I needed new shoes for walking. I have Flintstone feet (wide feet with low arches). I wanted good overall support. Arch and lateral support also important. I am pleased. The width was very good. Shoe laces actually long enough! I am wearing these right now! Feet are very happy. I have been fighting off plantar fasciitis and good shoes are a must!

I bought these shoes for my 83 year old mom. She has been walking three miles four times a week. She wears a 6½W due to a bunion and these shoes fit her perfectly. She has been experiencing the most comfortable walk that she has had in years!

I want to order another pair of these shoes. They were so comfortable. I have a very wide foot and am difficult to fit properly. These fit me perfectly!

I love this shoe!! I am not a runner, however, I got this shoe in hopes of helping a janky knee. When they arrived something was off I couldn't quite put my finger on. Wore them all day, and when I took them off I still couldn't put my finger on why they just felt off... I looked inside the shoes and ONE of them had an orthodic inside. I called CS and they immediately sent another pair. Now I wear these shoes all the time. They are amazingly comfy and my knees do not ache at the end of the day. I would/will definitely order again.

I have wide feet and high arch. These are one of the few tennis that work well for me. Nice sturdy shoe. Wish they came in more colors. :)

Honestly, I purchased these sneakers based on the previous reviewer's review - and I am so glad that I did. For me, these are hands-down the best sneakers that I have ever purchased. I have never been happier with sneakers, ever, and I will probably buy another pair so that I have some waiting for me when these wear out. I am completely flat and wide footed and wear custom-made full-length athletic orthotics every day in my shoes and/or sneakers. In addition, I have fairly serious knee issues (little to no cartilage in either knee), so I absolutely need a sneaker that can provide significant cushioning as well as total stability and motion control. I participate in weight/cardio personal training several times a week and never have had a more comfortable sneaker get me through my reps. Thank you, New Balance, for helping me to get fit again!

I liked this shoe for walking because I have had good experience with NB before but never had bought on line. My local NB store always seemed to measure my foot a half size over my normal shoe size (6.5 Wide) and the shoe always felt too roomy after a short time of wearing. I did order my normal size at Zappos and after a breaking in period, the shoes are perfectly comfortable. I can wear my thicker, softer socks that I prefer. As a septuagenarian, I wanted something a bit contemporary in style and this shoe fit perfectly in that category as well.

One of the best NB I have worn. Much more comfortable than the 1540's. Fits my AFO boot well. Also has a posted heel. I will be buying a few more backup pairs of this great shoe!
I'd also recommend:
None. My prosthetist only recommends NB.

Loved the comfort and look of this shoe but they only had a wide width and that just did not work. Thankfully Zappos makes it easy to try!

If you roll your feet, this is the shoe for you. Enough room for an orthotic -- love love love it! It feels 'firm' and stable.

I needed a good tennis shoe for walking/exercise that accommodated my orthotics. These were great - love the extra toe room.

I had the first version of these after New Balance discontinued my all time best shoe ever, the 1123. I have wide, flat, deformed (bunions, hammertoes and narrow heels) and the 1123 were the only shoe I have ever worked a 12+ hour nursing shift on my feet and walked five miles afterward without ANY pain whatever. I was very very hesitant to order these, as the first version was horrible! I have tried Brooks, Asics, and went to mens shoes trying to find width and support and cushion. Brooks had no cushion. Asics were great for about two months until they started falling apart. and the men's shoes were just too big. Anyway I ordered these. I got them today. I put them on and walked awhile, HMMM....maybe....wore them to work this afternoon....WOW> then wore them to go get Chinese takeout. Well, KUDOS to New Balance! You have brought back the 1123 with lighter weight and better colors and better laces and all around improvement. I am going to order a pair in blue because, knowing how things are, these won't be around next year. New Balance, thanks!

I've been searching for a replacement for the NB1123 for awhile. After going through 10 different shoes all different brands along with NB I finally found these. Not only are they stylish and colorful, they're comfortable. I find I don't take them off very often because of the stability they offer me. I just ordered 2 more pairs because it looks like NB is getting ready to offter next year's styles and I was panicked I wouldn't be able to find a shoe to fit. I walk 4 miles a day. Not a runner. Still wish NB would bring back the 1123. Perfect shoe.

I have a wide foot with a bunion and Tailor's bunion. Purchased my 2nd pair of this shoe because I have so much trouble finding one that works. It seems to run wider than other 2E shoes.

These shoes are very comfy! I wear all shoes with Powerstep orthotics due to plantar fasciitis. In combination with the NB W1340v2, I'm able to be on my feet all day and not be in pain the next morning. Love the intense purple designs too.

I'm recovering from multiple problems in my left foot, and this extremely well-made shoe has got me back walking briskly up to three miles a day. There's plenty of room for an insole with better arch support. But I've used the super-high cushioned insole that came with the shoe in my tai chi shoes. I love the colors but wish there was a more neutral version of the shoe. All in all, it's the best New Balance shoe available and better than all other brands. And believe me, I've tried them all.

Love these shoes! No break-in needed. I took them out of the box and put them to work on the treadmill immediately. My feet and knees felt great after an hour and a half walk. Thank you New Balance and Zappos for your speedy delivery!

It is not the sneaker I thought. I never used it, until yesterday in my house for a few minutes. Didn't look good on me.

Exactly as stated in the description. Roomy toe box. Accommodates an orthotic very well. I recently had ankle ligament surgery and wanted a little less stiff shoe (I was in 1540V2) but still have the support I need. This shoe is more stylish but supportive for sure. Love it!

I took theses sneakers right out of the box and put them on my feet. My feet felt like they had slippers on. The sizing was perfect. There is a lot of support in theses sneakers. I have a lot of problems with balance because of my back. My feet felt more stable in these than any other shoes that I have. I love being able to get some color in my foot wear. I would highly recommend this pair of sneakers.

I liked the way these fit in 7WW and could not decide between them and New Balance W940V2. In the end, I went with price but you cannot go wrong with either style. I have tried many, many styles and brands and have come back to New Balance. If you have wide feet like me, try this shoe or the one mentioned in my first sentence. Skip Asics because they just are not as good for wide feet.

Right out of the box these shoes were comfortable and didn't require a break in period. EE width in cute girl colors isn't something I find all that often. These are my go to sneakers.

It's nice to find a name brand quality shoe that fits. They have large sizes and widths for everyone. I found my shoe to have plenty of room for my toes to spread out. Love them!

I got these shoes because I stand on my feet in a salon 6 days a week, over 8 hours a day on concrete floors and I needed comfort, support, and something I could walk for exercise in as well. These have been perfect. No break in time, plenty of toe room, awesome arch support, and very cushioning to my tired feet. I will order in more colors for sure! 10,000 steps a day plus with no sore feet is a perfect shoe for me.
