I have had the Wallaby II for nearly six years now and it has held up wonderfully. As a US Army Soldier I've taken it from Ft. Hood, Texas training sites to Korea, and year long stints in Iraq and Afghanistan. Then there are the dozens of flights and road trips I've taken with this bag always at my side. It's not pristine by any standards but it's never busted and has never been an issue. EC may n

Original Wallaby great for travel. Pockets/compartments good for smaller toiletries/cosmetics. Rolls into fairly compact size for carry on or to go in suitcase.

Like this much better than my other toiletry bag - much more compact and like that it hangs up.

This is a versatile toiletries bag. It is quite roomy, maybe too much at first look. But, what I really like about it is that you can add other things into it if you like, such as vitamins, underwear or swim suits, or travel hair dryer, etc. This makes it great for organizing things you might want in a bathroom during travel.
Easily detachable 3-1-1 bag is nice, it would be cool if there were an external pocket to slip it in while going through the airport.
I don't love the pocket organization. I'm not sure how I would change it, but the 3 open pockets are a bit odd, if you put anything bulky or thick in the main zipper pocket behind them.
I'm a big fan of Eagle Creek bags.

I have used a Wallaby for years and enjoyed it immensely. I would have carried it to my death, but the removable pouch has a waterproof coating that finally begin to flake off onto whatever I carried in it (see attached pic). So, off to the retailer to see what was currently available.
I bought today's version and compared them as I was tranferring items (see pic). The removable pouch is now clear so it can be used for 3-1-1. The hanging hook is now plastic so it might not be as durable as the older metal hanger, but the new one is easier to stow into its loop. What I don't like as well: the pouches in the main compartment do not have as much elastic at the top, so items are more likely to slide out, and in the newer model the pouches are larger, so that is a pro or a con depending on what you want to place in them.
In the new model, the mirror had issues: it was already scratched, and the hook&loop patch on the back had come off. Fortunately for me the old mirror was nearly the same size, so I just swapped them.
All in all, this is still a great product and I look forward to using this one for many years. I will consider buying other Eagle Creek products as well.

I travel frequently. And have been upgrading my luggage, this year. I have moved into the Pack-it system. This is a nice addition to the system. I was using a L.L. Bean, small toiletry bag. And really liked it. But this Wallaby is just a better fit with the Pack-it system.
It's big enough for all your stuff. I only wish it had more compartments, that I'm used to. But that's a personal preference.
It zips quite well. Hangs well. And has enough room for a razor, electric toothbrush, and a small hairdryer. In addition to the usual sized travel items (shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, brush, etc.).
Other than the compartment layout, it's a great kit that's quite useful.
I'd recommend it.

I have the original design Eagle Creek Wallaby and the current design; a review of both designs. The obvious change was moving the stow-away swivel hook to the exterior, in doing so not taking away from interior space of the toiletry bag, it appears to be slightly larger than it's original design. I also like the larger inner removable pouch. I prefer the previous material used as it was more puncture resistant, I believe with the current clear quart size pouch, one must take care not to place any items that may puncture the material as well as around it. With that being said, it would be nice to offer a replacement quart sized 3-1-1 pouch, as I don't believe the pouch will last as long as the toiletry bag.
Other difference is the newer design has a finer mesh compartment from the slightly larger one from the original design. As stated from the other reviewer, the mirror is more secure now.
There is a stiffer collar offered on the mesh top compartment that was missing from the original design. In addition, the placement of the holders. The smaller holders for perhaps trial size toothpaste or toothbrush is now place on the ends of the toiletry bag as oppose to the center of the bag. All in all a nice toiletry bag.

I've had a Wallaby for about ten years. It's been with me for Ocean Racing (Rhode Island - Caribbean - France) besides countless Rockies, Amazon, Sahara trips. It's very practical and I have loved it.

Live the size and quality of the canvas material. I can fit everything in it and the cube shape works well for packing. Love the detachable liquids bag. Worried that the clear plastic on that bag won't last - one trial run of packing and already there's a small hole. Also it arrived dirty.

The fabric of the item was inferior to the one I bought several years ago. Size seemed smaller too. Price was the same.

I have used the Wallaby in its previous iterations for almost thirty years. It is a great product. I am now on my third. The quality and construction are excellent. My only complaint or frustration is with the internal arrangement. Previous Wallaby's had the main storage area attached to the upper zippered pouch. This allowed you to hang the bag on a hook and unzip it without having the stored items fall out. The open pouches are now on the lower half and as a result the items are constantly falling out. It is frustrating enough to prevent me from buying one for my wife. (She'll continue to use the old model.)

This is a high quality product, but it didn't work for me. I gave it three stars because there is nothing wrong with it -- for the right person. Just make sure you check dimensions carefully and look closely at the pictures provided.

I've had the Pack-It Wallaby for almost a year now and have had a few opportunities to use it during travel. Although I can appreciate the quality of the product and its roominess, I feel that this product is more appropriate for travelers who bring a lot of toiletries and/or full-size items. The Wallaby is simply too roomy (is that a thing?) if you're not traveling with full size products or a lot of personal items, ultimately leading to the products slipping and sliding around. If you're a carry-on only, minimalist traveler, try something smaller. If you check bags and bring lots of toiletries or full-size items, this is a great option.

I have loved everything else I've ever bought from Eagle Creek, but this is one area where they need work. The wallaby has been a problem ever since I got it. First one zipper came off...sent it in to be repaired and instead of 2 weeks as promised, it took close to 2 months to put one zipper back on. I no sooner got it back than another zipper came off. I'm a big fan of Eagle Creek normally, but I would buy your bathroom bag elsewhere.

I've had the older version of this item for about 20 years and it has been great! Bought a new one recently and was disappointed to find the quality was not as good. Mainly, what used to be a metal hook is now plastic (I don't see that lasting long). But more disappointing was the placement of the open pouches. Where they used to be at the top teir of the bag, now they are at the center. So if I unzip or rezip the bag WHILE it is hanging, all of my easily accesseble items fall out. Especially inconvenient at a hotel where you might want to close your hanging bag while the room is being cleaned.

I love the durable, lightweight fabric, as well as the generous size. However, the elasticized pockets do NOT keep items in their places. When I get to my destination, most of those items have slipped out and are jumbled around. I find this so annoying I am going to shop for another toiletry kit.

This product is poorly designed. The "middle" three pockets do not hold the products in; when you get to your destination and open it, the products spill out everywhere. While there are other great products from this company, this is not one of them and I would not recommend it. Actually wish I could have my money back.

i dont use this product. its to small. not enough pockets and to small. when i went to the video i thought it would help me understand this product. it did not. woman and men travel differently. at one point the company made 3 sizes. they should have never stopped. ill wait until next year
and pray they will redesign it.
