I have been wanting this coat and I love it! Came very fast in the mail. Only complaint is the arms are a little short.

I'm 5'1" and just under 100 lbs, and this coat fits me beautifully in size XS. I put "runs small" under overall fit because I'm used to XS being too big for me. I get cold easily, and most coats warm enough for me make me look like a little girl trapped in a marshmallow. This one is perfect-- very warm but not bulky looking, and very flattering but with room for a thick sweater underneath. This coat will keep you warm ale inter long. It's fitted just right so you don't have to worry about it making you look too big! The length of the coat protects your thighs which is awesome! Washes well!

The coat was a perfect fit!! What else would you expect from Northface? I am so pleased to get this gift for my daughter. Now everyone in my family is prepared for winter by Northface.

I have always wanted this jacket but when I thought to purchase it the past few years it was always sold out. This year I knew I definitely had to have it for my trip to Europe in November. So I went in September and purchased the coat in Navy. The color is gorgeous and I just can't wait for colder weather to wear it!

Despite living in New York my whole life, I never had a super warm coat since walking to the car to school and back never warranted one. Now that I'm going to college in New England and walking around in the cold for periods of time during the day, a simple jacket or pea coat didn't cut it, especially during this past long winter. I think this coat will be perfect, though. It fits just right while still having room for bulkier sweaters, and the length will be great for keeping my legs warm. It's surprisingly lightweight, and the burnt olive green color is really nice-looking.

I got this coat in the purple and was initially worried that the color would appear maroonish or even brown, but I am very happy to report it is a beautiful, rich, eggplant color just as I had hoped! Makes it a very special coat in a see of black coats everyone wears. I also love the style, it is very flattering! It narrows in at the waist nicely and accentuates your figure, even in larger sizes. The coat is also very funtional- super warm but also very light!

I am 5'5 1/2 and weigh 120-25, and the small fits me perfectly. If you wear really bulky sweaters, you might want to go up a size, but my sweaters are more of the Smartwool variety, and not too bulky, so this is perfect. I like the more fitted look, and not the sleeping-bag look, so this coat is perfect! This type of coat is very popular in Minnesota, and last winter I could not find one by the time the temperatures were below freezing, so this year I am prepared!

I purchased this for my daughter who is in college and has to walk a few miles from home to class. She loves the coat and cannot wait to start wearing it. She had been looking for a longer jacket for the last couple of years and the minute she saw this one she knew it was exactly what she wanted.

Great winter coat for freezing east coast weather. Runs a bit small??_ I am 5'2 120 lbs and in between small and medium. I will probably be keeping the small but wish it was a tad bit bigger. Still an amazing coat! My last north face jacket has lasted 10 years!

great coat!! you can not be beat the price nor the warmth and coziness. Simply stated this is the go to coat if you live in the cold, snowy climates.

I absolutely love this coat. It is so lightweight to wear, yet it is very warm and cozy. Last winter was brutal and I suspect this winter will be the same. But I'm not worried. I have my north face coat to keep me toasty.

It's warm. It's comfortable. The fit is fabulous. Its cute and practical all at the same time.

The Northface stands behind their products! I love my new Miss Metro coat. New design ,new materials, still not too puffy and fits like a glove! This is the third Miss Metro coat I have bought and this one is a keeper. After the winter we had in Michgian, I don't know what I would do without it!

Bought the parka for my daughter who lives in Chicago. Perfect fit. She loves it. I know she will be warm during the harsh Chicago winters. Love North Face products. Customer forever!

This is my second NF parka coat. I loved my first one and wore it for 4 years. I still have it but reserve it only for the dog park. I purchased this new one and can't wait for winter to wear it. It is light weight and i love the quilting.

Good nice and warm

It's pretty comfortable but I would say it runs a little big. I'm a size 4-6 and the small is a little big on me. I was disappointed because there is a plastic logo piece on the sleeve that fell off after the second wear. There's no way to reattach it and the insides of the coat are coming out of the tiny hole where the piece of plastic was. Also this coat is always getting inexplicably dirty and the fabric is hard to clean.

The product could be good IF I didn't receive one which had a really bad smell. Maybe sweat or chemical? It was like a "used" coat in a bad condition, so I had to return it.

I have worn this coat for 2 winters now and it is my go to coat for all winter weather. I wear it pretty much everyday. Snow, wind, bitter cold..this coat keeps me warm. I get caught in the rain quite often because I walk to work and even though this isn't really a rain jacket, it does keep me dry and warm. My only complaint is I wish it lasted longer...the matte black is wearing off in places and starting to look very worn. I will probably buy this coat again for next year but I wish it lasted for a couple more winters.

I am 64, 5' 5", weigh 155 lbs, have an athletic build with no waist, the arms are almost too long and the coat hits right at the knee, I chose a size large and its a good fit for me, not snug & not too loose. I've been wearing the original brown NF parka/coat for at least 10 years, had the zipper replaced a few years back and it has served me really well in the northern Michigan winters. I like using the hood over my NF cable beanie for added warmth when its snowing or went the wind's howling.

This coat is a bit more stylish than the Metropolis parka. I have a metropolis and use it for cold weather as well, but in NYC I wanted something a bit more urban. To be honest this coat is great, except for one thing: I think its missing some cinching in the waist. I think in some views, my midsection looks very puffed out and that is the sheer nature of the cut of this jacket. If there were some simple drawcords at the waist that would be all this coat would have needed to look a bit more svelte in a cold weather jacket, especially around the middle!
