Have not used it yet -- bought for an upcoming trip where I will not have access to a hotel safe and want to lock up my laptop while I am out for the day. It does fit perfectly in my carry on bag. One tip for purchasers: The instructions to set the lock to your own combination are not included, but I found them easily enough on line with google.
