They look great--several compliments on these boots within days of first getting them. Required a bit of a breaking in period to truly get them comfortable, but that probably took no more than a few weeks. The one critique I have is that not only is the bottom trim white (which I quite like) but the actual soles are white too, so they start looking filthy pretty fast. They only come in full sizes and run just a titch large, so you're normally a half size, I'd say round down rather than up. I'm normally an 11.5 but the 11s had more than enough room.

Very comfortable. Sole started stiff, loosened up, and these are now my favorite boots to walk long distances in. They look like a cross between sneakers and boots, and the comfort is also in-between, so great product for casual wear.

Great looking shoe for a decent price. Unfortunately are the smallest running shoes ever. I wear a 13 and these were nowhere near that...and they don't make 14.

I love these boots and I get compliments on them all the time. Couldn't be more happy with these. Would totally recommend to anybody.

These are great shoes, I get lots of compliments on them. They are warm, especially when worn with wool socks.

I love these boots. They look fantastic, are really well made, and a super comfortable. As comfortable as any pair of boots that I've ever bought straight out of the box. Plus they're the perfect mix of casual but still nice enough to wear to dinner with the Missus. Love these bad boys.

Love these boots! I needed a new pair of brown boots and decided to try these. Never wore anything by Type Z but so far very impressed. Super comfortable even after wearing for awhile and walking around. Seem well made too. Perfect fit for me.

Got these shoes in on Wednesday, and man did they look sweet! Got a size 11 and it was over an inch too large (I wear a 10.5). Called Zappos the same-day and they sent me a size 10 the very next morning. Incredible customer service. Anyways, the shoes looks freaking sweet. I got compliments on them as soon as I walked out of my dorm! They also broke in very quickly! It took only the walk to the library and back for them to become comfortable. So far I have to say that these Type Z Mercers are fantastic. Time will tell if they are durable though.

I am really satisfied with these shoes. They look great and are quite comfortable. I've worn them daily for about a month or so and they look brand new. I suppose you could get a insert sole if you were looking for more cushion, but I've been fine with the insole that came with the shoes.

I like them a lot. They run a little big, depends on how thick of socks you have on. Good for people with wide feet.

Boot is comfortable and very stylish. Had no problem with laces like previous review. Only con is I wish there was more of a heel on boot.

I wanted a shoe/boot that had a casual look, but would also be work appropriate and the Mercer definitely fits the bill. It's very stylish and goes with almost anything. Comfort-wise, it's lacking, not much support, but it breaks in fast. Overall I'm very satisfied.

Bought these for my husband and he loves them! True to size. He said they were slightly uncomfortable at first, but once broken in, they were fine. The only drawback is that the laces are cheap and started fraying after the first couple of uses, but not the end of the world.

I loved these boots, but unfortunately they were not my size, and there aren't any bigger size. Good luck.

Wasn't really impressed with these boots. I have a pair of Type Z Harvey's in brown that I love, but these are just not as good quality. The laces wore down to almost being cut off by the metal eyelets slicing them up right off the bat. Maybe this pair was just a defective item, but 2 out of the 3 Type Z boots I have ordered were defective so I am starting to doubt the quality of their product. I like the look of them and they might be comfortable after a break in period, but I just don't like the quality enough to keep them for the price on this boot. They fit about a half size small.

Ordered a size 13US and with only wearing a cotton gym sock it was tight on me. Inside the tongue it has size 46EUR to which I am a 48EUR. No good. Sorry they don't fit. Pretty nice lookin' boot.

These boots are deceivingly poor quality. The leather gets all warped and wrinkled after a small amount of splashing while walking in rain. I even conditioned the leather with mink oil to protect them. Also the stitching around the perimeter of the sole is fake. The leather upper is just glued to the sole like a cheap pair of shoes. This gap between the stitching and upper gets bigger with wear and will collect snow and water making your feet wet. After only three months of wearing them in the Wisconsin winter as too and from the office boots they look nothing like when I bought them. I will now be throwing them in the trash. Do not be fooled by these high quality imposters.

Cheap and shoddily made—I've had this shoe for less than two months and the lining attaching the soul to the rest of the shoe has already began to break off and for some inexplicable reason, getting the front toe even slightly wet results in soggy feet. The boot is also unwarrantedly difficult to actually put on…I practically have to take the laces off just to get my foot past the opening (the rest of the boot fits correctly).
