Great shoes! Very comfortable and supportive.The tied down tongue takes getting used to but worth the time.

I'm a bigger athlete and these shoes immediately gave me the support and stability I was looking for. I used the sizing tool on the company's site to find out I needed a half size up from the shoes I was wearing. Not the flashiest shoe I've owned, but very comfortable and great support. The arch support is fine, I am not adding supports which I do to most shoes. Lateral stability is very good. It is not a super-cushy shoe, but I didn't want that. I think I've found my new shoe for training!

These shoes were recommended to me by Dr. Walther Bohne, an emeritus foot surgeon at New York's Hospital for Special Surgery, which is the #1 rated orthopedic center in the USA. After decades of running, in 2003 I severed my left tibial tendon and required a major foot reconstruction. I was very lucky to have it performed by the chief of orthopedics at UCLA med school, who did a perfect surgery. But as he predicted, a small tear developed in my right tibial. So I went to HSS, where they care for Olympians, pro athletes, ballet dancers, and pathetic nobodies like me. Dr. Bohne saw me and reassured me that as long as I always wore custom orthotics, wore The Beast as much as possible for the superb support, and do arch building exercises every day, I was fine to proceed. These shoes fit me perfectly and I'm a 13 EEEE. I feel solidly supported in them. I wouldn't live without them.

I was ready to go to a podiatrist because of very painful bone spurs in my heels. I tried the Brooks Beast and immediately knew this would be a very helpful shoe. That was 6 months ago and I have no pain in my feet and never did go to a podiatrist.

I came back to these now that the color scheme is toned down from the previous superhero styles. My podiatrist recommends these for my pronation. One warning is that these came with stretchy laces and I was pulling too hard while lacing which caused pain on the side of my little toe, but once I switched to very lightly pulling the laces while lacing they became extremely comfortable!

My husband absolutely loves these shoes; he uses them for work and play. He just had surgery for his heel as well and they offer excellent support and his doctor and physical therapist approved them as well!

This is always the "go to" shoe for my husband. He has very wide feet and needs a lot of support. He is a doctor of chiropractic and has to push off with his feet all day long. These shoes hold up well and come in those very wide shoe sizes that some men need and have a hard time finding. The only recommendation is that they offer these shoes in a larger selection of colors which should include the crazy to the traditional.

I was very pleased with the delivery time at Zappos. I received my merchandise in less than one week. Great speedy service.

I have been wearing the Beast for over five years straight. I absolutely love them! The 2E widths fit the conformity of my wide feet. I hike, work, and play in these all year round. I usually buy twice a year because I am so hard on them. As long as they keep making them I am going to keep buying them.

I just ordered my second pair of these a week ago. I got almost a year out of my current sneakers. These sneakers ran the gauntlet of the treadmill & outside pavement. I would recommend these to anyone who's active?

I am very pleased with the style, comfort, and support of these sneakers. I ordered them based on the various reviews that I read, and I am not disappointed. This is my first pair of Brooks Beast, prior to that I always ordered New Balance, and these shoes definitely have more support which I need for my 270 pound frame. They do run a little narrow according to the reviews so I ordered 13EE, and I usually wear 13D. They fit perfectly.

I have flat feet and was looking for a shoe that gives me good support and stability. I think I found it in this Brooks Beast.

I read all the reviews that said they run small I do not think so. if you have worn other Brooks brand shoes they are exactly the same size. I have no complaints. They are good shoes so far.

My 17 year old says these are the most comfortable shoes he has ever had. These fit his long, wide fell perfectly!

These shoes are awesome! If you are a bigger person, you know most or all running shoes are not made for you. These are! You have to be a beast to fully understand, but why would you want to be anything else! YEEEEEEYAH! You will lover these shoes!

These shoes are great. I am a women and bought these shoes on my husband's recommendation because I complained of pain in the ball of my foot when I played tennis. There is just not enough cushioning in any women's shoes I tried. This shoe works great!

Purchased the Beast 14 for my husband. He usually wears a 10EE in another brand, but last pair I ordered were to tight. I knew Brooks were suppose to be good so I decided to try them. Upon reading the reviews that said the new Beast 14 ran a little tighter I went with 10 (4E). Success they fit perfectly, and my husband loves them. Very comfortable and great support. Will order another pair in a different color.

If you have flat feet and need to workout or run, these are the sneakers for you. This is my fourth pair in many years. They last, even through my abuse.

I don't typically write or offer reviews or testimonials. However, I am taking the time here to share my view of Zappos and their incredible customer service and efficiency. Just before Christmas (2015) I placed an order with Zappos for a new pair of Brooks Beast running shoes (my sixth pair actually). I've always worn Men's size 10 in medium width. Apparently Brooks had changed suppliers or changed their configuration of the shoe ever so slightly to the smaller side. Thus, when I received my shoes from Zappos and tried them on, they were a half-size too small and way too tight laterally. I contacted Zappos and they made the return of the first delivery and the subsequent exchange absolutely seamless and without hassle. In fact, I received my exchange in two-days time even before my return had made it back to them. I am so impressed with their efficiency and hassle-free return/exchange policy that I will buy all my sports and outdoors footwear from them in the future.

Great shoes but even better customer service! I didn't like shoes I originally ordered. Zappos made the exchange super easy!

This shoe is comfortable, stable, supportive (with my orthotic inserts), and reasonably attractive. I am difficult to please and difficult to fit. I'm so glad I found these. They seem well made, though I've only had them a few days. I have purchased these a couple of times before- so I thought they would be good. I use them for walking, gym workouts, and plan to use them for hiking, though I don't think the soles will protect me from rocks as well as the Patagonia Drifters (low hiking shoes) which are no longer made.

My husband has flat feet and he states that these shoes are the most comfortable he has ever worn, because they provide him incredible arch and ankle support. As long as Brooks keep selling this model, we will continue to purchase them!

I'm on my 4th pair of these shoes and I love them. I wear them daily for everyday activities and they last me about 6 months. I'm a bigger guy with flat feet and these have great support.
