The Ascender Softshell Jacket is perfect! Just what I was looking for. I would say it fits slightly on the bigger side of normal. I wear XL t-shirts, have an XL Columbia fleece jacket, but ordered a L in this jacket and like it's fit better than the XL fleece. Very nice jacket, looks great. Overall very satisfied with my purchase.

Well made and well thought out design. Very comfortable and durable. Haven't seen the rain yet, but a good spring fall temp jacket.

I've always liked Columbia soft shell jackets. This is the 5th one I've owned. The only reason it's the 5th one I've owned is because the other ones got stolen by someone I know or they got left somewhere. Shipping was less than favorable. It took nearly 2 weeks to get it.

I bought this jacket 3-5 years ago and it turned into my favorite jacket.

The jacket is super comfortable, and the lining is really soft. My only complaint is that I had ordered another jacket previously in large which was really too big, so I figured I would order this one in a medium hoping it would fit just right. It's a little snug around the shoulders and chest but otherwise I really like it.

Was looking for mid weight jacket for 50 to 60 degree days. This is perfect. True to size. Comfortable.

Runs small had to return medium and reorder a large.

If you're tall and or have long arms size up. I did not check to see if they run a tall sizing or not but sizing up worked for us

I purchased this jacket about 10 years ago and I liked it so much I bought another one.

I'd been trying to find a lightweight Jacket to match one that had worn through the elbow and was fraying at the sleeves. Being in Southern California I only needed it for early morning dog walks and such. This fit the bill perfectly.

Softshell that is warm as a winter coat. The inner lining is fairly thick & the exterior seems to be a durable, water resistant quality material. I'm replacing a 10 year old Columbia that had the internal thermo material which I loved. The new one is warmer with no need for layering.

Wry comfortable, breaths well and looks nice. These do not have interior pockets. They would be helpful.
