These are great shoes for walking/running. I bought these for my girlfriend. Neither of us is a fan of the Nike Free as we prefer arch support. These shoes provide great arch support for high arches. They are also surprisingly padded on the inside. To top it off, they are very stylish.

I'm a loyal Pegasus fan. Every year I always buy a new pair. Last years style I ended up returning because I didn't like the way they looked. I went with Nike tailwinds and I was so disappointed. Tailwinds are no where near as flexible and versatile as Pegasus. Besides that they fell apart within 6 months. On to this style: I ordered the pink in size 9 (for the last 4 pairs of nikes I've purchased, 9 fit me perfect). For reference, my feet are a tad less than 10 inches in length & an average width leaning towards the wide side, but still fall In the regular width group. I received the 9 and tried them on. They squished the balls of my feet really bad. To the point that my feet had cleavage on the bottoms. The length was fine, but the width was a wreck. I wanted to exchange for a 9W, but of course, not avail in pink. Had to get 9.5M. The 9.5 left me with a good inch space after my toes, which for me personally is too much because my toes tend to drag because of the extra length. I stayed with them anyways. They are no where near the "walking on cloud" experience that previous models offered. The toe room is no longer "roomy". The shoe is different and has taken me sometime to get used to. I've accepted them, but prefer the fit of previous models. I love the colors of these. The hot pink is a delight.

I love these shoes and get compliments on them whenever I wear them. (I have the mango-colored ones.) I bought them for running but I like them so much that I have really limited them only to the gym. Long-term I don't know how they will hold up because they are super light.

These shoes felt very comfortable on and I really wished I could keep them, but I can not. There is no arch support so my feet kept rolling in. Unfortunately I have to return these shoes because of this.

I have been using the Nike Pegasus for years starting with Pegasus 28 and have always been very satisfied with them. Sadly, I'm very disappointed with this newest version. I wear a size 6 in these and out of the box, this one was already too tight around the toe box area. Even skipping an eyelet on the widest part of my feet didn't help the situation. The toe box is also very shallow so my toes felt very cramped in. It's narrower than the previous iterations of the Pegasus. The plastic material adjacent to the mesh ends up around the widest part of my foot. Because this material doesn't stretch like the mesh does, it constricts that area of the foot and it's quite uncomfortable. This very same material also dug into the top of my big toes and I noticed it running downhill. As far as cushioning goes, it's a bit firmer than previous models but I have no issues with that. The arch support is about the same. Yes, it's a bit more responsive but that's because it's a bit firmer. Bottom line: this version is too narrow in the front for me and if the situation doesn't improve, I may just have to get a different line altogether.

I have been a loyal Pegasus user for years. Underpronater who needs cushioning. This new version lacks the cushioning (cushlon sole) the older versions had. I am disappointed. Please bring the older version back. It was perfect. New Balance fresh foam boracay is my new go to shoe. Sorry to have to switch but my knees told me I had to.

I have bought a few pairs of Nike running shoes from Zappos. I run half marathons in them, and they generally work out great. I bought these for treadmill use only, and have so far only used them for a few weeks for short distances inside, and they have already ripped. They are not made well and now they look awful. I can't believe a pair of Nikes lasted only a few miles on a treadmill before falling apart. They were great looking shoes when they came.

Wide width in these is closer to a normal width for other brands. However in the foot/heel section, there is very minimal padding for running and other impact activities.

I've worn Nike's Pegasus shoes for years, but these are too tight across the toe box. Too bad! My old Nike Pegasus fit perfectly!

I love the look of these shoes! Sadly, these shoes didn't give my feet the support they need (underpronator with high arches). I have never had a foot cramp as badly as I did in these shoes.

I've been buying the Pegasus 30 for quite a while now and it seems as though Nike is changing the quality of its shoes. Went to buy my black pair which is worn out now but could only find the Pegasus 31. Thought it might not be too different but I was so wrong. It is a stiff shoe, with little comfort overall. Finding a shoe is very difficult for me due to bunions and knee pain and the Pegasus 31 is so stiff that I won't even attempt to keep it. Guess I'm back to searching...I do not recommend this Pegasus model. However, Zappos is the best ever!

I wear only Nikes but the Pegasus were not amply cushioned as similar pairs I've purchased. I returned them after quickly realizing I wouldn't be happy in them.

Unfortunately, this will be my last pair of Nikes. I run 25 miles a week and included in this is one long run of 7-10 miles. I have always worn and loved Nikes. This year, 2 of the pairs of Nikes that I purchased had a lump in on the inside on the bottom of the shoe. One flattened over time and the other remained and I ended up tossing the shoes. Unfortunately, I believe the quality of Nikes has substantially declined as a result of my recent experience. Based on feedback from running friends, I am changing to Brooks.

I used to wear the Nike Air Pegasus 30 in an 8.5 Wide so I thought this would be a good replacement. The 31 runs much smaller and much narrower in the toe box. In the end I ended up going with a Nike Zoom Vomero+ 8 in a size 9. It's still not quite as wide as I would like in the toe box, but it feels a lot better.

Let me start by saying I love Nike Pegasus. The Pegasus 29 was the best running shoe I have ever owned but after about a year I was ready for a new pair. The Pegasus 31 do not even remotely compare. There is very little support. My legs start to hurt only after a couple miles. I have had these shoes for less than a month and they just keep getting worse. I really wish I could send them back and continue my hunt for a new pair of 29's. Save your money!

One must wonder when Nike is going to size their shoes according to the standard guidelines. These were so painfully narrow and yet not too long so going up a size wouldn't have solved the problem. If you have narrow feet, these shoes are for you. The rest of us must stick with Asics or New Balance.

I have been an avid purchaser of Nike shoes for at least 20 years. This shoe is the worst shoe I have ever had. The design around the top part of the shoe that is near the ankle is designed so it apparently rubs on my ankles when I walk. I didn't notice it until I decided to go hiking in the Costa Rican mountains (paved roads) and my ankles were completely sore the next day. I have never considered whether my ankles were rubbing on a shoe when I have purchased a shoe before, but now I will consider that. I have to purchase another pair of running shoes and have basically thrown away the money. It's just too high cut.

This is a great looking shoe but is constructed differently than the previous Pegasus. I would recommend the Lunar Glide for serious runners. I had a sore tailbone and leg pain after running in these shoes.

I have run in Pegasus shoes for decades. They are by far my favorite but for some reason, this shoe is lacking in quality. This series of Pegasus doesn't have the same cushion, width and overall comfort. It is a very stiff shoe and I wouldn't recommend it.

I have worn Nike Pegasus for many years and these are the worse ever. I wear a 6 1/2 regular shoe, but always buy 7 1/2 in Nikes. My foot is not wide at all and the toe box has been more than ample in Pegasus models before this one. I this model the toe box comes down on my big toe and causes pain within one minute of trying them on. After returning these to Zappos I went to a local store and tried the size 8 on and it did the same thing. I will not be able to wear these Nikes at all and they recommended the Nike Vomero 8 and 9, which I did not think was that comfortable. I have suffered with plantar fasciitis for years and walk 4 1/2 miles 4-5 times a week in an hour. The foot physical therapist recommended Mizuno wave runners last spring when the orthopedist released me from an orthotic boot (I was in for 4 months) for a stress fracture in my heel, so I have a few pair of these and will go back to them until I find something better.

I don't what Nike has done over the last 5 years with running shoes...this one was wider than the 30! It seems like there really isn't a "narrow"...the narrows are more like medium widths...so disappointing...but I keep trying! Thanks Zappos for the great service!
