I have some difficulty finding shoes I like that are comfortable and durable. These shoes excell in both categories. Merrill are about the only brand that provides the width I need and the serviceability plus style that places them above the rest. Zappos will tell you I return items that don't meet my standards. GREAT SERVICE!

These are the second pair of Merrell's I've purchased. The first pair was worn until they were completely worn out. This new pair is even more comfortable than the first. I have a wide foot so it's often difficult to find shoes that fit. Most company's don't offer a choice for wide so I'm very glad that Merrell does. Along with fitting perfectly, these shoes are extremely lightweight and I've been complimented on their look. Merrell is my "go to" shoe company and, of course, Zappos is the best place to buy them (best customer service on earth!!!).

I ordered these for my husband, knowing that he had a wide foot. These shoes fit him perfectly and he loved them from the minute he put them on.

Bought this shoe as a last minute choice to traipse around the muddy roads and mountains of Guatemala for a week. Literally didn't wear them until we got on the plane. No break-in time needed and they performed at the highest level; sturdy, plenty of grip and support, and cleaned up easily. Endured rain, mud, cow and sheep trails, rocks, a construction site, and still looked good enough (after spraying down and wiping off the big chunks) to wear with khakis into town. I highly recommend these shoes!

Great sturdy shoe for someone who walks a lot and is on their feet a lot. Love that it is a low cut waterproof shoe.

Almost wide enuf. This is the widest wide-width in all of the rugged style shoes that I have tried. Still a bit snug, but have loosened a bit with wearing. I wish they came in an extra wide. These are quite warm tho. I still wear sneakers in warm weather unless it's wet.

8.5 Wide - Best fit for Wide. I tried on: Merrell Moab waterproof and the GoreTex models... less room on the inside of the shoe. I tried the Northface Storm and Hedgehog both had narrow soles.

Great shoes! Bought the wider version and fit perfect. It's so comfy that wore at work as well as walking on the woods.

Fits great! Looks great! Extremely comfortable. Good all-in-one shoe for travel - day hikes, jogging, walking around a city, and even eating in a nice restaurant.

This is a comfortable shoe with good support. The shoes were initially tight when first worn but stretched with use. Shoes are well made. The sole provides solid traction on hiking trails.

Great shoes for those who walk a lot. True to size. I have flat feet these Merrells with a good arch support have been great.

NIce shoe. Fits well, sturdy, and comfortable. I'm wearing it every day with tactical pants and they look good together. Recommended highly, already planning to buy another pair when these wear out in a couple of years.

Better than expected, and my expectations from Zappos are pretty high. Excellent shoe; fits well; comfortable to wear for prolonged periods; can be worn in the office without looking like a work shoe. As always, delivery was prompt, and the no-hassle return policy is most appreciated. Reasonable price for the quality, and customer reviews were most helpful. I continue to be a very satisfied Zappos customer.

I got these right before a trip to Europe and they were comfortable and supportive right out of the gate. The only issue that I have with them is they are not very breathable so my feet get very sweaty in these.

These shoes are great. They felt comfortable right away, no break in period. I have really wide feet and these fit perfect. Very happy with purchase.

I usually take an 8 1/2 wide. These shoes were both a little small for me and a little narrower than expected. If you are in between sizes (e.g. between an 8 1/2 and a 9) -- I would suggest ordering the larger size. However, the shoe appears to be both very well made and durable.

These shoes were comfortable out of the box and will only become more so as the loosen up. These have more of an "urban hiker" look than the equivalent New Balance models I normally buy. By that I mean you could more easily wear the Merrell's in a business casual environment. I would buy them again.

These shoes are just what I wanted a sneaker that is a boot. They are lightweight and have great traction. They look great as well IMO! Got size 12 wide, very comfy after a few days of breaking in like any leather product. Love that they are waterproof it is a must. Not one bad thing to say, will def buy the same pair again when the time comes.

A very good shoe. Durable, comfortable, and versatile in style. Besides the hiking-themed shoe lace which you can always change, this shoe passes for restaurant wear, business casual, or totally informal. Haven't hiked in it yet, but i'm more than confident it would hold up for a couple seasons.

They're pretty great for the tail end of the New York City winter where it's not quite cold enough to snow, but it's still wet. Fit my wide feet perfectly. The true test comes next month when I go hiking in Iceland...
