Love these shoes. The best shoe for walking. Normally ad my Superfeet insole but, no need. Just ordered a pair for my husband.

These are great shoes. I need to be on my feet all day and have to wear black shoes for work. They are lightweight and the mesh helps with air circulation. They give all the support I need with good arch support. I've worn many brands of athletic shoes. I keep coming back to Asics.

This has been my walking shoe for a few years now. It fits well, breathes well (a must since we live in the hot desert), and is durable. I only need to replace them about evey six month and I walk 5 miles daily. I love this shoe.

I wanted a sneaker that gave more snug support so my feet wouldn't ache at the end of the day. Initially they felt too tight, but I loosened the laces from top to bottom and then the fit was perfect. I wear 7.5 and it feels true to size. Nice style and color.

Awesome comfy shoes! Can wear them for a 12 hr shift and my feet are not tired. I look forward to being able to actually run in them later this year. After I get my angry knee replaced. :)

Great shoe with excellent arch support.I purchased 1/2 size up from what I wear in a boot or pump. Perfect fit! My feet are on the narrow side but I like extra room in the toe box. This shoe fit the bill. I'm considering buying a second pair.

Extremely comfortable from the minute I put them on. I wear a size 8 and bought a size 8. They felt true to size. I would definitely buy another pair of these shoes for walking.

Bought these to have a "city" version of my very comfortable walkers, bought a number of years ago. Fit was good, and same bouncy effect on my stride when out walking. I knew from previous pair that I had to buy a full size larger than I normally take.

I have been walking with running shoes not wanting to buy "Grammy " walking shoes. I just came back from a 2 mile walk for the first time in months without burning feet, painful muscles and general fatigue! These are awesome shoes and I will buy another pair to have on hand. I also teach high school. Might have to wear them at school.

I was looking for an ultra comfortable walking shoe, something I could wear all day if necessary. I searched the Internet for reviews from professionals and this was one of two highly recommended across different sites where the reviews seemed authentic and believable. I ordered from Zappos because they had the best price. They fit well from the outset and are very comfortable. I'm in my sixties and can't wear a lot of shoes. These hit the spot! They are also attractive. I love the black on black with slivers of silver -- I wear a lot of black, it's slimming. They hold up well and are my favorite shoes.

I needed a comfortable shoe for everyday wear. I have arthritis in my feet and wear orthotics, so it is hard to find something comfortable. These shoes are great! I wear them 14 hrs a day. It feels so comfortable when I am walking. I chose these over the New Balance walking shoes because these have less of an arch. When you add orthotics in a shoe, an additional arch is not helpful. If you need extra support, New Balance does offer extra arch support in their shoes.

These shoes feel good, look good and the process to order was easy. They arrived in good condition and quickly.

I have multiple foot problems and I hate buying shoes. I had a version of these shoes from about two yrs ago and walked them to death. I wanted to avoid mesh, as my toes pop through long before the shoes wear out and they're cold in winter. I ordered six pairs of shoes based on my orthopedist's recommendations and these were still the most supportive and best fit for my skinny heels - they hug the heel and I was "walking out" of the other brands. Other brands, especially Saucony, banged into my side ankle bones. I bought a half size larger than I normally wear and they fit well. They appear more cheaply made than the last pair I bought a few years ago, but that's strictly appearance at this point. I read about ways to lace them that might prevent my big toe from busting through. I was thrilled to find a tutorial that utilizes the extra lace hole at the top to "lock" your foot into position. It's not as uncomfortable as it sounds and prevents my foot from shoving to the front of the shoe, thereby putting less pressure on the mesh toe area. It also puts the arch support right under my arch where I need it and keeps it there. I cannot recommend this "locking" lacing method enough! However, the laces that came with this shoe were not quite long enough to tie them easily when using the extra hole, so I got a 54-inch pair of laces. This shoe is good for my occasional plantar fasciitis and my neuroma, and it's nice and wide in the toe box to prevent rubbing between toes. I use orthodics in mine and there is no fit problem. I wear them all the time because the neuroma prevents me from going without shoes. I also have constant swelling in one ankle after a broken leg/ankle several years ago - this pair is about as good as it gets for feet that are so different in size and so mangled. I should add I tried to keep my purchase under $100, so the comparison shoes were at lower price points than this pair. You might find something better for more money.

I love this shoe for its comfort and for its style for my feet which over-pronate. The support is very good. I just WISH Zappos would make these in some DIFFERENT COLORS so I could vary the look. I do like the white and black, so thank you for that. These are very popular shoes, so please consider making more colors especially for your aging population! Own a business and buy these for my employees. They stand on their feet eight hours a day on concrete. They love the shoes. Neither their feet nor their backs hurt while wearing these shoes. Have to change out every 6 months because with everyday use they do break down. Pretty standard with any shoe and constant everyday wear.

UPDATE to my December 2014 review. I am ordering another pair. Initially, the synthetic piece on the side of the shoe was causing a hot spot, but it did soften up quickly. I have been happy with the flexibility and cushioning.

I tried on several highly-rated brands of walking shoes along with this Asics Gel model. This was the best fitting and feeling for my feet (I also own Asics running shoes). I have somewhat high arches, narrow heels and need room in the toe box, and this shoe works for me. Very comfortable--supportive and cushioned. It seems to prevent shin splints, to which I am prone. I do wear a half size larger than my street shoes in athletic shoes, and this held true for this shoe. Thanks to Zappos easy shipping/returns policy, I was able to try on several brands and sizes in order to find the best shoe for me!

I have had asics gel sneakers in the past and no problem with the fit in the same size. I did not wear these when I first received them.I later wore them around the house trying to break them in and give them a chance to loosen up. They are still too tight and my feet feel uncomfortable, I'd like another try in size 8 if that is possible

Happy with style. Happy with comfort so far but really haven't worn it enough to be sure if my tricky heal will be okay in these. Plan to use these as summer biking shoe and village walking shoe. I like that you can adjust support and fit so well just by tightening or loosening the laces.

This is my 3rd pair of Asics Gels - they're always comfortable but these are a little stiffer than the others have been. I've been wearing them to walk, though, without any problems. I like the wide toe box and comfort.

I have been buying the Asics 3 for the last couple years and they are the best shoes ever! I think they stopped making them. These are not as good as the #3. Please bring them back.

Asics have been my go to walking shoe for several years. I buy them for comfort and the removable foot bed. I replace the footbed with my orthotic and found Asics to work well with this in the past. This shoe was narrow in the toe box. Not only did it feel tight across the toes, but it was obvious form just looking at them that they were narrow. My orthotic did not fit at all. The fit from top to bottom with my orthotic was too tight as well. I normally wear 6 1/2 in Asics I always order 7 1/2. I am returning these shoes.

For whatever reason, I don't find these as comfortable as my last pair of Asics. I do like the fact that I can replace the insole, but the downside is that the shoes squeak whenever I do that. However, the sneakers are comfortable and supportive enough with their original insole, so I'll continue to wear them. Also, I wish the shoes didn't have that mesh in the front. I started wearing these as Spring was making it's way in and the weather was very breezy. So much air was getting into the shoes. Unlike my last pair, I can only wear these in the Spring, Summer and maybe a little into the fall.
