I just received my boots and couldn't be more happier. After trying out about five different boots,I was just about to give up all hope of finding a stylish wide calf riding boot. I normally wear a size 10 and have a narrow heel and short muscular legs. I saw several reviews that indicated they felt the boot width was narrow and see why now others felt that way so I just went up 1/2 size to a 10.5 The quality of the black leather ones is absolute beautiful. I'm totally in love with these boots!

these boots are exactly what i have been looking for! wide fit for my calf and beautiful leather! only thing i noticed is that they run a little narrow and the leather is a bit stiff around the toe area- but the leather will loosen up with wearing.. a total keeper!

Sam Edelman, Please never stop making these boots! They're amazing. From the color to the fit, to the sexy back zipper, and finally, to the very pleasing clicking noise when I walk, these are the only wide calf boots I'm buying from now on. My feet are on the thin side, so the boots actually feel amazing. Normal width can be too wide for me. So yes, have a care if your feet are wide as these may not be for you.

Great boots! I had read reviews that the foot was narrow on these, but I ordered a medium width anyway, and I don't feel they are narrow at all. I like the height of the boots (hit me just under my knee, and I'm 5'9") and the calf width is just right -- my left calf is an inch wider than my right, and these were perfect! I wore them all day and I felt there was enough support. I would recommend these boots if you're looking for a comfortable, quality boot. Sam Edelman didn't disappoint, as usual!

So far I like these boots. They fit well but they need a little breaking in.

Very prett & super soft. Not for short legs. It hit my hamstring when I sat down.

It's a great boot, but they do run a bit narrow. After a few times wearing them, they did stretch a bit, but still a little snug.

I originally ordered the normal penny boot and it was too tight, so I tried these, there is MUCH more space in the calf. The heel feels very tight at first but within a few hours of wear they foot stretched out beautifully- and they are perfect. Wear them around the house for a bit you will love them. They are a gorgeous classic riding boot

So happy I decided to purchase these boots! I have wide calves and it be a pain to find nice boots that actually fit! I have this beautiful pair I bought from Zappos many years ago, but they no longer sell them anywhere. I wanted a plain a boot as possible (everything seems to have adornments). I read the reviews, I looked at pictures and I kept waiting. Finally, I took the plunge. SO HAPPY! I love these boots. Fit terrifically right out of the box. I decided on the wide calf as well as the wide foot (reviewers mentioned it being narrow). Very satisfied. Ordered my usual size in boots.

Love these boots! Little narrower feeling than others that I've ordered that are marked the same. Simple sleek boot with back zip! Love them wth leggings! Nice dressy finish to them!

I didn't think I had wide calves but I learned the hard way. These are great for my calves and so just below my knew, even at 5'4". The issue is with how narrow they feel in the foot. Even as a medium, it still felt a little snug. I wore them to an evening of sitting and not too much walking so I'll try again and hope the walking breaks them in a little more.

I love these boots. I have a terrible time finding attractive unornamented leather boots to fit my 18" calves, but these look great with dresses and i can just barely get them over a pair of skinny jeans. Compared to my identical black pair, the whiskey seemed unusually narrow at first. From another reviewer's recommendation, i ordered both pair in Wide width even though my feet are normal. I wouldn't have been able to squeeze the whiskey pair on if i hadn't! They've become far more comfortable with a little wear. The leather is handsome and they are much better made than similarly-priced competitors.

I have these in whiskey and absolutely love them! I have wide calves and most boots either do not fit or have so much stretch material that they look odd to me. These are so comfortable that I can wear them all day without any issues at all - and my feet normally hurt by the end of the day. The leather is smooth, soft, and supple. I am now ordering another pair in black!

I ordered both a size 11 and size 12. The 11 fit the best, but definitely needed to be worn around a little to stretch the width. I have worn them to work and received several compliments, they are a classic looking boot with tasteful embellishment. I'm very excited to have these as a staple for my winter footwear collection.

calf is tooooo big

I have been searching for "the perfect boot" since last year. I found one that was beautiful, comfortable but wouldn't zip since I have a athletic leg. These boots are perfect with a dress,leggins. I will be searching for different colors.

So excited to find these boots after YEARS of looking!! I have 16 1/4in calves so finding a beautiful pair of boots is basically impossible... I have plenty of room in the calves for jeans and boot socks if I need it. The only issue I had was finding the right width for my foot. After multiple purchase and returns I finally settled in on the 9W and the fit perfect and are great quality! I'm so excited!! You won't regret getting these!

I love these boots! Fits my 17" calves perfectly! A great fit! There is room for me to wear thin socks plus leggings but if you like thick socks they may feel tight in the footbed, so get a wide if so. I don't want to take off these boots at the end if the day I love them so much! They are soft and keep my feet and legs remarkably warm. If I didn't already have brown boots I would order these in Whiskey.

These boots fit my 17 inch calves very nicely with room to spare. I love the asymmetrical line on the top of the boot. They have been very comfortable to wear from the first day. I wore them for 8 hours on day one and no problems at all. They're warm and stylish. Great buy.

Perfect! I've been looking for the right boot for 2 years and finally found it! I have a wide calf and hate the look of most wide calf boots, but these are perfect. Beautiful smooth, supple leather with that classic burnished toe. Ans so comfortable!
