I walk every single day. In all weather. I need some serious snow boots and I'd like some that don't look seriously awful. Style wise, these look as good as snow boots get. I love the way they textured the toes so that the rubber doesn't look quite so rubbery. I hope more styles come out with that. I really wanted to like these, but they were constructed so cheaply for $150 boots! I would have thought they came from Payless. To compare, last year I grabbed a pair of snow boots from Target (I had moved from California and needed snow boots ASAP), but you get what you pay for and they developed a crack by the end of the winter. I hate to say this, but my Target boots were better designed than these. The Wapato's gusset only goes up to just below the third shoelace ring. You can see where that is on the picture - less than halfway up the shaft. My cheap Target boots have a gusset that goes all the way up. C'mon, Keen, it can't cost THAT much more to include another 4 inches of leather. There is no such thing as a waterproof boot with a separate tongue and calf. If you order these be aware that the waterproofing only goes to the ankle. Keen's cheap-out number two: the faux fur trim. While the fur around the top is nice and soft, it is thin and decorative only. Fur trim can help keep snow from going down the top of the boot, but it has to be thick. Again, my $40 Target cheapy boots have faux fur trim that is STILL (after a year of wear) thicker and deeper than these brand new Keens. Ouch. That's embarrassing. I haven't worn these out, because I plan to return them, so I can't comment on how they are to walk in, or how durable they are.

These boots are highly functional- warm, comfortable, and CUTE! I'm very pleased with my purchase. They run true to size. I have narrow feet so I really had difficulty with the Joan of Arctics from sorel. These look way nicer and feel way nicer. Glad I went with keen.

Nice boot. It is true to size and is fitted, but enough room to wear a fluffy sock. They look nice and can be loosened to fit pants inside the boot. I also tried a similar style in Sorel, but I liked these a lot better. Haven't worn in the snow yet, but my foot got very hot wearing it around the house. I think it'll be a nice warm boot for our cold Chicago winters.

These boots are amazing! I have read a bunch of negative comments and just don't understand what these other people were looking for in a boot that they did not find in this boot. The quality is top notch; the boot is extremely warm and very comfortable. I wear an 8 1/2 shoe but ordered a size 9 boot to be sure I could wear a heavy wool sock. With those heavy socks, the size 9 fits just right. I could have fit into an 8 1/2 with thinner socks, but who wears thin socks in winter? Also, I have wide calves that measure 17" and these boots fit my calves just fine! Love these boots.

Stylish, very good looking boots. They seemed to sell out immediately, so when one pair was available again here, I snatched them up. Fit is perfect. (I wear size 8 in shoes, and 8.5 in hiking boots + other boots.) Good quality, thick leather. (This may be why some reviewers say they feel stiff.) So far they are comfortable though. So glad I got these. (Wanted something stylish to wear with jeans to business casual meetings.)

I read all reviews on this item and now it's time to speak the truth. I received these boots today. Friend bought them for me as I do deep snow hiking. I am nature and wildlife photographer and I cover lots of grounds in a winter. I disagree with all negative review. These boots are not for Black Tie reception. These are boots for wilderness and area that gets lots of a snow. It has excellent arch support, comfortable, fuzzy, fluffy and toasty warm. Never ever you can take boots off if they are laced up...you must unlace them and take them off or buy zipper boots. For me this is great Keen product for the price. Love them.

These are great! Cute, comfortable, warm for outdoors, yet not sweltering when indoors. Bit stiff, as others have said - exactly as expected for snow boots (they are not Uggs. Thank goodness). Playing with the laces a little (looser here, tighter there...) helped to smooth out the fit - take pressure off the stiff spots. These are great all-day-weekend boots: perfect for leggings and skinny jeans or tights & little flippy skirts...rugged and warm for Chicago streets...yet cute and comfy indoors. Felt true to size to me - I wear 7-7.5 in shoes - always order 8s in boots. The 8s are just right - true to the size I hoped/expected them to be. Outstanding service from Zappos.VIP - as always. Thank you, Zappos!

These boots look great and I ordered them as an alternative to bulkier boots like Sorel. Unfortunately it was very hard to get them on. I had to unlace them part way to get t6hem on my foot and then taking them off was even worse. I returned them.

I had to unlace them to get them on/off, but once they were on I could not get them tight. They are large through the ankle and fairly roomy in the calf - which would be great if you do not have skinny calves and ankles. The material around and over the foot is very stiff and unforgiving. As it folded to allow my foot flex, it dug into the top of my foot. They look great, seem very warm durable. Note the rather tall heel for otherwise outdoorsy boots.

I loved these boots, and loved how the laces supported the boot around my leg. The one problem was that the back scraped against my ankle, so I had to return them; they were too uncomfortable to wear.

These boots are VERY heavy! They are extremely stiff and the toe box seemed to be pressing down on the tops of my feet. It is not quick or easy to get these boots on and off. They seem incredibly durable and I am sure they could stand up to an Arctic expedition but, in hindsight, I really don't need that serious of a boot to survive a Montana winter. The pair I received also came with scuffs and scratches in the leather as though they were previously worn. Returning them.

These are fantastic boots! They are stylish, comfortable and very warm. I live in Tennessee - we usually have mild winters - but these boots would be perfect in even the coldest temperatures. I wear them with jeans (short or tucked in). They look great on - not as bulky as the picture might appear. It was about half a size larger/wider - but this would be perfect if wearing heavy socks.

These are awesome boots! They have awesome styling, attention to detail, what you expect from Keen. What you do not expect from Keen is a narrow foot box. This was a non-issue for me as normal Keens are a little roomy for me in the foot box; having said that if you have wide feet this is probably not the style Keen boot for you. I can wear them fully laced up, but being a shorter stature woman it feels better to have top lace undone. I did not need to unlace to put the boot on and off like other reviewers so I think this varies from person to person. The heel is a little higher than other Keens so will take some getting use to for me. I am overall stoked once again with my Keen boot purchase.

I love these boots! I was looking for Sorels but liked that these were slightly cheaper. Gorgeous, super warm, well made, and relatively water proof although I haven't tried them in deep snow. They are a little heavy but no heavier than other boots I've owned. The size I got was true to size.

I absolutely love these boots, they are water proof and so comfortable. I seen these on a woman when I went somewhere and I asked her where she got them, she told me Zappos she asked me if I ever heard of it and I said yes, last year I ordered some walking shoes and they are the Best shoes ever. I love Zappos.

I live in Chicago and have been on a long time mission to find boots that are actually warm and especially waterproof, because warmth is useless with snow seeping into your toes. I haven't gotten to try these outside yet but they just came and I immediately stepped into the tub and ran cold water over them from the shower.. My socks came out totally dry! I am so impressed. I also ordered a half size larger and like the fit. They are super cute I actually like the look better than Sorel's Joan of Arctics. They are much more subtle and can easily by worn all day inside or outside. A little annoying to get on and off but worth it for customizable fit and water proof seal (as opposed to zipper.) Definitely excited to have these for this winter!

Fit is true to size, and I wear a 7 1/2 with a normal width. There is still a tiny bit of extra room for some thicker socks without sacrificing comfort. Keen are pretty tough shoes that are made well and last a long time. This particular pair is not only rugged, but stylish as well, which is exactly the combination I was looking for for camping, light hiking, and winter.

Super cute! I live in Fairbanks, Alaska and these have fantastic traction and wiggle room for extra layers of socks at -50 (they run a hair big but it works out for me). I would totally recommend these for walking around outside in winter months.

We got blasted with snow this winter in Boston. Not only the snow, but the temps were very cold for long periods of time. I usually have really cold gear for those day in the single digits and only have to wear them sometimes. This winter I wore my warmest down coat and these boots constantly. Love the boots. They do take a little effort to get off but are worth it. The boots are very comfortable, seem true to size, and are only for very cold weather. I got a flat tire and it took me (and my husband) about 40 minutes in 7 degree cold to change the tire...My hands froze but my feet were very warm!

These boots are toasty warm and perfect for walking on a snowy, cold day. They have nice tread which grips in the snow and a very fuzzy interior. The foot area is quite roomy which is good if you like a very thick sock, or if like me, you really like to add an additional arch support (like Doctor Scholl's). The arch support of the boot itself is very good, but I have super flat feet and my extra orthotic ( non custom, soft) fits perfectly overtop. I purchased the Burnt olive color and it has a nice, rugged outdoorsy look. My twelve year old likes them, too. I wore them out for four hours of sledding n the park with the kids and my feet stayed dry and warm.

Love these boots! Super comfortable but, if you're looking for a boot to spend hours out in the snow, these are not it. I live in Massachusetts and have found these to be my go to boot if I'm out running errands or will be in and out of buildings all day. But they are not warm enough to hang out in the snow for hours. I have a super insulated pair of North Face boots for playing out in the snow, but found those were too clunky for everyday wear.

Hooray, I found my winter boots! I usually wear an 8.5 in the average shoe and a 9 in Keens. The 9 in this boot felt a little big with a regular sock, but perfect with a thick cozy winter sock. The boot is pleasantly clunky but still very cute, and also very warm. I never have foot pain in any of my Keen shoes.

I have really narrow feet / bony ankles/ skinny calves and a lot of trouble finding boots that fit. These felt okay in the toe box (yay!), but that's where the positives end. There was just too much room around my ankle and when I walked the boot material would crumple around my ankle and rub. Also, I had to cinch the laces down really tightly and I still had room around my calves. And finally, the boots are really stiff - not a problem by itself, but with the other fit problems, I have to return these beautiful boots.

I ordered 2 pair in different sizes for my youngest daughter for Christmas, I gave her the size I thought would fit for her gift. She loved them and wears them every day. We live in the UP in the Copper Country where we get tons of snow. I was going to ship the other pair back, but my oldest daughter wanted to try them. Well she wanted to keep them too. They are very warm and keep their feet dry and cozy from all of the snow.

Love these boots. Average calves, narrow feet and ankles. Excellent footbed shape - actually shaped like supportive shoes, not just moon boots. I can wear these with average or thicker socks, jeans in or out. The black is a black with dark indigo detailing, which is subtle but more interesting to look at than plain black. Great for jeans or a black themed outfit. The Olive/brown is more of a statement. I like the 'steam-punk' effect of the detailing, really fun. Sole isn't very aggressive, but absolutely adequate for anything other than hard ice. Fits like a glove! I compared these to the similar Merrell Polarand Rove Peak Waterproof, and these won hands down on the fit. I don't need a hard core backcountry boot, so the technical aspects are less important to me. They are fuzzy and warm, with room to wiggle my Reynaud's-plagued toes.
