I was very impressed!! Very good knock around camp shoes, sandshore/rockshore coastlines are a breeze and they keep sand out well and drain efficiently. With a thicker sole and bottom these shoes could be perfect for a mission in the MN Boundary Waters. Overall great shoe!!!

For surfing, buy these a half to full size small. They blow out a bit. For less active sports, order the correct size. Me:I typically wear a size 10 shoe but I also own O'Neill's Heat 3mm high top boots in a 10 and while they fit well initially, they quickly became too big after surfing a winter in them. I ordered these Superfreak Tropicals in a 9 and while the big toe is slightly tight, they are a much better fit and aren't blowing out. The short of it... Take advantage of Zappos return policy and order two sizes. If you surf, pick the tightest you can.

After buying a size 12 (my most poplular size); it was too small. With great Customer Service, I quickly received a size larger (size 13), and it is a perfect fit. I appreciate the quick response to Zappos Customer Service Team which a valuable asset to their company.

I was concerned these might run large, but they seem to really be sized correctly for bare feet, perhaps even a bit smaller than expected. They certainly weren't larger than normal, though I've only worn them once and they may stretch a bit over time. Otherwise, very comfortable and functional as a shoe for water activities.

After ordering a size 12, this was too small. After briefly talking with a great Customer Service Rep, the issue was completely resolved. I am completely satisfied with the great Customer Service (a valuable asset to Zappos) with their care and concern for the customers. A very smooth and fast transaction with no wasted time. Great service! You can't go wrong with Zappos.

Fits like a glove. I am usually a 8-8.5, this fits snug.

Runs 1/2 size small. Will have to keep my big toenails trimmed. Should be looser when wet.

Great again! I owned the previous version of this great water shoe. I like these for walking in sand, coral, rocks prior to getting out on the water. The slightly higher (imagine crosstrainer height) prevents sands from ruining your feet. The fit is the same as previous. I typically wear 9.5 or 10 and ordered the 9 and it fits like a little rubber soled neoprene glove. I like the split toe over the round toe, but everyone might not.

These should work fine for me for warm weather kayaking and SUP paddling when I have to cross over gravel beaches. I like the split toe - I feel more balanced and in contact with the SUP board. I have not yet gotten them wet, so I am not sure if they will loosen, but there is a strap and rear snugger that should do the trick.

The shoes are actually very comfortable. The material feels nice and does not make my feet sweaty. The size was a little smaller than it should have been, and because of the two toe design, started cutting off circulation to my toes after some time. So make sure the size is right. They may be good sand or surfing shoe, but the sole is very thin and will not be good for any real walking or even a rocky beach. No arch support.

The O'Neill Superfreak Tropical ST Boot was definitely was at least 1/2 to one full size small for my mens size 11 foot. Reordered size 12 since no half sizes listed. Other than size issue they looked great.

I really wanted these to fit, mostly because the price is great compared to the other options. However, if you have a square foot you will have a hard time getting your outside toes into the space provided. These are shaped like a ladies slipper and they assume that every toe is progressively shorter than the last. They are well built, so if you have a very sloped foot, they may be great.
