I bought these for my 17 year old nephew. He loves his classic slip-ons in black (neutral color which goes with just about everything)!

My son loves these classic Vans. They run narrow however, and I had to exchange twice. Zappos is easy to work with; shipping is phenomenally quick and overall a great experience. Zappos is the only way to go. And Vans, well, Vans are Classic. Diane from AZ

Shoes are great, but they ran a bit big, so I had to return them for a 1/2 size smaller.

I bought these shoes for my brother. He loved them. He said they were really comfortable and casual. And I'd like to rave about Zappos' great service as always. I didn't need to get these shoes fast, so I chose 4-5 days shipping. But they upgraded my order to 1-day shipping anyway. :) Thanks!

My shoe size is usually between 8.5 and 9 depending on the shoe. I bought the 8.5 based on some previous Vans I've owned. At first I though they felt just a little tight, but after about a week they stretched very nicely and are now quite comfortable. During that first week I did have some minor irritation/blistering on my achilles tendons and the outsides of my pinky toes, but that goes away once they're broken in. I love the style and pattern. The size is right! The shoes are super comfortable. Great bed in sole for a flat bottom sole. My son gets many compliments on them!

True to size but a man's 5.5 is actually a woman's 7.5 not a 7 so order by man's size (2 sizes smaller than woman's).

Fun with jeans. I usually wear a size 10 but the size 10 in these felt small. The 11 was better.

When you want to rock the checkerboard pattern but not overstate it, then these are the shoes for you. Glossy black on black hints at its black and white predecessor with a wink and a smile.

I had been interested in a Vans slip on for some time before I made this purchase. I had owned 3 other Vans shoes, each with its own shortcomings. It's mostly related to the hardness of the soles. To my delight, though, these shoes are extremely comfortable and easy to wear. I have wide feet, but these shoes can accommodate me well. One minor note: I would recommend purchasing very low cut socks to wear with these (unless you're going for the California skater look, in which case you'll want very tall socks).

These shows last 4 times as long as the bargain brands. I like them and so does my son.

Just like when I was 15 (1984) - although these are much more conservative, navy blue and black checkers. They are great. Zappos sends them out fast, too.

A great shoe but then of course it's Vans and all Vans are great. Thought it was just a black checker board but really it's a lot more than that and could be considered a somewhat fancy classic slip-on. The shoe has a nice light shine to it which makes it really different and cool. It's a total must have for all Vans lovers.

I've owned a pair of these for a couple years maybe, and they're the best shoes I've ever had. I used to love Chuck Taylors, but found that they wear out and tear too quickly. I tried a pair of slip-ons, and they work just great. I did have an issue with the heel at first, but I'm told a great way to break it in is to put them in a plastic bag and run them over with a car a few times. They look great, are easy to put on, and feel as comfortable as your favorite t-shirt. Highly recommended!

I had been looking forever for casual black shoes that I could wear with skinny jeans when I finally came across these. I wanted shoes that I could wear with socks, which is just sadly not the case with most of the cute flats made specifically for women. I was still uncertain about these when I ordered them, because I thought they might look too manly, but they actually look great! I can wear them with almost anything, and they look ever so slightly more grown-up than Chuck Taylors. And they're sooo comfortable.

I purchased these for my son. He loves the style and has purchased others in different colors. He wasn't as happy with this color - felt it was too bright - but kept them. Nice company to work with and quick shipping too.

These shoes run half a size smaller than my normal shoe size. They are very comfortable, light and durable. Very stylish shoes. Great price for a great shoe. I would definitely recommend this shoe to others.

My son has bony heels and a high arch. Vans are flat but so cushy they work for him. My son refuses to wear a shoe that doesn't give him plenty of wiggle room, Vans will stretch out so they work great for kids who like a lot of room in their shoes. They wear out quickly though.

I love slip ons and these are great because they go with pretty much anything. They are white though so be prepared because they will get dingy fast. Just adds to their character.

Very comfortable. They run slightly large. I had to return and get a smaller size (but Zappos made it ridiculously easy).
