My feet are, to put it bluntly, a mess. I have bunions and a hammertoe and arthritis and, well, it just isn't easy to find comfortable shoes. I tried on a ton of boots before I hit on these Born. They are stylish and comfortable -- most importantly, with a wide enough toe box. They look great with skinny jeans, leggings and skirts. I wish the heel was a bit higher, but it's high enough to look good and low enough to remain a great walking boot.

I would have ordered these from Zappos, but they weren't carrying this model yet. These are fantastic and comfortable boots. On the first wearing spent all day running around at a convention. My feet felt great, no blisters. These boots look great with skirts, dresses, skinny jeans. I bought the Cognac. A beautiful deep, burnished color, easy to keep fresh looking with a bit of polish and a brush. Wish I had the black suede, too. I love Born shoes! They are the best value for the quality in materials and construction. It's almost impossible to wear them out. If this is your first pair, order half a size up to give your toes some wiggle room as the insoles have a little more padding than other brands.

I ordered these and the Clarks Mariella Busbys at the same time. Both are great looking boots but the leather in the Born Landa is so, so soft and the boot so comfortable that it only took one try-on to know the Clarks were going back and the Born Landa was for me! I have worn them every day since. They are the most comfortable boots that I have ever had on my feet. I highly recommend them!

I like these! After reading a lot of reviews I got a half size larger, which was not strictly necessary in the end, but gives room to wear thicker socks when needed and also my feet are wide, so I'm glad. They are not deep winter boots. I like the double zippers. Comfortable from day one. Some of my pants are a little short, so this slightly taller boot works for me.

Very cute boots, great quality and very comfortable. You can't go wrong with Born. They look good with jeans, and even with a casual dress and tights.

I am amazed at how wonderful these shoes are! So comfortable! My toes have lots of room. True to size. I bought them to wear to work and they are perfect. I highly recommend!

Typical Born shoe. Feels wonderful. Born is the best shoes for those who need more walking support than the average shoe provides. I love it!

Excellent boot! This was a splurge item and I have no regrets...I've worn them straight out of the box for the past 7 days. They are the most comfortable boot I've ever owned. My right foot is a bit bigger than the left with a sizable bunion, so am thrilled these fit so great!

I love these boots. I had been looking for ankle boots for years that looked cute with skinny jeans and were also comfortable, and these were the best I found. Very pleased.

In agreement with the other reviewers these are very comfortable shoes straight out of the box. They are sleek in construction but I would still wear them mostly with casual pants or denim. I can walk in them all day over rough ground and they hold up well. The construction is sturdy too. I expect to enjoy these shoes for many years.

Beautiful classic boot. Great comfort. I love the lower heel. I agree with other reviewers about the sizing. I normally wear a 10 but in Born I wear a 9 1/2. However, for this boot you should order your Normal size. I ordered the size 10 and it fit perfectly. Outstanding quality and comfort. Born boots are perfect for people with wide feet or bunions.

I ordered these boots last night and they came this afternoon. I commend Zappos for their super fast delivery and great customer service. I am very happy with my purchase. The soft leather makes the boots very comfortable and the heel height is perfect; enough to give me a little more height but not so high that they are uncomfortable. I often have swollen ankles but they zip without pinching. That is usually not the case. I highly recommend this product.

I love the look of these shoes! But I can't seem to get the size right, 9 is too loose and the 8 1/2 felt too tight in the toes. I have a narrow foot and they felt fine across the width. Zappos is great for letting me try different sizes.

I bought this boot to replace a pair from Dansko that I had for about 13 years. I had close-to-impossible expectations, and this pair is pretty darn good. I ordered 8.5 first (my usual size) and it felt snug with just tights on, especially at the widest part of the foot (which on me is fairly wide). I went up to 9 and it's much more comfortable, especially with socks. Heel is a good height for walking. I've never been able to pull off the ankle-boot-with-tights-and-a-skirt look, but I think I might be able to with these.

Very comfortable bootie. Some ankle boots cut in uncomfortably at the ankle or are too snug to wear with tights. These are a bit taller and looser so are attractive with leggings or a skirt or jeans. Leather is soft and heel height and sole are good for walking. Taking them on a two week trip where I will be on my feet quite a bit so hopefully they will remain as comfy as they did out of the box. Wore Born boots almost exclusively last winter and they were always comfortable and attractive. Good quality for the price.

I love these boots! I had originally ordered them from the Born website since Zappos wasn't stocking them yet and I need them for a trip. As Born usually runs big for me, I ordered the 8.5 even though I'm more of a 9. The 8.5 was really snug, more like an 8 ~ so just in time, Zappos got them in and I was able to order them in a 9. Perfect! Gorgeous shape, oh so comfortable, lovely leather, beautiful workmanship and very elegant. The footbed is divine. Born boots are the best!

The soles of these boots are amazingly comfortable, I could walk for ages in them and not even feel like there was a heel. They ran true to size, with a tiny bit of room to spare, which made them also comfortable with socks. But in contrast, the shaft was a bit uncomfortable - it was wider than expected and chafed my calves when I walked, though long socks helped. Still, these boots did not look good with any of the tight pants I tried with them - they need a boot cropped ankle pant. Regardless, I'm sending these back based on style. On me (I'm petite) they just look clumpy and inelegant. It's strange because in the photograph they look slimmer (both toe and shaft) than they actually are. I tried the cognac, maybe the black looks more sleek. Wish they looked as good as they felt.
