These shoes feel great, and that is coming from a minimalist shoe runner for the past year. I thought they would feel clunky, but they are soft, solid and I still feel fast when they are on my feet. The only downside is the width. My left foot is a bit wider than my right, and the toe box is slightly cramped. If they had a selection of widths, these would be overall winners!

Shoes are great for your knees but you need and insert and alot of socks because the color runs when you sweat. Contacted Hoka's customer service with pictures and their attitude stunk. "ship your shoes to us and if we determine it is our fault we will replace them" where do you get blue color on a pair of white athletic socks that just came out of a run in blue Hoka shoes!!
Maybe Zappos will cut $30 off the price so you can buy a dozen pair of socks. I have now had 20 runs in he shoes and still get alot of blue dye on my socks.

Unfortunately, despite all the positive reviews, they did not work for me. They are too squishy, don't support my feet, and caused a lot of pain when I walked or ran.

I have to admit that I did not run in these. At first I thought they looked great and intriguing. When I tried to stand up from the chair after lacing them, I lost my balance backwards and then they were so squishy I was lucky to recoup. Trying to remain open minded, I trotted up and down the hallway a bit, and my response was "absurd." Imagine the giant marshmallow man from "Ghostbusters" deciding to be a runner and you will get the picture. Apparently many people rave about these. I cannot imagine that anyone who is somewhat sure-footed and used to using their feet in a natural way could. I suspect running on something so thick and soft is likely to cause some unexpected consequences. Each to his or her own. Just wanted to give a perspective that may help someone else.
