I bought these boots a half size smaller as suggested by Luchese. I also ordered the wide. I am usually a size 8½M but ordered the 8W. The fit was perfect. The only suggestion that I have is I would like if the calf was a little wider. Thank you.

I wear between 8½ and 9 in shoes. I already own a pair of Lucchese boots in 8½ that fit perfectly, so I initially ordered these in 8½. They fit my feet just as well as my other boots, but the shaft was too tight around my left calf. According to the Lucchese website, the 8½ should fit a calf up to 14½". My calf measures 14¼". The boots were not so tight that I could not get them on, but they pinched a bit, so I contacted Lucchese to find out if they would quickly stretch to a better fit. According to Lucchese, they will not stretch much around the shaft, so I exchanged for a size 9. The size 9 fits around my calfs, but is too wide across the ball of my foot, so back they go! After The 8½ boots look just like the boots in the picture, but the size 9 looks much more distressed. The leather around the foot is much lighter (almost beige) and not smooth - much cheaper looking leather. In addition, the shaft on the size 9 boots was already wrinkled around the ankles.

These boots are drop dead gorgeous. The pictures don't do them justice. I'm 5'9" and 140 lbs, with a shoe size of 9, a 14" calf. I ordered these in an 8.5, and the fit is perfect with regular socks. I could have gone down another half size if I wanted to wear thin socks. These hit right at the widest point of my calf, which is a very flattering height for skinny jeans, leggings, skirts, and shorts. I anticipate they will drop about 1" when fully broken in. The foot bed feels true to width. The color is just beautiful, a rich, dark red that goes with just about anything. I was afraid the red would be too bold, but it's subtle enough to match most outfits, and looks especially fabulous with a dark olive green. As far as comfort, these are pretty reasonable for fashion footwear. They form to the foot well, with no pinching or crowding. I wanted something to wear for dressy occasions that would be more comfortable than heels, and these fit the bill nicely. I normally wear minimalist footwear, so while these aren't quite on that level, they're very comfortable for what they are. Overall, I would highly recommend these boots. They're gorgeous, versatile, and more comfortable than the average stylish shoe. Love them.

OK, so this is my 2nd review on these boots after wearing them for the first time today(I shouldn't have rushed the 1st review). These boots are incredible! Instant comfort right out of the box. I first bought a pair of cheaper boots and they dug into my ankles when I walked and the heel slip was so bad that I almost couldn't walk(returned them) These fit perfectly, like they used my foot for the mold.(very true to size) Yes, they are very distressed, very marked and creased where my ankle and toes bend but that's what makes them so comfortable. I don't think I could buy any other boot after wearing my Lucchese. Love these boots!

I am a true size 8.5 so that's what I ordered and it fits perfectly! This is a very well made, quality boot. I'm very happy with it.

I purchased these boots about a year ago - a bit on the pricey side but I absolutely love them. I would say they're worth the purchase. I get compliments on them all the time. I wear them with classier dresses, casual dresses, pants, or short (jean) skirts. They're also extremely comfortable. I typically wear a 7.5 for dress shoes, & usually a 7.5-8 for athletic shoes or boots. My boots are a 7.5 & they fit beautifully. They seem a little bit narrower than some shoes, but my feet happen to be a bit narrow. Also, I don't have very large calves yet they seem to hug my calves (in a comfortable way). If you have medium to larger calves, you might want to try these in an extended calf if available. LOVE THESE BOOTS!!

The boot fit really well in the foot but tight around the calf. I do have more muscular calves so maybe this wasn't the right fit for me. Otherwise, a very beautiful boot!
