This jacket runs true to size. The Columbia Ascender is expertly fashioned and is the highest quality. It feels like a glove that wraps around you, but sturdy and provides the sense of security that you need from a jacket.

Excellent jacket! Flexible/comfortable material that is still super tough with quality throughout the entire jacket. Breaks the wind well and repels liquid. Everyone asks where I got it from and can't believe the sale price...pound for pound the best value you will find on a softshell jacket..can't be beat!

I live in upstate NY and this jacket is adaptable to all of the ever changing conditions in the winter.

I love the quality of this jacket! It fits true to size and the pockets on the side are very useful. It has a nice warm fleece on the inside. I have received a lot of compliments and what the name of the jacket was.

My husband had a older version of this jacket and loved it. With this newer model, he equally loves the jacket and bought two different colors! It is a great extra warm layer for cold, wind and rain.

Purchased these jackets to embroider for my state Young Farmers committee. They look great!!!

This jacket is very comfortable and sized correctly. My only complaint is the color was more an aqua color then a blue like shown on the website. But it was comfortable ylthat I kept it anyway.

The jacket is as described by Columbia, it fits me well and is very high quality. The jacket is perfect for a North Carolina Winter, but would be too light for other areas with real cold weather. That being said, I feel that you could wear the jacket with a few layers and make it much warmer. The jacket is very comfortable, light weight, wind and water resistant. It has become my favorite to wear for most any situation.

I usually buy North Face or Columbia, but Columbia has surpassed the "other" in my mind as of late to be sure. This jacket is no different. It is excellent. I love the quality and the warmth. It is a wonderful windbreaker and a good purchase if you are looking for an everyday fall/winter/spring jacket (I live in KY). The only "oops" is that I originally bought a large. Upon receipt, the large was entirely too small through the shoulders. It was fine everywhere else, but I had to order an XL. I wear a large in everything else with Columbia but this jacket.

I bought this as a gift for my fianc. I was uncertain on what size to get because he is a tall and buff guy but I just followed the size chart and the jacket came in and fit perfectly. It is true to size as he normally wears a 2XL. Well worth it to buy. He loves it and it is really nice quality. He says it is super warm. This is his nice jacket as he has an older one that he wears to work in. I am very pleased and would highly recommend.

Very sharp jacket! My son gets compliments on it all the time. Bought my husband one in Collegiate Navy, and though both are great, the one my son has in Graphite is more attractive. Definitely recommend this item.

This softshell checks all the features i was looking for. I bough this product looking at the large number of reviews on another site and it lives upto the expectations. Some key features which i did not find on bigger name brand product priced twice or thrice than this one are: 1) Adjustable hand cuffs 2) Drawcord adjustable hem 3) soft and smooth fleece like lining inside The first two are most important for me as the primary function of this jacket is a windbreaker and i would not like cold wind going inside from the bottom of the jacket or the side arms; this creates a good seal. *** IMPORTANT *** I tried the medium and Large size. (All columbia and other brand jackets fit medium works perfect for me) The medium felt something wrong on the underarms, it was little tight and uncomfortable and i ended up exchanging for a Large one which fitted me well and little roomy if needed.

This jacket is amazing. The color is great and the fit is perfect. Its a roomy jacket that allows freedom of movement. The price for this jacket is very reasonable and well worth it. I do own other name brand jackets but Columbia is always my go-to.

The jacket is super comfortable and fits awesome. Its fit is slim and keeps you warm. Also the waterproof effect makes it more awesome and convenient for rainy days.

I bought one of these jackets for myself as well as gifts for friends and they all LOVE them! I know I love mine! it is very tough and rugged which is perfect for my professions when you may never know what you may be doing.
