Overall the boots are great. I wanted a pair of proper snow boots, ones with slip resistant soles and these do the job! I've worn them for few weeks now in the snow and ice covered NYC streets and I haven't slipped once. The boots are water resistant, well-insulated, and fits true to size. I had ordered a 1/2 size up based on other reviewers' comments, but I should have just stuck to my true size since these boots do tend to make your feet look bigger than they are (they are bit bulky because of the rubber lined toes and bottoms). They are so well insulated that I don't even have to wear thick socks -- normal socks do just fine and my feet remain warm all day in 10-20 degree F temperature. All in all, I'm pleased with the purchase. I wasn't looking for a super fashionable snow boots and these babies didn't break the bank.

Ordered 1/2 size larger and perfect fit. Easy on and off. Lightweight. Seems like great quality. I haven't tested them in the snow yet. It would be the perfect (lower cost vs. Kamik and Sorel) boot if it had arch support!

I love Columbia boots. I have bought hiking boots that were great out of the box, the "Bugaboot" winter boot and now this Sierra Summette boot. They are warm, comfortable and easy to lace. Zappos customer service is always fantastic!

I bought these boots specifically for Iceland and wore them the entire time I was there. I walked through constant snow and in very cold temperatures. These boots are great! True to size and very comfortable. They also kept my feet very warm. The front part around the toe is a little wide looking style wise, but overall I would recommend these boots.

I ordered a half size larger , knowing I'd be wearing thicker socks and they fit perfectly . They were fantastic in the snow ( 8-10 inches ) And unbelievably comfortable . I wore them all day every day for a week . I love these boots . Comfortably warm but not hot and water resistant . I definitely recommend

I ordered these because they were sold out of the Ice Maiden lace up. One review mentioned ordering two sizes larger. That felt a bit extreme so I went up half a size because generally that's what you do when you order boots you intend to wear thick socks with. My feet were SWIMMING in these. It felt like I was wearing my boyfriends shoes. I'm a true 9.5 but I often wear a 10 and the 10 in these made me feel like I was wearing clown shoes. Get your regular size or size down if you have narrow feet.

I love these boots! I've had them for over a year now and they are still holding up like new! They keep my feet warm and dry, no complaints here.

I ordered these and didn't even try them on my feet once they arrived. The reason was because I did not like the style once I saw them. I'm guessing they will be fine just for causal wear in the snow, but I am looking for something that I will want to wear - even to work if it is that bad out. I am picky. I didn't want to spend too much on snow boots that I will rarely wear, but I returned these and ordered a pair of North Face boots (much more expensive). Oh well! Thanks Zappos for so many options!

Love these boots and love the color. Ordered my shoe size 5.5, but they did not fit my high instep. Will try size 6. Zappos customer service was very helpful.
