What a great purchase!! Was heading north and did not have any cold weather clothes. Got my money's worth. The jacket worked wonderfully for both cold weather (Teens F). Definitely will purchase North Face clothing next time.

Cold wind can easily get in from the lower part of the product, since it does not wrap the waist perfectly.

Beautiful jacket!!!!! Bought as a gift for my husband who is 3X. The XXXL is too small. He can not zip it up. I'm sick. I love North Face and buy items for my niece in Colorado. Other than my husband needs to lose weight I'm open to suggestions........keeping the jacket.....

I bought this Jacket to wear during our Minnesota winter. It works great, keeps me warm even at -5 F. The generously sized zipped pockets are ideal for anything.

Jacket very comfortable and light. I work as valet parking at very cold nights. The jackey keeps me warm, blocks wind entry. Very good jacket. I recommend!

First, I had this Jacket for 2 Years. I'm 6'2 and Athletic Lean Build. I owned a Canada Goose Bomber and OSC Desna. I felt this would be a better review if I have personally used this for 2 Years. I live in Ontario, Canada where windchill got worst for the past 2 years. I have worn this Jacket from -5 C to - 30 C and up to -40 Wind Chill. Jacket is very good in terms of Warmth:Weight. It's very light and keeps you very warm. I got this jacket for 200 and this is a quality jacket. One problem that I chose to buy the OSC Desna is because there is no hood for this Jacket. I was very warm with a fleece underneath at -40 C windchill. However, every part of exposed skin was still very cold, and primary my head/face area is quite exposed even with a scarf and hat. This Jacket is very good for it's price. Again, I purchased amazing jackets at 500-600 dollars, and this Jacket at 250 is totally worth it. I would buy their Nordend Bomber but it was sold out at many locations. If you're looking for a good winter jacket, and you're geared up. This Jacket is amazing for commuting (I commute every day) If you're looking for an extremely versatile jacket. This might not be the cheap $600 jacket alternative. No offense, but if you're expecting an expedition quality jacket, you probably shouldn't be looking at a $200 dollar Jacket. Don't be so cheap and compare it to higher end Jackets. TL/DR: Great Jacket, The North Face produces amazing Jackets at an affordable price.

I really like this jacket. It is warm and very light weight. I have had a lot of compliments. The only thing I am not crazy about is the pockets. They zip up and down. For sizing, if you can, go to a north face store. I had to go to a size bigger than the site recommended. The store did not have my size and had to order it. This was at Christmas time and it only took 2 days. Plus it was free shipment.

I bought a North Face Nuptse about 20 years ago. They haven't changed much. Mine however does have an inside pocket, which it seems a lot of reviewers would like. Even after years of use there is little wear and tear, and it puffs up today just as Michelin Man looking as when new. Great quality 700 goose. There are some 500 goose down Nuptse models I've seen that might not puff up so much if that is your desire. Have also used similar jackets from Eddie Bauer, but their quality seems to have dropped off in recent years unless you buy their very expensive First Ascent line, which most people won't need for average daily use. In extreme cold weather, with a lot of wind, when you put a shell over the jacket, it seems to add about 20 degrees of warmth. There is a hood on mine, under the fat Velcro collar. It's only a thin shell, and I would just wear a hoodie underneath or a ski cap, and leave the thick collar for around the neck warmth. Only drawbacks, on mine, it is easy to get the zippers on the pockets caught in material while trying to zip up. And, being tall, I wish NF would make a version for tall people. I bought a XXL to help with what I think is a little too short length. Mine is red with black shoulders, and it has retained its original color after all these years. I love the North Face logo on the back shoulder. It says quality. And, even though it is a sewn through down jacket, as opposed to box stitch, there never seems to be any cold spots along the seams. Unless of course in a strong wind, but then just add the outer layer shell, that the Nuptse is designed to be used with. And as others have noted, the jacket is very lightweight, and the nylon shell and lining are very comfortable to wear. If you don't mind a puffer jacket, and want about the most stylish of the many made, the Nuptse is one of the best and not as costly as some other well known brands.

I ordered this jacket as a replacement from my previous jacket.. My pro's and con's of this jacket are: Pro's: lightweight, perfect length just at around your waistline area, very convenient storage to store away for non winter season, great padded shoulder area for comfort. Con's: need more color selection to choose from other than black, there are no interior pockets, there are no chest pockets for phones, MP3 players. If the con's can be fixed to make this jacket a much better than it is, that will help a lot of consumers.

This jacket is surprisingly light for its looks, however its very warm, worn with just a light woven sweater or a hoodie as a base layer. A little too simplistic design, no inside pockets for an Ipod or a cell phone. I love those. The collar feels comfly though a little bulky for my taste. Over all its a nice jacket to have, looks cool in black color. People have been giving me compliments already. One thing you will find amazing is when you wear it, it feels amazingly light and fit, giving you a feeling of comfort in a modest simple, street smart way.

The jacket is not a good fit for someone who is 5'11 or above and thin. A large is too large and a medium is small.

I purchased this coat for myself two weeks ago to replace my old winter coat and it's a very nice, lightweight and very warm . The only thing I did not like is that it does not have any pockets inside for yor cell phone or any other electronic device. The only pockets available are the two outside pockets. That's the only drawback I found this far .

Jacket his really warm but my only problem is there`s no media pocket inside , I couldn`t keep it for this reason, I have a 5 inch smart phone and for this reason its impossible to wear a jacket without an inside pocket.
