I'm glad Zappos has a great return policy. These shoes in an 11.5 wide are a full 1/4 inch narrower than my Keen McKenzie shoes in an 11 regular. No way I can wear them. Not for wide feet.

I got these to have a pair of place shoes to go with black pants. They are not all that comfortable... very little arch support. They are okay to wear for a while but not if you are going to be on your feet all day. I don't really recommend them. I wear a size 16 so shoes of this kind are hard to come by, so that is the main reason I bought them. My size 15 Merrells are much more comfortable.

I ride my bike to commute to work and get around in general. I wanted something water resistant/proof for days when there is light rain and the Koven seemed perfect. I'll start with the positive aspects: They're very comfortable and have reflective thread woven into the ribbon on the back and for the shoelace loops. The downside: They aren't water resistant at all. Biking home during a light rain, I noticed that after a brief exposure, water began seeping in through the mesh above the toes. I contacted Keen staff about the issue, thinking that it might be a manufacturing error. While I got an auto-response saying they would respond in 2-3 days, over a week later no-one has responded. I d return them to the store, but I ve already worn them enough that they re showing signs of wear. Overall the shoes are comfortable. I ve only had them for a couple weeks, so I can t comment on their durability. The fact that they re advertised as waterproof but aren't and the lack of a response from customer service push me to rate them pretty low though.

Long time fan of Keen's, for me and my three boys. Keen shoes are awesome, but for some reason this particular model had a defect on the eyelet. See? It is not even an eyelet per se, but a fabric ribbon that was poorly attached. At first use... *snap!* it broke when I pull then laces to tie them. I am exchanging them for some other Keen model. Still loyal to the brand.

I am a big Keen fan and have been wearing Keens for years now, but the Koven Low WP were a big disappointment (and a waste of my money). They seemed to fit decently at home, but once I wore them outside (so it was too late to send them back) I realized that the laces do not go up far enough,so the ankle is loose and so the foot slides forward when going down hill. I tried different solutions such as tightening the laces (that hurt the tops of my feet) and getting the shoes stretched, but nothing really helped. I am disappointed and will just have to buy something else as these just are not comfortable.

So very disappointed. I have owned a pair of Keen sandals for many years, I love them. I bought these Koven Kow WP in the fall and wore them 10-15 times during our unusually mild winter in Chicago. I was saving them for the winter weather. Well, I wore them the first time in wet weather last week and my feet got soaked? It was a light rain/snow mix, less than 1/2 inch of snow. After walking for about 20 mins. my feet were freezing. I took my shoes off at work and my socks were wet. The shoes are true size but mine are not waterproof. I would return them but I have had them for 4 months.

Wow, terrible quality control. Like many others have said, the top eyelet loops broke on both shoes - three of the four. I had to pay a repair guy to fix them. Worse, only four months after purchase, and not even every day use, stitching on the toe cap came completely apart on both shoes, in three places total. At this point there are holes on top of the shoes. It is too bad, because they are comfortable and waterproof. Zappos refunded my money, of course, because they are awesome.

The Keen Koven WP is a great fitting shoe meeting all of my expectations for comfort and style. My first pair I received from Zappos had a busted top shoe lace loop on the right shoe. I believed it to be a simple mistake and with Zappos' no hassle return policy I was not bothered to get a new pair. My second pair arrived two days later. I scrutinized this pair a bit more. There was a small rogue glue stain on the right shoe. The same shoe also had a minor defect on the sole. Both workmanship defects were minor in my eyes as they did not affect fit, form, or function. My first hike was a short three mile gravel path. The shoes were extremely comfortable for the simple hike. My second hike started and ended with a broken shoe lace loop, this time on the left shoe. A brief scan of reviews of various Keen Koven WP retailers leads me to believe Keen has a systemic issue with failing top shoe lace loops. I will be reluctantly requesting a refund and finding a different manufacturer for my new pair of hiking shoes.

I bought a pair of these shoes for my son. The first time he wore them, one lace loop at the top broke and by the time he had put them on for the third time, all four of the lace loops were broken. They are obviously very poorly stitched. This makes them unwearable. The previous two pairs of Kovens that he has had have been excellent, durable, long lasting shoes. This is a huge disappointment. I noticed that there are other reviews on Kovens that describe the same problem. Keen needs to pay attention to this defect since I am reluctant to buy their shoes again.

Disappointed with this style of Keens - a shoe lace retainer loop broke on my first pair after less than a week so I exchanged them for a new pair. Second pair has now broken after about two weeks. They were nice while they lasted, but obviously a flawed design with the loops. (Hint to Keen - just use a grommet in the leather for shoe lace loop!)
