I love Keens. I was used to wearing a Presidio and noticed that the Briggs has a little wider toe box and the heel depth is a little shallow in comparison but overall Keens rock. Make sure to order half a size larger.

I had to exchange the size 11 for a 12, yikes, that's a big girl foot! I still cannot get my orthotic and foot in the left shoe with the footbed in and the shoe is too hard to take it out completely. I like the shoe and have worn it for a couple of weeks. It is not as cushioned as some other Keens I have worn and the arch is low. It's an adequate shoe but I wouldn't get another pair.

They fit as expected and replaced my old Keens perfectly. They arrived with a loose stitch on the tongue that is unraveling, however, but I needed them right away and decided not to exchange them.

I like the shoe a lot but getting the right size is a drag - it isn't really a half size too small but a little less, so I was caught between two sizes. In the end I ordered a few pairs of my regular size and found one that fit; going up a half size was too big.
I concentrated so much on the length that I didn't notice until I really wore them that the right shoe was more narrow than the left and so one of the internal seams was uncomfortable. Tired of replacing the shoe so often I just put a wooden ball in to stretch the leather.
But then the shoelace broke after three wearings! The metal ring is too sharp and frays the lace every time it is pulled to tie. The other lace is showing the same wear. It was all a bit much and now I'm contemplating returning them, despite how much I like the style. Customer service has been great and I'll have one last go before giving up.

I own a pair of Keen's Toyah and I love them. I have a wide toe box and narrow heel and the Toyahs were made for my feet but time to replace. Very disappointed that Keen has discontinued them. While Briggs has a similar look, the fit is not the same. I found my regular 7.5 size a little bit short. The toe box is wide like the Toyah, but the heel is not narrow enough for me. The sole of the shoe is too stiff for me. I ordered Presidio from another site (sorry Zappos, you didn't have my size in stock) and I find the Presidio more comfortable. The Presidio has a wide toe box and while the heel is not as narrow as I would like, but it is overall more comfortable than the Briggs. I wish Keen would bring back the Toyah - It was a wonderful shoe! Zappos, outstanding service as always.

I purchased the green color of this shoe about a year ago and it was perfect. I ordered my next pair and I can tell they have changed the style. Toe box not as large and shoe seems longer. It is just okay. I liked the previous style better. Not sure if I will order again.

I like the fact that it's leather and I like the various brown tones, but it felt big and clunky, and made my foot look huge, so I returned it.

I think Keens are great solid shoes. I've had the Briggs in the past but this is a design that I did not like. Its low in the heel and either rubs your heal or your heal slips in and out. The new Briggs also look uglier and bulkier. I ended up getting the Presidio which I like much better.

Oh, how I wish Keen would bring back the old Briggs, or at least invest in some quality control. The old Briggs was a fabulous, well-made walking shoe with excellent arch support and great stability with flexibility. This version has almost no arch support, the heel is oddly low and slips, flexibility is poor, and it looks and feels cheap. The side leather is glued to the base, and on one pair I ordered (ordered two sizes) it was already separating. The other pair smelled awful (off-gassing). Back these go, and I give up on Keen.

I usually love the roomier toe box of Keens, but these are so wide and square-looking that they are, in my opinion, ugly. They were very comfortable except that they slipped in the heel, which I haven't had a problem with when wearing Keens in the past. I returned them.

I was so excited to see Briggs revived. Had really hoped it would be of a little better quality than the Presidio and Toyah. Put it on and it had such a good sturdy yet comfortable feel to it. Alas, the heel is cut way too low to keep from sliding up and down, not something one wants with a good oxford type. Almost as good as the old Briggs, but not quite. It seems to be a very well made shoe and I was so disappointed. Someone with a very low heel might enjoy this.

I normally wear size 10.5 or 11. I ordered these shoes in size 12, and they fit well with cotton socks. However, I have to return them back because of back of the shoe is very low, and the shoes come off when I walk. Another reason is a look, very bulky, with a huge front.
