I'm not sure how anyone could say these are not warm? These by far are the warmest boots I have owned. I have tried many other manufacturers in my lifetime, including LL Bean, these are by far the warmest. Currently going through some -20 (-40 wind chill) days in Michigan. With just light socks on my feet they are still toasty. I have not tried out the "waterproof" part yet (other than walking in deep snow), but don't intend to use them for wadding in water. I normally wear a 9 - 9 1/2, bought 10's and they fit fine with light to medium socks.
I definitely would recommend for the cold climate states!

The length and width of this boot is good but they don't tighten that well. I feel like if I step in some mud or something I'm going to step right out of them.

Feel a bit large but end up working fine. They’re hard to tighten, probably because the elastic drawstring really doesn’t pull them right around the feet. It actually doesn’t seem to do much and broke on both boots on first 3-4 wears. I think this will work better with real laces, but can’t give it great ratings as is. Definitely warm and keep your feet dry. Compliments on appearance. Easy enough to pull feet out without bringing the liner out, which is a problem on my other pair of Sorels.
I’m going to ask for an exchange or new laces to fix them, but I expect an exchange would definitely have the same problem. I can’t figure out why they sold laces like this.

I bought them as a "suggested request" Christmas gift for a tall son who lives in Alaska. I'm short and live in the south. He loves them! I have never worn them.

They are extremely comfortable. I bought a half size larger for my son because he wanted to wear heavy sox with them. He loves the boots!

Bought these for my husband. He loves them. He barely got to wear them before he broke his knee on the mountain but they were great before then. He loved them overall. He said they were true to size and comfortable overall. Great for ski biking!

Purchased this boot as a gift for my adult son that spends many hours on the ice fishing in the winter. He liked them so much that I bought a second pair this year for my husband to replace his Sorels that are now 15 years old.

This boot is warm and is insulated. It's been great for posthole-ing through the snow drifts on family property to feed horses and to hike up a few ravines for a better view of the river below. Next will be using them for snowmobiling.

Super warm and dry. Yet, way too small; especially with wool socks! Order full size larger than your norm.

I'm a 10.5 in most shoes. The 11 was too large and the 10 was on the slugger side.
The part that bugs me those most is the design. The pull string design sounds good but it doesn't provide any support. The boot has no support and it looks like you could easily twist an ankle. The get it tight around your foot, you need to pull the string way out, but than you have like 10 inches of cord laying out to trip on.

I was very disappointed with these boots and ultimately bought Sorel Conquest, which are fantastic. The rubber the boot is made of particularly in the toe box is very soft and flimsy, look out toes! Compared to the Conquest in the same size the Alpha Pac XT is much more bulky. I would not recommend buying these boots. If you want bulky, warmth and comfort with no real foot protection, these are for you.
