that wouldn't get dirty Day 1 and so that's why I picked these because of the mixture of white, tan, and black on the bottom. Good price point too, way less expensive than the Sorrels.
