I ordered these in a 9, my usual size, and thought they felt too large when I tried them on and walked around the house. So I ordered the 8.5 and realized they were definitely too small, and the 9 was the correct size for me. I got these for a trip to Tromso Norway (within the arctic circle and cold!) and once I put them on with my thick hiking socks, they didn't feel so large after all, and during my trip they were the only pair of shoes I wore so I got used to them. I was SO grateful I'd gotten them, as they managed to keep my feet comfortably warm in sub freezing temps. Even tromping through thick snow, they are waterproof and my feet stayed dry and relatively warm, until we got down to single digits (Farenheit) and I had to add the heating pads. These boots are very comfortable and have pretty good traction. I walked all over Tromso in them, brand new and un-broken in, and my feet never hurt once. They're stylish for snow boots too! Even though I would ideally like them to fit a little bit smaller (lengthwise not toe box/width), they are amazing boots, and a great value at this price.

Great for snowy days. Keeps my feet warm and dry. Lacing only takes a few moments. And I sometimes don't wear socks for a quick walk to the mailbox.

Love these for slogging through snow in the winter. Very comfortable and warm, and the price was right too. I don't think they'd last if I wore them every day, but that's not what I got them for so I'm happy.

This boot is so much more attractive than in the picture. Unfortunately for me it was just too heavy for my fragile feet. So many compliments to Zappos for their great customer service.

So happy when I put them on! Comfortable and feet have stayed dry in the rain and snow. Perfect boot for the Midwest
