I like Keen shoes because they are cut wide. As other reviewers have said, this shoe is not as wide as in the past, so I ordered a half size larger. The fit is good, not ideal as the shoe is longer than I really need. Others commented on the stiffness of the shoe. My feet need a stiff sole, but it is true that this feels stiffer all over than my previous Keens or Merrills. It is so stiff that I have to lace it VERY tight to keep my heel down in the shoe. I've been wearing them for some time nearly daily for 3 weeks; time will tell if they "break in" a bit more.

I love these hiking shoes! They are very comfortable. I tried them on in a brick and mortar store (not Zappos) prior to purchasing them on Zappos.com because I've heard that Keens tend to run a little small. I'm glad I did this! Typically I wear an 8.5 but I sized up to a 9 in this shoe for comfort reasons. In a 9 I have the right amount of room for toes and I can wear thick or medium thick hiking socks comfortably. I chose "felt a half size smaller than marked" in the Zappos.com options because this 9 felt like an 8.5. These shoes seem like they will breath decently and they have very nice tread. they feel like regular gym sneakers - not too clunky or stiff. I plan on using them for generic hiking as well as more advanced hiking.

All the reviews were right - this shoe runs a half size small. I didn't believe it when I read the reviews but now I wish I had. I'm a 7.5 and wish I had ordered an 8.

This is my second purchase of a keen shoe because the first pair was so comfortable and gave me heal pain relief from the first time I put them on. This pair has not been a disappointment...perfect fit and very comfortable! We have a small farm so I wear them everyday for hours and I like that they have a protective toe even on the sandal type that I bought first, I normally wear a 7 or 7 1/2 and I ordered these in a 7 1/2 and they fit perfect. I always read reviews before I purchase anything on line so I hope this helps someone. Great shoes for comfort and durability!

Super comfortable and cute. I love these shoes and have worn them everyday since I got them. Many of the reviews said that they ran a half size small, I did not feel like that was the case and I'm glad I stuck with my normal size when I ordered them.

I love them! I especially like the wide toe box. They are so comfortable for my big wide feet. The arch support is superb, the balance of the shoe feels wonderful and comfortable, the shoe grips the ground and does not slip. I can wear them all day in comfort. I certainly recommend them.

I have been wearing Keens for years, and I always wear a size 11. I ordered these and had them shipped right before a trip to Costa Rica. They arrived the night before (thank you, Zappos, for the VIP free one day shipping). I did not even try them on, as I have never had an issue with Keen fit. Well, what a mistake. These were just too short for me. My toes were banging into the ends of these shoes throughout my trip and it was really uncomfortable. Maybe size up half a size?

Love these shoes! I'm going to order another pair if they're still available. They protect my feet on the hard surfaces better than any other I've tried.

I bought this shoe in an 11 wide and think it is very good fit. I often have trouble finding shoes with adequate support, especially for walking long distances. So far I've found these shoes do not bother the foot that has recently had surgery. The version I bought has a little pop of color which adds a little fun to this shoe. It's a keeper.

I usually wear a 6.5 in Nike shoes so that is what I ordered in these shoes and they are very tight so order a half size bigger than you normally wear to be safe.

This is my second pair of Keen shoes and I like them as well as the first pair. I was looking for comfortable, casual shoes for running around doing errands and these fill the bill perfectly. They fit well and provide good support. From reading other reviews I did order a size up, but I think that I could have been OK with my normal size 7. I would definitely recommend them to others and I will buy Keen shoes in the future. As a matter of fact I purchased another pair in another style at the same time I bought these.

Love them. Love the price. I have another pair of Keen's and have had them for years. They last and hold up very well.

I REALLY enjoy this shoe - I've bought two pairs that, due to the nature of my work, both came to a sadly untimely end. However, for the duration of wear (about 8 months at almost 16 hours each working day) they were comfortable and practical. The grip on the bottom of these shoes is wonderful - as I crawl beams most days, this is a great feature for me. After destroying two pairs though, I've decided to try another brand and style, but I will definitely be buying a third pair of these at some point or another - hopefully I won't murder the next pair before I wear out the tread. The only real complaint I have is the toe guard. The second pair I bought, I managed to wear out the seam between the toe guard and the front of the shoe, leaving me with a hole in the perfect spot to get wet toes if I walk into a puddle. I wish that had been constructed more soundly, but it could just be the stress I end up putting on the shoes that I don't know about that caused its early end.

I usually buy Merrill brand, but decided to try Keen brand because I couldn't find what I liked in Merrill. These feel 1/2 size bigger than Merrill, but I'm very satisfied. I love these sneakers.

Keen has always been my first choice in an athletic shoe and this one is no exception. I was able to put it on and wear it with no "break in" time at all. I did read other reviews on this particular shoe and felt I should order a wide in 1/2 size larger. Perfect!

The shoe is well made and looks good - seems to be of great Keen quality. For me, the toe box is too narrow to accommodate a foot with a bunion even when going up a size.

These shoes were comfortable out of the box. They fit true to size and had the width in the toe box that I needed. I took these out for a hike last weekend and they were very sturdy yet comfortable.

Great shoes! VERY comfortable. You need a 1/2 size bigger. Wish they came in narrow but comfy anyway. Laces are placed to help them grip your feet.

You know how you want to kick your shoes off after you get back from a walk/hike? Well, I find I just leave these on, they are so comfortable. Nice roomy toe box, great arch support, and felt like a glove the first time I put them on. Love, love, love these shoes. Style is cute in that Keen-dorky kind of way.

After reading the reviews I ordered a half size larger than my normal size. A wise choice as the shoe fits me perfect. I have very wide feet & was pleased to step in the shoes and wear them comfortably for long periods of time. No "break in" time needed.

After reading other reviews, I'm glad I made the decision to go a half size up with these. Love that Keens have that wide toe box also. The magenta is a nice touch, not too girly but keeps them from looking too guy-ish. Can't wait to hit the trails with these!!

These do run small, order 1/2 size up. The wide toe box is great if you have to deal with bunions. The cushion in the sole makes this shoe a good choice for walking long distances on pavement, although I added a pair of gel insoles for extra comfort. Shoe is sturdy and appears to be well made.

I have Hallux Rigidus (arthritis of the big toe) and require shoes with a stiff forward sole to prevent bending at the toe. I also have a high arch and wide feet, so finding the right shoes for me is quite a challenge. The Keen Koven in wide width is a dream come true! it's rigid sole protects my big toe, and the wide width fits great. I wear them most days ell day. I just wish the wide width came in a brown color, too.

I already had a pair of Keen hiking boots, so I knew what size to get. Shoes are rather stiff but work well. I have walked miles on pavement with them, but only a few miles on dirt trails. So far, no problems

I have wide feet and struggle to find shoes that allow my pinky toe enough room. I also have flat feet and find that most shoes have either no arch support or too much arch support, which can leave me in a lot of pain. These shoes are amazing though. I'm generally fitted as a 9.5W, but these run a little short, so I bought a 10W. As for arch support, it's moderate in this shoe -- perfect for me. The soles aren't very flexible, but these shoes feel very supportive.
