Reviews said this boot runs a size small. So, I ordered a pair in 8 and in 9. I normally wear 7 1/2 but I was concerned about thick boot socks etc... I also have put on weight and my legs are like tree trunks (the horror of trying on boots in a store and not being able to zip them up all the way!). In any case, the boots came today and I tried the 8's on first. There's a thermal(?) insert in the shaft and with that my tree trunk legs JUST fit. Around my foot the shoe feels very roomy, like... Too big but also wide... I thought about layering socks and remembered I am wearing my big thick socks. I do like boots, and how they look-- I wasn't sure about them because they're all white. The sole is noticeably heavy, which I think probably will help on the ice. I will keep the 8's but I'm returning the 9's and I ordered a pair of 7's just to try and compare. I'm thinking the foot part will feel much better but my legs might just be too fat for the 7's.

I generally wear a size 7 or 7.5 shoe. But due to my enormous calves, I ordered these in an 8. I couldn't get my foot in them. I just packaged them up and shipped them back for the 9s. I hope the 9s work. These boots seem very legit...I would call these boots hard core...they are heavy and bulky but that's what you need when you live in the city of Boston in the winter. I hope the 9s aren't too big!

Purchased based on reviews and previous experience with the Sorel brand. I have issues with both feet and 1 ankle. Pros: like the height, weight and material. Cons: the reflective material in the boot was not attached and so each time I tried to get one foot in it would bunch up and make it impossible, seemed to be an issue with what would be the tongue base as if not sewn correctly. And the reflective material is noisy when walking. Returning.

This really urks me. I wanted to order a 9, but ZAPS pops up an alert telling me no, you need an 8. so I order the 8 and they are TOO SMALL. Com on Zaps, don't tell people what size to order. Now I'm days behind and you lost out on the shipping fees. I'm also no happy that it came in Amazon shipping wraps. I did not order from Amazon and I do not like to order from them. I wanted to order from Zaps.

These boots seem very sturdy, which also makes them feel clunky. However, the special lining makes them seem super warm, although I will not get a chance to try out their effectiveness in cold weather. I wish I could order a 9.5! Even though I'm normally a 10, these boots are huge on me, even with my thickest socks.

I'm 5'-6", 145lbs I wear a U.S. size 8, after reading some of the reviews I decided to purchase a size up. I found the size 9 to be too big for me, even with the lace pulled as tight as I can, my foot slid up and down as I walked. This is a bulky boot good for heavy snow it is very spacious, a bit too wide for me but it would probably keep those toes toasty warm. I did like the height of the boot, the fit around the calf was good, not tight. just wish the fit in the foot and heel area were better. I will be returning this pair of boots. Maybe I'll try my true size 8....maybe.

I ordered a size 12. Unfortunately, with the removable felt insert inside the boot, it was too small. When I removed the insert, the boot was too large. A size 12.5 would have fit nicely with the insert. But 12.5 was not an option. Therefore, I returned the boot.

Returning them. They are not easy to get on and too high.

The liner is a thick felt but it us not attached to the outer thin nylon fabric of boot, so slipping them on is impossible, even sitting down and pulling onto foot is difficult. Wanted to love but returned due to poor design.
