I just received the pewter and fell in love with them. I went back and ordered the black and the brandy. very modern and streamlined, as another reviewer wrote. I didn't find them to be sloppy wide at all. I wear a 6 in most brands and sometimes need a wide for my bunions. these fit perfectly (6 us-37 euro) and there is just enough room to accommodate both my bunions and a sock (not a thick sock but not paper thin either). You can smell the quality of the leather and the fact that they are waterproof is a great plus. Very well made and very stylish so this is a new brand favorite for me. they look good with skinny jeans or tights tucked in and they also look good with a bootcut jean. Some short boots are too tight at the ankle and some are way too wide. these are just right to wear with either style jean/pant. Very happy Ifound these!

Love these shoes. Very nice quality and super comfortable. I need wide toe box and these were very roomy, never pinched. I also blister daily on the heels but have been able to walk 5 miles in these without any issues.

Awesome, comfortable boots. I never have good luck with boots, so didn't have high hopes for these ones. I wore them a few times in the first weeks I had them and they seemed fine, BUT then I wore them for several days of all-day walking in New York City and they never gave me a moment of discomfort. They were warm and comfortable. Only caveat: I had to wear snug knee-high socks or else the socks would creep down my lower legs and bunch on my feet. So happy with these boots.

I was pleasantly surprised when I got these. They look even better than the photos. They are very modern and have a stylish fit. They are streamlined, not clunky and extremely comfortable.

Look better in pictures. In real life I think the style is sort of ugly. The fit was wide, too. I can see they would stretch and look sloppy with time. No, thanks.

Handsome shoe! Beautiful craftsmanship, buttery soft leather, chic & original design and way comfortable! But alas, due to my bunions, I had to go a half size up, which worked for my toes but the heels were then too wide and loose, causing a lot of slippage. I tried my regular size 10 and while it fit length wise, there was some pressure on my bunions. Unfortunately, I'm sending them back. I've given 5 stars because this is a unique, stylish, comfortable and well made bootie and it's waterproof and has a low heel,which is a tricky combination to find.This boot should fit a true medium width just fine if accommodations for bunions isn't a factor. I hope Ahnu will consider continuing a line of low boots for casual and all round wear, that are not hiking boots. And don't get me wrong. I love my Ahnu hiking shoes! Looks like these boots are being discontinued since they no longer appear on their website. Enjoy 'em while you can! If they fit your foot, you've got a fine shoe.

Looking for a boot to wear every day on a long trip to European cities plus the Shetland Islands in June. Tried three different Ahnu boots - I had never had a pair, but liked what i read about the company. The Octavia fit perfectly and has the look I was going for - casual, but not clunky. I have worn them almost every day since I got them, trying to be sure there were no problem spots - haven't found any. Because the boot has very few seams, and none on the front part of the boot, it doesn't rub or pinch anywhere and the fit gave me room to put in my PowerStep insoles comfortably. I hope they will keep the water out in the Shetlands - they have been fine around here in the wintry weather. Got a size 10 - my usual boot and walking shoe size. Love them.

Very nicely made shoe, prettier than depicted in picture. Unfortunately the shoe was probably a full size too large, and had no arch support which is something I have to have in a shoe.

I love the look of this shoe and it feels great, other than the fact that the tops of my big toes hit the top of the shoe. There is plenty of length, but not enough height to the footbed. The nails of my big toes kind of turn up, which is most likely why this is an issue for me. Unless you have this issue, I think these shoes would be perfect in every way. I am so sad to have to return these.

I walked all over Italy in wet conditions with these. They do seem to run big. I wear a 7.5 in nearly every brand and ended up with a 7 but I probably should've gone down to a 6.5.

I think this boot runs a tiny bit long, and a tiny bit narrow across the middle (the toe box was regular width). If you are between sizes, I'd recommend rounding down for the length. My foot is on the narrow side, so the width was fine for me, but something to think about. That said, I kept the boots and have found them to be really, really comfortable. The look is sleek and the leather is very high quality and breaks in easily and beautifully.

This is my favorite boot ever, which is why I bought a second pair. Every time I wear them, I get compliments. They are comfortable and waterproof (although they don't look it.) I do wear them with an [half] inner sole, as I have a narrow heel.

I have the worst problem with shoes fitting my feet. Nothing is "just right"... until these boots arrived. I've worn them around the house and now outside, they fit perfectly and feel like buttah. Love 'em!

Comfortable on day one. Though not a snow boot, is waterproof and perfect for winter day to day. Sleek sharp with jeans, skirt, leggings, pants and a little techy looking. Love them.

Love this boot - was leery of spending this much on a bootie but they were a fantastic buy. Super comfortable and looks good with skinny jeans and bootcut jeans. They have been my go to boot this winter.

Very comfortable, like all Ahnu shoes! My only worry is that they'll be slippery in slush. In the cold and rain they're fine though.

Review Text: I love the style of these boots. They are beautiful and look great with jeans and dress pants. They have some padding but not a lot and some arch support but I'd like even more. I wear a size 8 in most Italian shoes and since these have that look I ordered 8. The shoe fits however the toe box is a bit small for me (as someone else mentioned) but not too much. If I had ordered a larger size, they wouldn't have fit at the heel. I get lots of compliments on these boots.

These boots are pretty great. They're comfy enough to bike commute and then walk around in all day at work (I sit about 2/3 of the time). They fit true to size, but a little bit loose in the heel like a rainboot - though they're basically really fancy rainboots, so that makes sense. They felt a tiny bit tight in the toes when I first put them on, but I haven't noticed since I wore them for the first hour. (And I wear pretty thick socks.)

These boots are nice, cute, comfy, well made but - I found them extremely long. As in, my toe was 1.5-2 inches from the end of the boot. I ordered my usual size, 6, and while they fit in the width the length seemed very long. Sadly they don't come in a smaller size and I'll be returning them.

Beautiful boots, simple & stylish. They aren't a perfect fit for my wide feet, but they are comfortable despite extra length in toe area.

I like the style of this boot but it seemed to run small and I didn't like the color of the sole. The leather upper is nice quality. I'm returning b/c I prefer another boot that I ordered better.

Loved the way these looked, but not how they felt. I have very narrow feet yet my toes were a bit pinched. They also weren't as well made as the price would suggest. The inside stitching was rough in some places, leading to discomfort even through socks. Thought they looked great stylish and subtle and agonized a bit about returning them. Just couldn't justify the expense given the quality and ill fit, though.
