This is actually my 2nd pair of MAKAHA READER ASIAN FIT. I lost my 1st pair in hurricane Michael. These glasses eliminate the need to have both my readers and my sunglasses. Every 40+ person needs these-expensive but worth it.

I've been wearing and loving Maui Jim sunglasses since 2005. Now that I need a little magnification to read up close... I thought I would have to switch to another brand. Nope, Turns out Maui Jim has a 1.5x reader model. There nice and small at the bottom so not to effect distance viewing. They work really great!

I bought these amazing shades about 3 weeks ago and so love them. Great investment and glad I spent the monies for the quality and good feel/look.

This is my second pair in 4 years. I'm pretty hard on my sunglasses, I'm a hard core gardener and I've dropped these, had them fall of my hat etc. That they finally broke is on me. The clarity and sharpness of the lenses are first rate. I love the readers as they allow me to read plant tags and weed without squinting. They're awesome, I will always own a pair!

This is the 2nd pair of the Makaha's I have bought. I have the HT lens on the smoke grey frame and love them. I just needed a darker lens for brighter sun. HIGHLY recommend the Makaha. I also have them in non-reader in the Tortoise with bronze lens. Yes, I'm a junkie!

These are the 5th pair I have bought. I wear them anytime I'm outside. Great for the golf course or fishing.

I have been wearing Maui Jim's for 20+ years and I find this style with the readers to be most useful for driving, rigging bait for fishing, or doing anything in the sun that requires reading glasses. This wrap around design provides full eye coverage protection regardless of the direction of the sun or the glare off the water. These sunglasses look cool and the reader portion of the lens is not noticeable. Great product; I would not leave the dock without them. My only negative is the ear piece does not curve down and it gets in the way of the hat. However, I found that you can carefully heat the arms and bend the ear piece down elimination the problem.

I have had this model for about 2 years now, and use them mostly for driving. I like the readers that are built into the lens. They are perfect for seeing the instruments on the dashboard. I don't have to move my head up to see the gauges. They are also great when you go to the pool bar and need to see the menu. The neutral lens gives good color retention, and optically, there isn't any distortion that I can notice. Since these are light weight and frameless, you need to be extra careful when storing or cleaning them. These are not good when you walk stairs or hike or any other activity where you need to occasionally look down, such as golfing. Also not good while laying on the beach, since you tend to lift your head up a bit and look through the bottom of the lens where the readers are. Also, the arms don't wrap behind your ears and tend to lift the lenses off your nose when wearing a hat or a visor. I have had a lot of different pairs of Maui Jim's over the last 3 decades, and these are at the top of my list. I also own this same frame in the Jon reader version.

I saw these and thought. Awesome, I can sit outside in the sun and read a menu at the same time. Nope. There is a tiny strip on the bottom of the glasses that is so small that even if I look down you might be able to see something but not enough.
