I normally wear size 37 in 4E width, women's 6.5 4E, or big kid's 5.5 WW. I also have the weird problem that my left foot is nearly a half size larger than my right (most shoes are made either identical sizes, or the right shoe is slightly larger). I ordered Dansko Professionals in size 38 wide. They are quite a bit too long for me, but they are, amazingly, wide enough. The show's instep does touch the top of my foot lightly, but it's not uncomfortable. My foot slips a little bit, but I've been wearing Crocs standard clogs (with holes) for years (because it's been the only show that consistently fits me), so I'm used to my foot moving around inside the shoe. So far I like the Danskos, just started breaking them in. Hopefully they work out long-term. But I'm worried about all the reviews that say they are no longer as durable as in the past.

I ordered both narrow and regular width. Both were similar. I kept the narrow.

Unfortunately, I have very narrow heels. Even after trying two different sizes, and socks of various thickness, I was not able to find a size with a comfortable fit. I would say they are true to fit in length but if you have narrow feet, these are not for you.

I love these shoes! They’re great for errands and work! The toe box is nice and roomy! I’ve worn them several times since they arrived and while they’re great, I have found they’re not good for walking with a bit more speed or distance. Such as when I walk the dog. But they’re great for all day comfort when I’m just “putt’n” around! They’re not showing any signs of wear yet! Not even in the rain!

I’m a 39.5 and 40 was swimming on me almost like clown shoes, a 39 is too small.

These were snug even with with wide. The back part of the heal of the shoe also feels very low. I ordered the next size up and await their arrival to see if they are a better fit.

bought 39 wide and it was smaller and narrower than a previous dansko clog purchased (2017)of the same size.

Always wear these at work

TL;DR: excellent shoes if you get a size that works for you, but torture devices if they're too small. My wife wears Dansko's for work, so I mostly knew what to expect in terms of high quality construction and style. But I didn't realize that their sturdy construction would turn them into a torture device given the wrong fit. I usually wear men's 8.5 Wide or 9 Regular shoes, so I ordered a 42 Wide based on the sizing charts. With those sizes, I could barely shove my feet into the shoes with a shoe horn. When I did, my feet were in pain...until they went numb. There was no way I could wear these long enough for the leather to stretch out, so I had to return them. In terms of fit, the length felt about right, but the Wide size was waaaay too narrow. Usually shoes marked Wide either fit me well or are a little too roomy. These were the opposite. If Dansko offered an Extra Wide option I'd try it. I thought about going with a 43W, but decided I'd try other work shoes first...maybe ones I could try on first.

My foot is slightly wide. Depending on the brand of shoe, I order a wide. I ordered the wide in this shoe and it is still tight.

Finally needed to replace my 1st ever pair of Danskos (purchased 5 years ago) - I ordered my regular size, 38, but went for the wide this time to get more toe room/bunion room, and these accommodated perfectly! Danskos really are an acquired taste--if you are looking for something to be comfortable for lots of walking, these are not your shoes, as they are stiff, like other reviewers state. BUT, if you have plantar fasciitis (like me), these are one of the few shoes where my feet don't ache after a day of standing!

I had to go up a full size because the 38 were too narrow, but the 39 wide are perfect and they are extremely comfortable.

I wear a mens 9 (sometimes 8.5) wide. I ordered a 42 and 43. The 42 was too short and tight given Dansko's sizing recommendation for a pinkie finger space behind your heel. The 43s had one shoe little longer than the other and it isn't my feet. I ordered wide in both and they are adequately wide for me (E to EE width). The one negative is I occasionally roll my heel / ankle given the height and loose heel fit. Luckily I have strong ankles so no injuries (yet...knock on wood).

I ordered my regular size and the shoes felt to be a size larger and wide width instead of regular width. I have ordered this same style before and they fit just right. I am sending this pair back and re-ordering to hopefully get the right fit.

I have worn Dansco shoes for over 17 years, working in a hospital for 12 hour shifts, they have always given me the support I need and way out last any tennis shoe I've ever worn. Although the past 2 pairs I've purchased do not seem to be the quality the ones were from years previous. My recent pairs have peeled and wore much quicker than any of mine from the past. The last pair I purchased were already peeling after 1 month of wear, (2 days a week- worn indoor only). I did contact Zappo's and the customer service was excellent!! They replaced them with a new pair, and hopefully I will have better luck with these!

Although the Danskos feel a little big for me, I like wearing them when I'm on my feet for a long time. I do have to wear thick socks in order for them to fit. Having said that, I like the look of this pair and I like that they seem to keep my feet from hurting when I'm on them a long time.

Really enjoy this newest pair!

I am a size 6 and so I ordered a size 36 but they were very tight. I know these shoes are made to form to your foot but Dansko reccomends a pinkie width between the heel and the back of the shoe and for me there was no space. Also the shoes arrived with lots of scuffs on the toes of the shoes.

I love these shoes, but they are tight across the top of the foot even with the thinnest sock... I ended up with the Cadee instead which is super cute. I wanted to keep these to wear around the house for support (very expensive slippers yes, but my feet always hurt) but sadly, they hurt too much to keep. thank you zappos for the great customer service!

Love dansko clogs for my 12 hr shifts at the hospital. They provide great arch support and are very comfortable. The only issue I have is that the shiny patent does seem to get scuffed up when I'm at work.

Dansko Professionals fit and I like clogs but they are too hard.

The first pair I ordered was the wrong size so when I tried to order a new pair I was charged more? I do like the shoe but dont understand different prices

The fit was wonderful, except—I have very high arches (as well as instep), and the top of the shoe cuts into the top of my arch. I’m wearing them around the house trying to break them in, but they’re still cutting off my circulation after about an hour. Not sure these will work for me.

great shoes if you're on your feet all day. they are true to size and fit...but definitely need to break in to avoid pain on the top of your foot (I use a hair dryer to speed up the process). I've sized up with my other pairs and they've been great. Black is black...they have so many other leather colors/styles I usually go with something else, but they get the job done.

I liked these shoes. I didn’t keep them because I wanted the more dull oiled stain. I’ve had these shoes before (for work). They were great. Every time I went into work I felt great. My head high and my posture straight. That’s what these shoes do. The only reason I gave them 4x’s is because overall they aren’t that cute and the comfort is more rigid then well “comfortable.” But they’re still great. I already got the oiled pair. I may replace them for a backless pair. I plan on wearing these for my commute and running errands.
