Purchased for my husband. He had the Beast 12 and got the same size and width in the Beast 14. He loves these shoes and runs about 10-15 miles a week. He's an overpronater and finds the Beast provides excellent arch support, stability, and comfort. Definitely recommend.

I have purchase several pairs of these shoes over the last couple of years. They are very comfortable and light. I am a big guy so I need a shoe that is comfortable when I walk. The Beast fits the bill. I walk several miles a day and these shoes have never let me down. The fit is true to size. I have a wide foot so I purchase the wide width shoe. Never feels tight! I highly recommend these athletic shoes!

This is the second pair of the same style we have purchased. My husband has Plantar Fasciitis and his feet do not hurt in these, without having added any inserts. He wears between a 12 and 13 depending on the brand/style and takes a 13 in these.

I have a neuroma (morton's neuroma) on my left foot. My podiatrist recommended these shoes. Along with my orthotics I can finally have a decent workout. I do cardio sculpt and total body and these shoes are great. My soles are protected -- lots of stability and support. Heavier than most but well made.

Very narrow box box for a 4E shoe. needed to return. It is a shame because while the shoe is clearly well built there must have been a change at Brooks. I was coming back to wearing Beasts and they used to be more generous in the toe box.

This shoe as the max cushioning combined with a supportive footbed. It is heavy compared with other running shoes, but not an issue if you're a 65-year old grandmother of baby twins who is providing their first year of day care!

These are the only sneakers I buy now. My feet pronate and these shoes keep them stable. Cushioning is great.

Extremely comfortable, well made running shoes for men who tend to be bigger than most runners. I have foot issues and these are a great shoe. One word of caution: these shoes run extremely narrow. I'm a D width in every other shoe I own, including a pair of Brooks Adrenalines. These are 4E width and are comfortable...I don't know why.

Good pair of shoes. Fit great! For big guys who need the extra support and stability get this shoe. I love brooks shoes. I had the beast 12 and a pair of adrenaline. Both good shoes but the beast gives me more support. I walk 3 miles everyday and I have started jogging. This shoe gives me the support I need especially after plantar fasciitis. Highly recommend.

My disabled son has awful feet with severe over pronation. The minute he put these on, they were comfortable. Plus he thinks they look cool! Got them 1/2 size up and wider to accommodate his orthotics.

I bought these for my husband. He loves them! He has flat feet so we have a hard time finding shoes that don't kill his feet. A couple days after we bought the first set, he had me order anther pair in a different color!

Did a run-off vs high-end NB and Asics and this shoe won hands-down (feet up?). It was like driving a Range Rover vs. Honda Element.

I buy 2 pair of these shoes every year. I walk 5 miles a day. The only shoe for me.

These shoes were for my husband. His foot Dr. suggested them as he is heavy and had diabetes. He loves these shoes, and they allow him to walk without the pronation that was causing his pain.

My podiatrist recommended this shoe instead of a walker type shoe and I've has a few pairs of these over the past 5 years. They are consistently a great fit and solid performer. I'm less than thrilled with the multi colored style and limited colors but the shoe is one of the best I've ever worn.

I need a wide shoe with a wide toe box. This shoe in a 4E width does work for me. It has more padding than a New Balance 990 (which is my go to shoe) and is comfortable to wear.

I am 6'3", 180lbs with flat feet I was running in Nike Structure 14s but they were no good over 5 or 6 mile runs. These shoes eliminated all arch pain over that distance and more. The stock Brooks insole is great and plush but I added SuperFeet Blue inserts to bolster the support over the long haul. To be a control shoe it isn't terribly heavy but is heavier than a neutral or speed oriented shoe. The strike feel is great on all surfaces and the shoe soaks up irregularities no problem. Lateral support is great when level but you will roll your ankle if you step off the side of the path while running but that is the case with most shoes. I wore a 13 in the other shoes and bought a 14 in these , at first they felt too big not length wise but internal volume this provides great relief during long runs when your feet start to swell/expand. No blisters as of yet. I've done several 10 mile runs and two in the rain. The sole is solid and robust and is wearing in good, the uppers breathe great never had an overheating issue. Great shoe for flat feet!

I just received my first pair of Brooks Beast. I'm very disappointed that they are too short even though I ordered 1 size larger as recommended. I wear a 15 and ordered a 16 and they are still too small. It's a shame that sizes are all over the map when ordering shoes. They look great but don't fit, who has time to deal with returns over and over?

After looking high and low for a stability shoe that would last more than 3 months, I finally found the BEAST... 4 years ago. best shoe I ever ran in, bar none - and I always keep a couple of pairs in stock, dreading the day they will go out of production... recommended for heavy runners needing a durable stability shoe.

These are a great shoe with super support. I'm a 6'4" 250 pound runner and I have never had problems with these shoes and this is my second pair. I've had pain and arch issues with others. My first pair, which were my regular size of 13 had a huge toe box and felt a little sloppy with too much room. This time I ended up with a 12.5 wide (my first pair of wide shoes) that felt fantastic.

Brooks Beast is without equal, especially for those with knee or hip issues. I've owned more than 20 pairs. But this '14 version is definitely sized differently. Street shoe size of 14M - with a narrow foot and regular arch - and needed to order a 15M in this shoe.

My teenage son is a big athlete and wears nothing but these shoes - and cleats when he has to. Actually, really wish Brooks made cleats, too!

Great shoe; get a new Beast every year. This shoe has a large toe box that fits what a foot is; also, this model has innovated securing straps (one on both sides) to keep the tongue in place. Since I wear a custom orthotic I need to get the wider 2E to accommodate it. Brooks Beast are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn; only wish they (Brooks) would make these shoes in plain Black or Brown - the Addiction isn't this shoe - don't forget this shoe is not cheap; but, remember "don't skip on your bed or your shoes, since you will be in one or the other every minute of every day of your life."
