Ruffwear is a great brand for dog products! I love this rain jacket for our little beagle mix. Works wonderfully!

Our pup is a 40-lb mixed breed dog with a pretty deep chest. I measured her and ordered the XS after checking the Ruffwear sizing chart. It fits perfectly and covers her from neck to the base of her tail. I especially like how much coverage there is on her chest because it keeps her cleaner when she goes into the grass. We used it last week when we had rain 5 days in a row and it worked like a charm!

Great dog raincoat! It's lightweight so just for rain protection - not warmth. The Ruffware size chart was accurate. My dog really doesn't seem to mind wearing it and it keeps him dry when we walk in the rain!

The best! Must have if you live in the PNW and don't want to smell soggy dog every day. Fit and function are fantastic, and it looks great too! My dog hates it, but he just has no idea how good he has it.

This is the best rain coat. It is a little pricey but it does not tilt to the side like all the other ones. My 64 pound German Shepherd was in in between sizes according to the Ruffwear's website. Thanks to Zappos I ordered medium and large and opted for the large one because of the length. It is not too hard to put on. Maybe a little harder than the cheaper ones, but at least it stays in place!

I have this jacket for one of my larger dogs, she wears it a lot because it rains a lot in SE Alaska. Recently purchased this jacket for my smallest dog, a little Papillion who when she gets wet is much like a wet Q Tip. Was not sure she would wear this but really wanted to keep she a little bit less wet on our daily walks. She has no objections to wearing this coat and it does keep the main part of her body dry. The measurements are very true to size & she looks really sharp in the dusty purple coat that is very well made.

First of all, the rain coat that we received from Zappos did not come with the original manufacture tags. It makes you wonder if they are re-selling USED items on this website. Maybe it was a customer return, but for Pete's sake slap on those tags so people think it's NEW. I did call customer service, they apologized but nothing else. I complain at In-n-out and they go the extra mile to make it right, I even get a Christmas Card from them each year. Take note Zappos! Now, for the actual item: So you know, it is super thin material and has no lining. I hope it holds up well (i.e., repels water on the outside and does not soak into their coats like those cheap products that are sold at big-box pet stores) in actual rain. I will keep my fingers cross. The way the rain coat is designed it leaves a big area of the underside (chest, tummy, and practically the entire legs) exposed to the elements and potential silt from the ground. This is not a good thing especially if you have long-haired doggies like me, Ugh! But we will see what happens when it actually rains again in Southern California.

The jacket seems decent quality, but the buckles feel a little flimsy. I was disappointed that there isn’t an opening in the back to attach the leash to my dog’s harness, but I’m hoping there is some way to make it work because collars don’t work well on my hound. My dog was at the very low end of the medium and the very high end of the small, and I ordered the medium. It fits how I would imagine it should fit, if not the tiniest bit too long.

We have two of these, one for each of our dogs. They both seem to like them, and the jacket doesn't hinder their walking, running or playing. Plus, it does a good job keeping their backs and necks dry, which is a plus when it's really raining. Good jacket. We like the Ruffwear brand and use their harnesses and heavier jackets for snow as well. This rain jacket we got because the heavier jacket would get too wet in the rain, and would get stinky after a while. This rain jacket works great for wet days!

Maybe okay once your dog is full grown, or if you don't have a particularly fussy dog. I bought this for my 10 week old puppy who doesn't like the rain but still needs to be walked. The problem is that this has to go over the head-if the manufacturer would make it so that it did not have to go over the dog's head this would be perfect. It's light weight, well made, and unlined. Although a little expensive (it's more than double the cost of the winter coat my full grown dog wears!) I was willing to try it. Just be cautious knowing that you'll have to drag this over your dog's head every time you want to put it on- or take it off.

I really like this jacket. It is well made and easy to put on. The only problem I encountered is that my dog fits the measurements (found of the ruffwear website) for an XXS, which turned out to be way too small. (thank goodness for Zappos easy returns) I then ordered an XS which is a little big. I can tighten the chest part but the length is so long it either covers her tail or it folds over. Even though the jacket is a little big it is a good quality product, that keeps my dog mostly dry, and I am happy with my purchase.

Followed sizing chart, and double checked everything at Ruffwear site. Ordered this jacket in small and a Ruffwear sweater in small. The sweater fits perfect, but the jacket is too small. Tried a medium, and it was HUGE!

Terrible sizing options. I ordered an xs based on Ruffwear website sizes and it was huge on my JRT. Covered his whole weenie and hanged about 2" past his back. Went a size down to xxs and it barely fits him. No more room to adjust the straps any bigger, and about 2" too short on the back. I wish I could post a picture of the difference in size between xxs and xs, because it seems like the equivalent of going from small to large. The other thing missing design wise, is a hole on top, so that a harness could be worn underneath. If the dog wears a collar, and the size fits, then it's a great coat.
