Great product. Flight attendant career. Lots of storage for smaller carryon bag. Rolls nice and easy through airports. Fits on most planes with ease.

Secret* This bag fits perfectly into the curvature of an overhead bin. In fact, the more you stuff it, the better it fits; wheels in please.

As a business traveler, I travel 6-10 flights / week and this bag is perfect! Packed for a week, it fits in every overhead that Delta has with one exception - CRJ-700 (but they gate check bags for those flights). Some weeks, I travel by plane, train, and on foot (walking from W57th in Manhattan to Penn Station, for example). No matter the mode of travel, the Rolling Thunder 22" performs great.
To gain the maximum use out of any duffel, I recommend getting Eagle Creek's packing cubes for internal organization. For my work travel with the Rolling Thunder 22", I use 2 large cubes and two medium cubes. This leaves me space for a pair of trail running shoes, Chaco sandals, and my dop kit bag (Nalgene TSA Travel Case). Maximize your space even more by rolling your clothes before you pack into the cubes.
Last, on those rare occasions that I check the bag, the topo map and red wheels really stand out on the luggage conveyor.

I purchased 2 of the 36" bags 5 years ago for military deployments, since then they've been dragged around every corner of the earth. They've been to the Middle East, Africa, Europe, as well as around the US. Aside from some rough handling by TSA causing one of the zipper pulls to partially break off, these bags held up perfectly. It came time for my family to make an international move, so I purchased 6 more. All of the bags arrived in perfect condition, to include the few bottles of whiskey I had tucked away. Another huge perk is the waterproofing, our bags were stuck out in the snow for a couple hours, everything inside was completely dry. We also have a few of the carryon sizes for quick weekend trips that work perfect.

Only real issue I had with the bag - and this is super minor - is that the buttons to extend the handle are not easy to press at the same time with 1 hand. Getting on/off shuttle bus, moving from car to hotel, etc with 4 bags between 2 people, I had to stop and press each handle button to extend the handle vs. my normal fluid motion of the ole 1-handed-extend-while-walking. No biggie, but something for NF engineers to possibly consider addressing. That chonky handle is awesome though.

The carry-on size is all the right dimensions for domestic and int'l travel. Still relatively new but it's been out of the country with me and proved sturdy, easily maneuverable, confident inspiring in wet weather, and very attractive. Although it has limited compartments, the ones it does have serve their purpose adequately, and the telescoping handle feels incredibly strong and well made.

I take a couple of international trips each year with my family and this is always the first bag or sometimes the only bag we take. Rugged wheels and bottom frame can take a beating. Being a duffle it doesn't take up too much space when not in use but can get packed out too. We always hang other bags off the lash points and store our luggage scale in the easy-access top pockets. Definitely recommend!

Excelent bag for classic travels or adventures, high capacity and flexible to haul a lot of gear. Well protected from the elements and easy to roll for every almost surface, even better than four wheel bag

Nice and sturdy. Huge capacity. Better than a traditional hard luggage. After the trip, you can fold it up to 1/3 of the original size.

One trip in, super good. What do you want out of luggage? Held everything I needed, the wheels worked. Everything was smooth

Great carry on, fabric allows for more flexibility than the hard cased ones. Strongly Recommend!

This is a great bag for travel, I would recommend. super light weight and fills a ton of stuff. the only draw back is that you have to roll the wheels. It does not sit upright on it's own. (only has 2 wheels not 4)

I travel full time so I needed something rugged. The handle function is on point, space in the main compartment is very roomy compared to other 22" rolling gear bags. I was surprised there was no interior liner. I'm considering replacing the plastic red wheels with rubber inline skate. If it came with rubber wheels and interior liner it would improve the quality of the function.

I have e travelled across the country twice since buying the Rolling Thunder 30" by plane and have done a few road trips with it as well. It has performed very well and has held up to the abuse of travel. I wish it came in black, but at least it is easy to spot at the airport.

This is my fourth piece of North Face rolling luggage, and they continue to impress. I needed something a bit smaller than my 36", so we opted to get the Rolling Thunder 30" in yellow, which is just so fun. These bags are virtually indestructible. Can't recommend them enough!

Well built and perfect size to pack in gear for a longer trip. The yellow gets marked up, but I appreciate the worn look. Inside and outside pockets help organize everything. Typical, heavy duty build quality of TNF bags. Great bag.
