I have been wearing this exact same shoe for 15 years... same size, same style. The pair I just ordered felt tight across the top of my foot. I figured if I just wore it a while it would loosen up. I have worn for 3 weeks now, with great discomfort, and no loosening. Something is wrong with this shoe! Either they have changed something, or this is a defective pair.

I am so disappointed! I have been wearing dansko narrow clogs for over 15 years, they have been the only shoe that actually fit my feet with good support. I ordered a new pair of the professional black oiled in my usual size, 37N, and they are huge! They do not fit through the midsole, very little arch support, and my heel completely slips out when I try to walk. Dansko has completely changed the last they construct the professional clog on. They are truly terrible.

I have never worn a more uncomfortable shoe. I have no idea what all the hype is about these being amazing. I have flat feet and was hoping for something orthopedic. After 8 hours of standing at work, I was in so much pain! It's unfortunate, because the patent leather style is so cute. But these are going back and I will never buy Dansko again! My arches are aching after wearing these all day.

I have worn danskos, size 39 regular, for TWENTY YEARS, but their recent outsourcing to "Asia" (unspecified nation, probably child labor too) is really apparent. they now are the SUX. the size 39s are now too long and much too tight across the arch, and the leather seems to come a few millimeters further up the foot, so that on the same length of sole, my arch is crushed and my heel no longer moves freely out of the shoe. i took them to a cobbler to have the leather stretched, thinking that maybe i was the problem, and then wore them for a walking weekend in NYC. my podiatrist tells me that i gave myself bone spurs on the top of my arches that weekend. i then tried a size 40, a size 39 wide, a size 40 wide, but can't get a fit like i used to have right out of the box. DO NOT BUY. the capitalists ruined another wonderful thing.

As a health care professional who is on her feet all day, I have repeatedly heard people rave about these shoes for years. My big question after ordering a pair - WHY? These shoes are remarkably heavy. Imagine carrying 2-3 pounds on each foot. The overall fit is snug, especially the overall height at the top band (these and the side left extensive red marks after just a few hours). I had ordered a half size larger but while the length was clearly too long, the height was not. The arch support was also minimal. (As an active young woman who exercises daily, none of these concerns were due to inactivity or having increased edema at any portion of my lower extremities). Thank you.

I agree with the two people above. I was so excited when these came up on my wide shoe search. They wouldn't even go on my foot. So disappointing because I had heard such good things about them. Buyer beware. Wide doesn't really mean wide.

I bought these to replace my Wide Dansko Professional Black clogs that I had for 10 years as one of them started to torn. These are not the same at all. Even though marked Wide, they don't feel like Wide at all. I can't wear these.

I really wanted to like these shoes. I have read over the years that they are very comfortable. I could not get my foot in them I need a comfort shoe because I am a teacher so on my feet and hard surfaces all day. I have Munro which are nice but I wanted other options. I have order SAS and Keen to see how those go. Born also dont work for me. Clarks are hit and miss along with Naturalizer. So my search continues!

I have several pairs of Dansko shoes and love them. My black ones wore out but the new ones, even the wide width, are too narrow.

The heel was too low and loose and the toe bed was too tight. Nice shoes, might work for someone else but, not for me.

I loved the look of my Dansko burnished leather clogs but was constantly twisting my ankle in them. Eventually I fell on my finger and broke it. When my officemate told me the same thing had happened to her while wearing the same clog, holding up a finger that literally twisted at the end joint, I finally gave in and threw them out... but not before I fell again, coming within a few inches of slicing my face on the edge of a dog waste can. Sigh. No more Dansko's for me.

I found my toes pressed uncomfortably up against the toe box. Perhaps a half-size down, or the Medium width (I always order Wide) would have been an improvement? I may try again as I like the look of the clog very much.

I have had 4 different pair of Dansko clogs over the years. They are all size 36. This pair is way too small. They must have changed their sizing because my others still fit.

My heels are far too narrow for this shoe.

NOT like Danskos used to be! i've had a pair for maybe 2 years and only worn them very occasionally, and today the synthetic part of the heel just fell apart! it took maybe 8 years for that to happen on my previous pair. haven't contacted dansko yet, and i didn't get them from zappos. :-(((

These shoes look cute but so so uncomfortable. Total waste of money. Would never buy Dansko again.

So disappointed, going back to work after 14 years, these were always my go to shoes... guess not anymore! I have a very standard size 9 shoe, when I did work I always wore size 39 so I ordered that... didn’t fit, got a 40... didn’t fit, 41 WAY too big. Terrible sizing. Disappointed in the fit these days! Leather and quality look great though...

I've been wearing danskos for years. I know they always take a few days to break in, which has never been an issue in the past. The last two pairs I've gotten have been simply unbearable, though. The pair before my latest purchase never really broke in, and the sides of my pinky toes were squeezed unbearably. I work in a kitchen so I never have a moment to sit down and some days I just couldn't wear them they were so painful. They finally gave a little bit but were never really as good as Danskos I've had in the past. I ordered the "wide" width this latest pair and they are pretty much unbearable. I have to return because I can't work a 12 hour shift with miserable feet and I don't know if they will ever break in. I'm really disappointed because these shoes have been my go to work shoes for almost 20 years.

I’ve worn size 38 for 10 years. This shoe was far too narrow to last a 12 hour shift. I love the looks of them. But I had to return them.

This is not a regular width. It's way too wide. Dansko needs to get their sizing problems straightened out.

These cost a lot. My go to brand for work shoes. However, the color peels of first day I wore them. These are cheaply wrapped vinyl. Not leather. I’m really pissed.

I am returning these because they are not wide enough to accommodate my bunions. I tried to wear them around the house hoping they might stretch out but the only thing that happened were my bunions turned red and were so pull of pain from the tightness of these shoes. I would like to see Dansko's come back with the wool uppers the fabric was forgiving enough that I could wear them. Does any of this feedback ever get back to someone who can do something about it?

These shoes are huge!!! Had to return; narrow is not narrow.

I loooooved these shoes. They are very comfortable and provided great arch support. Unfortunately in my opinion, they are not true to size. I ordered the 35 size, supposedly 4.5/5 in US sizes, but it was too big by about half an inch, and they didn't stay on when I walked. I buy a lot of shoes overseas, mainly Brazil. My shoe size there is 34, and all of my 60+ pairs of American shoes are a size 5. I'm not sure how these shoes can be considered a size 5.
