I really liked the idea of these boots, but unfortunately the opening of the shaft of the boot was much too large. I would suggest sizing a 1/2 size down. They were just too clunky for what I was looking for.

Found the top of the boot (by my ankles) much too wide for me. Otherwise, a very cute boot but had to return.

I loved the look of these on-line and in person; however, I couldn't get my foot in the boot. My foot just would not bend to get past the bend in the boot so these will sadly be going back. A zipper might have been helpful.

Although these boots were just as stylish in person as they seemed online, it became immediately obvious upon putting them on that they are in fact rainboots and not snow boots as they are categorized. They have heavy, stiff soles (like rainboots), little or no insulation, and no arch support. I bought them to go walking in the woods in the winter with my pup but I can see these only being good for getting around town on a rainy day instead. Back they go!

I bought these in the 8.5 which were to big. Got the size 8's and then noticed the left foot is looser than the right! Upon closer inspection noticed a huge difference in the quality of the suede. One boot is darker than the other and thinner around the ankle. I would say a quality control issue with Sorel. I don't mind a slightly different color but it should not affect the entire sizing of the boot. May try one more time with a size 8 if they both fit like the right foot did. If you buy these take a close look at the fit and quality of both boots.

I really liked them at first but after 1 season in the snow, they started falling apart. The seal around the toe let water in and the wood on the heel started peeling off.

At first I was in love with these boots. I purchased the grey version with the grey/white wool back panel. They are very cute and are comfortable, but they do not live up to the standards of other Sorel boots I have previously purchased. The first pair of these I ordered I needed to send back because the rubber toe started to pull away from the leather after one week of wearing them. The replacement pair started to do the same after 2 weeks of wear. The leather is not waterproof and your feet will get soaked when wearing these in the rain. Also, the leather seems to be very thin and they distort after usage. For the price of these boots, they should last for 3 seasons and I only think I will be getting 1 season out of them. I would have returned them if I knew they were not as high quality as other Sorel boots.

I had to go down 1/2 size and that never happens! The heel is slanted and caused me to constantly slide forward so that my toes got bunched up. LOVE the look but the feel was wrong.

Don't waste your time. have several pair of Sorel with no problems but I can't even get my foot 1/2 way into the boot and I don't have a wide foot. I saw the same in a few reviews but decided to try anyway..all excited for nothing. They arrived 10 min ago and and are going right back.

I love this boot style and look. Unfortunately, Sorel doesn't listen to the reviews it gets from customers... Almost everyone says the same thing "the boot is difficult to get on" If a boot is difficult to get on, chances are it will not be the "go to boot". It needs a zipper or pull on handles. Booth would be nice. I love sorel and wanted to keep these boots, but my foot doesn't bend. Please listen to you customers Sorel.

I am surprised to read that other buyers say that their boots are waterproof. I have been greatly disappointed. I walked 10 blocks in the rain and my socks were wet. The brown suede over the foot (quarry/fossil style) is not waterproof in my pair. I am not talking about the fabric by the calf, but the entire shoe except the sole. I had worn them a couple of times in the cold and they were comfortable enough so I threw out my boxes before this experience, so I will not be returning. I guess that I will buy some suede waterproofer and see if I can salvage them.

Oh, I wanted to love this boot! I did love it, ordered it, but due to the way the boot is cut in the back I could not get my foot in. It definitely needs a zipper or something. Very cute boot, I am so disappointed.

Impossible to get on!!! No side zip. The back of heel is curved in too much and leaves no room to slide foot in. I wish that the other reviewers who were unable to get their foot in hadn't rated the boot high just because it was cute. I didn't bother reading the reviews because they were all highly rated. What good is a cute shoe that you can't even put on! I honestly don't see how anybody can get this boot on unless you size way up or have feet made of rubber. Also, these boots came to me with a stain on them and looked like they had been worn.
