For decades, I have had difficulty finding sunglasses that do not fog up during activity and are not right up against my eyelashes. I did not know what to make of the Asian fit, but I did note that the nose bridge was built up, so I gave them a try. I am pleased to report that they come as advertised. They are perhaps a bit wider than the normal sunglasses, but I do not feel in a noticeable way. The nose bridge is built up, which keeps the lenses away from my eyelashes and significantly cuts down on the fogging during activity.

I have 4 pairs of sunglasses never disappoint about overal quality and designs and light weight and now first of my reading glasses combined with sunglasses and still excellent quality but the reading section is too small for me. suggestion if can make full length along bottom part of lens will be nicer.

These are perfect for those times when a little help reading is required. Can't even notice magnification lens until I need them. Maui Jim staff is always helpful and make things easy, the best!

I have two pair. Love them. I was in Maui this summer and visited in Lahaina.

I sent my glasses in for repair and they couldn't be fixed as they were to old( no parts ).....so I got a 50% coupon that allowed me to oder a brand new pair better than the old ones....the new ones are biphocal.

For those of us "of a certain age", these "excellent for your eyes" sunglasses are the BOMB 'cause they have built in "cheater lenses"! BRILLIANT! No switching glasses to read the phone, price tags, size labels, plant information labels at the nursery, menus on restaurant patio tables, etc. Yes, they are a bit expensive and you want to treat them with care; but well worth it. I'm buying my 2nd pair because the 1st pair were stolen - I tried some cheater sunglasses from a national woman's wear store, but the quality just isn't the same. I live in the desert - in the sun 360 days of the year. I hope the thief enjoys them as much as I did!!!

Bought these a month ago and wear them daily. Love the reader feature no need to swap classes. Great for driving and reading a map or book by the pool!!

I purchased these 5 years ago and I love the bifocal reading feature which works well for me since my job requires me to be out and about and I can read documents and write reports without putting on my reading glasses to read something. These glasses are durable and flexible and the clarity is outstanding. Alas though the lens has cracked after many years of daily use and I am in the market for new ones again.

I just purchased my 4th pair of these Sun Readers from Maui Jim. There are great for active outdoors near the water ( fishing, yaking, boarding, surfing ), and are EXCELLENT for using GPS / phone screens. ( Gray lenses wash out completely for me - bronze is much better for electronic displays ). There are also great for driving, contrast is good from sun to shade brown-outs and partial sun-shade roads. I'm still using the 1.5x reader, and it's nice to know I can bump to more magnification if I need it later.

I have been wearing these glasses for several years and am in the process of ordering another pair. They are readers which are great because my distance vision is fine - just need "readers"! They fit perfectly and are of the very highest quality.

I recently had LASIK surgery and lost a little of my near vision increasing my need for readers. These glasses are wonderful. I have been wearing Maui Jims for a long time and become a big fan of the quality. These are no exception. The transition took about a week to get used to, but now I can't be without them!

I've had two pairs of the Ho'okipa in just the sunglasses and "love" them and the great fit. I also have three other pairs of Maui Jim sunglasses and am 100% satisfied. My problem, I ordered the readers but sent them back because of the very small bifocal (not in any information in descriptions) made it very difficult to read and seemed fuzzy, I even took then to an optometrist who put them on a apparatus that confirmed they were the right reader power number and said the small bifocal was my problem. Tried them for a day and was totally dissatisfied, and returned them. So my other option is to get the prescription pair from a optometrist at an inflated price, but first ask if they will be a full lenses or bifocal when I purchase them. The rating I give only applies to this one item the reader version, I love all the other Maui Jim products.

I purchased these expecting something like the readers I purchase the drugstore, with the entire lens magnified. Unfortunately, they're just bifocals, with only a small fraction of the lens magnified. My frustration (and poor rating) is because nowhere on the site do I see that they're bifocals, and the picture of the glasses is definitely not of the non-readers, because the bifocals are clearly visible on the readers. I will be returning them unused.
