Well made, nice design, fits airline specs, nice design. I have only used once so far. I replaced an old carry on, this one is lighter and seems more robust.

I have had the Rolling Thunder 30" for over a year, and purchased the 22" for long weekends. I love being able to look at the luggage conveyor belt and know that I will be picking up my suitcase. I love NorthFace due to the durability, and look of all their products. My daughter has taken her 22" all around the world and it still looks brand new. I highly recommend this product!

I purchased the rolling thunder 22 after receiving the rolling thunder 30 as a gift. The rolling thunder 30 was so nice and durable I decided I needed the matching carry on size. This suitcase is so durable and spacious it is perfect. I was reluctant to purchase due to the high price tag but can now confirm it was completely worth it. A friend that owned it told me I would never have to buy another suitcase again and now I know that is true! I do a lot of overseas travel and my luggage gets very beat up (Ive even had to start it to a donkey to get it to the top of a mountain) This fabric and build seems to be made to last and the lifetime warranty is a huge bonus. The water resistant fabric will come in handy at some point I imagine. Could not recommend this enough. Spend the money and view it more as an investment. These suitcases were built to last.

This bag is great to carry me and my boyfriends ski stuff for at least a week. The only issue is the corners are easily dented but with the lifetime warranty it isn't that big of an issue.

I've been thru many bigs and so far this ranks very high...I often run to and from the train during the week and often run between 1 and 3.5 miles per day during the week with the bag rolling behind me....I just got this bag but already put 15 miles of running on in and perhaps another 10 miles of walking...and so far the wheels seem very solid and I like the plastic shell in the back and on the bottom which helps protect the bag. Overall I think its a very solid bag.

Took this on a 10-day trip and the bag was more than spacious enough to accommodate clothes, ultra light jacket, a small umbrella, a tripod, an extra pair of sneakers, and flip flops. There are wire frames inside the bag that take a bit of space. This can slightly reduce the amount of space if you're only packing larger items (e.g. tripod, large packing cubes). The outer material seems really durable and allows for a little bit of expansion. It's a great bag for shorter trips or for those who pack light.

I loved it, very spacious, can get all my stuff to carry on in short trips. Can load more stuff when traveling internationally, so as to get some pounds out of my check in bags. Would recommend for t4aveking. Great wheels and grip.

I love North Face luggage! We have three carry-ons and two larger pieces for longer trips and ski trips with lots of bulky clothing. The zippers are super strong -- we stuff our bags to the brim and we've never had one break. This bag is the perfect carry-on yet so roomy you could fit a week's worth of clothing in it. It's incredibly practical!

You might think this bag is heavy at first, but when I compared it with a similar sized bag that i was replacing due to it coming to it's end of life, I realized it wasn't. It stands up by itself without issue/falling over. It stays open and is laid out well pocketwise.

I use this to haul my kendo equipment to practice and tournaments. So far it has not let me down one bit! I've already had a couple of people ask me about it and where they can find one. This bag has been amazing and I can't wait to use it for flying and/or car trips. I would definitely recommend this to others.

This bag is a terrific gear hauler. Can fit a full size RRS tripod, fluid head, two light stands, a broadcast camera, audio gear and a week's worth of clothes + extra boots. Buying this has been life changing has securely hauling gear through airports, cities and train stations is a huge part of my work. Much more flexible than a full hard case--great to be able to put fragile/sensitive items at bottom of bag and then stuff to capacity.

I bought this particular piece of luggage for my son who is a college student. He travels frequently, either trips home or long weekends with his friends. I chose North Face due to their reputation for stylish, high quality products. The lifetime warranty was also a factor in my choice. We were both pleased.

This year I am planning several overseas trips for extended periods of time. Having the right gear for the adventures is important. I am impressed with the 30" Rolling Thunder's craftmanship built to withstand the rugged conditions of Albania as well as the the many train rides through the Japanese rail systems. The spacious main compartment, as well as the sectionable smaller compartments, facilitate organization. I especially like the re-enforced base of the bag of the bag (upgrade from previous Rolling Thunder series) the adds durability.

This thing is fantastic I bought two of the roughly 6 months ago and have already taken it to Parma, Rome, Dublin, Amsterdam, Bruges and London using public transportation and walking through cobblestone streets and this thing handles it with ease. My family travels with me and my 3 year old sits on the bag as I cart it around I am amazed at how well built and sturdy every aspect of these suit cases is. Absolutely love these they are a bit pricey but well worth the high price tag.

I love this bag. After much debate I finally broke down and bought it. If the price point is the only reason you are debating on buying, I think you should just go for it. I wanted this bag for years before I finally bit the bullet. I do not regret buying nor do I miss the money. I love traveling knowing that all my items are secure. With a lifetime warranty I do no anticipate buying another carryon on for quite some time. Bottom line if you are considering buying this bag, just make it happen. You will not regret it!

I love this suitcase. Very sturdy, rolls around great, and fits perfectly in an overhead bin. *Story Time: My bf and I went to Hawaii for a week and this is the only suitcase I packed for us (I also carried a small bag, but it was mostly for toiletries). After having rolled up all of our clothes and shoes, my bf started to doubt this bag, but when we arrived on the plane and the suitcase fit perfectly into the overhead bin, all my gloating about this bag was on point and well deserved. We are getting a second one for him.

One reviewer gave this bag demerits for having two off-center gripping straps at the opposite end of the bag from the wheels instead of the more common extendable pull-along handle. Although I was a bit concerned about this when I bought it, I quickly got used to it and actually believe it is probably a more durable and lightweight solution for such a large (and potentially very heavy when loaded) bag. Try before you buy if possible, but I think this is a PLUS rather than a minus.

This bag makes airline travel much easier!! This is the maximum size of carry-on allowed on most airlines. Fits easily in the overhead bin of a B737. The wheels & construction of this bag is high-quality! Don't get the 4-wheeled luggage made by other brands... those wheels are bound to break eventually. These red wheels on TNF Rolling Thunder bags are well-built and better protected to withstand harsh conditions and treatment... whether it be airport floors or cobblestone streets! Also, the telescoping carry-handle is very sturdy and can withstand plenty of torque and abuse as you scramble to your next gate. My Personal Travel Tips: 1. Roll all of your clothing garments before packing to maximize storage capacity inside your bag. 2. Pack all TSA-approved liquids in a plastic zip-loc bag last to easily remove at Security Check. 3. Never check-on your bags if you can just do carry-on! I only travel with this bag and a backpack! Combine this light travel bag with your TSA Pre-Check approval, and you'll feel like VIP getting from parking lot to your gate in minimal time. I am considering buying more of this bag in case TNF ever discontinues, I know I'll be set for life. haha
