The jacket is super warm and wind resistant. It is also very good in the rain. The hood could use better adjustments. And the zipper on the front is the WORST!!! It sticks all the time. I can take several minutes to get it to catch properly when zipping up. Not convenient when you are in a rush. My husband has a NF jacket and I thought it was just him. Turns out I was wrong. Their zippers are the worst. While I like the jacket otherwise and like their rain gear and warranty. I would not have bought this product if I knew in advance that the zipper was going to be so finicky.

I was looking for a super warm coat. Though this coat is warm it isn't warm enough. I still felt cold on my arms. The zippers were also a pain. The chin guard was stiff and uncomfortable. Pockets are not behind the padding so your hands get cold. It did have nice touches like the adjustable hood.

I ordered a S, which came as S/P, in brown. I am 5'-2" tall, 110 lbs - fit is nice, flattering, albeit snug. Color is pretty. Quality is good. I'm with the other reviewers - tight under the arms. Also I wasn't really comfortable using the top 2 snaps because the coat comes very high up under the chin. And the zipper is a little awkward. Gonna continue in my search for the perfect coat.

I recently purchased this jacket. I was very excited, I needed a jacket that was long enough and warm enough for the crazy Chicago winter! I fitted a Medium. It was very comfortable! However, it did not fit well for my body. The style did not show any figure, especially when wearing an additional sweater inside for warmth. Unfortunately I returned it and purchased a different North Face jacket!

This is a great coat, super warm but I will be sending it back. As other reviewers have mentioned the arms are way too tight. The proportions seem off in the arm area. I would like to keep this, but for the price I think there should be no issues whatsoever for it to be a keeper.

Wanted to love this. I purchased this jacket several years ago and loved it. As a reward for losing a considerable amount of weight, I decided to treat myself to my favorite coat in a smaller size. Big disappointment. The coat fit in the size I ordered, but there is something wrong with how it's cut. The armpits seemly too high and makes it feel like you're wearing a straight jacket. Unfortunately, this one is going back.

This jacket is super cute, but the arms are super contracting. I almost felt like I was wearing a straight jacket. I could barely lift my arms up to the front or the sides without feeling a tight pull on the jacket. I've worn size Medium North Face jackets for 10 years, so I'm super surprised at the fit of this jacket. I'll have to test out some different parkas to see how they fit. Hopefully the arms are looser.

I looked everywhere for a warm jacket that was also waterproof that didn't look ridiculous and in this price range, and this jacket seemed to fit the bill. However, I have a few issues with it. 1) It definitely runs small. I'm 5'3", 120 lbs. and I needed a small. I usually wear an XS, but even the small is snug. 2) The pockets are really awkward. They are deep, which is nice, but they're angled and tight at the top so it's difficult to use them to put your hands in -- they seem to be more for storage. 3) The fur on the hood is so awkward. I think because it stops at the neck and doesn't go all the way down, it just looks really weird. So many jackets look so cute with the fur hood, but this one, when you actually wear the hood with the fur attached, I think you look rather strange -- it's definitely not cute. I'm starting to wish I'd returned it, but oh well, too late now.

I got an XS and the proportions are a little off. The sleeves are long and big. And around the waist it's a little too small. It still zipped, but overall it doesn't really fit. It is warm however. And it looks alright, but not great.

I had really high hopes for this coat, but was sadly disappointed when I got it. The armholes were way too tight/small. Theres no way I could drive with this coat on. I liked the color and styling, but if it doesn't fit I'm not keeping it.

I really wanted to love this coat, but it was not meant to be. Other reviewers mentioned the small shoulders and I agree. The sleeves are very slim which makes for a tight armpit/shoulder area. But it's HUGE in the hips. I have an hourglass shape and this was just too big on the bottom. It's not flattering and even if it was, in person there is nothing exciting about this jacket. Other than the fur on the hood it's very plain. Winter is blah enough as it is, a jacket should have some cute details. Returning it.

This item arrived with no tags and the pockets stuffed with crumpled, used Kleenex tissues and a brown coffee house napkin. I had no idea I had ordered a previously used item!!

To put it plainly, I'm disappointed in this coat. My beloved NF Arctic Down Parka purchased approximately 8 years ago (which was fabulous-so toasty) burned when our house caught on fire this Thanksgiving. I purchased this coat as a replacement (same model, size, style, just the new version) and it is not the same... While it's great looking I was cold as soon as I stepped outside - weather was 27 and sunny. My old coat would have laughed at that temp. There's little down fill and also I felt a breeze at the neck area and running up the front of the coat. So return it I must... Really considering not buying North Face items again from this experience. Wish I had my old coat back.

I am 5'8" - about 145 pounds with a curvy figure - I ordered the medium because of the advice in other reviews and I'm swimming in it - I look like a boxy grey marshmallow! I'm so sad because I was really looking forward to getting this coat. I am not sure a small will work across the shoulders though - very very disappointed!
