I love these shoes. I have worn them every day since I received them. They are weatherproof and incredibly comfy. I did not even get a blister breaking them in.

I moved to the mountains and need a truly waterproof boot (& mud) that looked nice. Love these, I have a wide foot with high arch so easy on with zipper.

These boots are the perfect minimalist and all purpose boots! They work for fall, winter, and spring in rain or snow. I haven't actually tried them out in the snow yet but they're super waterproof and warm. They look good with pants or skirts and dresses, and they're simple and comfy! I've been wearing them every day since I got them, and I walk a lot and dance a lot and my feet are never uncomfortable. They're true to size also. I got the brown and they go with everything I own.

Love the looks of the boot, however, the zipper on the left boot is very difficult to work. It would also be helpful to have a pull tab on the back of the boots, as they are difficult to get on without one. I have worn Merrell shoes and boots for several years, but found these lacking in quality for the price and lacking decent arch support. Unfortunately, these will be returned.

I really liked the boot and how it fit but a bit too big. I am usually an 8 1/2. I sometimes go up to a 9 in certain shoes, but this shoe had a wide toe box etc so ended up true to size. Very comfortable right out of the box and it fit my orthotics. I am a Merrell fan, but first time having boots.

I've been buying short versions of Merrell Captiva waterproof boots for years. This year's styling is like the higher version (which I also own), which is cute, but I wish there were some differences so I didn't have two pairs of shoes that look the same. I need a high version and low version for walking around NYC in the rain and something that offers good support for my low arches and heel spur. I put my own insoles in since the ones that come with it don't have quite enough arch support for me. This boot seems pretty loose, especially compared to past versions, so I've had to double the insole.

Nice looking boot for the sloppy days of winter. Good wide toe box for my arthritic toes. Comfortable right out of the box.

4.5 stars: Great fit, nice style. The gap at top of ankle is a bit wide, so rain falls into my boot. But if you don't plan to be stomping around in heavy rain, shouldn't be much of a problem. Also, I have narrow feet & these are great. I'm normally an 8.5-9, but the size 8 works well for me.

I wore these boots out of the box with thick, wool socks because it was very cold outside. They were so comfortable I wore them the rest of the day and the next day, too. They are not high fashion boots, but they are warm and look fine with jeans and my corduroy pants. My feet stayed cozy and warm and the boot fits my hard to fit foot perfectly with no pinching or slipping. I ordered a half size up from my usual size to accommodate the wool socks and the fit is perfect.

I normally wear a 9.5 in Merrells, but these were quite roomy and just overall clunky. In addition, with the tight ankle and overly clunky toe box they make my feet just look really big! Waiting for the Merrell Duo's to come.

Bought these shoes for my vacation to Europe because I need waterproof and light boots, these boots fit the requirements. I like that they are quite comfortable to work in. BUT the first week of wear, the thread on top of one of the boots loosened and made a hole on top of the boot. This thread gap becomes bigger as I kept wearing them, and it just makes the boot ugly and non-waterproof. It was a big disappointment.

These boots were a disappointment. Upon trying them on, the toe box was oddly shaped inward and very large on the outer part of the foot which made my feet look huge. The upper shaft was very tight and pressed down on the top of my foot in a very uncomfortable way. They also were very stiff. The leather in its new state looked nice, but the treatment doesn't support polishing, so I'm guessing they would look worn very quickly. These were returned.

I ordered my usual size of 7 1/2M. I was hoping that these boots would be comfortable and waterproof, which is what I am looking for, but I could not even get my feet into the boots. They are nice looking, but I had to return them.
