I am a loyal NB customer as a result of the excellent customer service and the fact that all shoes come in wide widths. For a few years I have been buying size 10 4E and that is the size that I ordered the 877. This shoe runs wide. The 4E was much too wide or me to wear so I had to return. When I tried to order the 2E they were out of that size so I selected a different shoe which I am still waiting to receive. This is not a complaint, just an FYI to anyone ordering this shoe.

I try to walk a lot. And these shoes are comfortable and support my feet well.

Only had the shoes for a week so not sure how well they hold up but the fit is spot on for a size 11 M.

I've used these for a few weeks and the fit and comfort work for me. The main problem I had were the laces. Each lace was about 56 inches (142 cm) long. The laces would get under the shoes and come undone when walking around even the house. I bought some shorter 45 inch (114 cm) ones and haven't had trouble since. Summary: Minus one star for the long laces, but still a good pair of shoes.

I like the fit. If you wear a size 10, order a 1/ 1/2. I don't think the soles are the softest, but I like the fit.

Overall a very good walking shoe. It's attractive and well-padded. My only complaint is that because of the SQUARE toe box and the heel design the shoe, even in its narrowest available width, may be somewhat wide for some users. But a good value compared to Performance walkers offered by LL Bean.

Plenty of toe room and has a comfortable secure fit. The shoes don't slip. After several miles of walking, my feet felt wonderful with no irritation, e.g. blisters or rub spots.

These may be the most comfortable walking shoes I have found to date. I have been wearing them on my morning walks of 2-3 miles a day for two weeks now, and I have found them very comfortable. My only minor complaint is that the insole material seems to be a magnet for debris. Any dirt, grass and other things tend to stick to the insole, and it's difficult to clean out. I also wish they came in other colors rather than just gray.

shoes are very comfortable out of the box. i usually order size 13 for new balance shoes, returned them for my usual size 12.

I bought these shoes for my husband to replace some very sturdy New Balance Shoes he loved. Those shoes had the slightly round Sketcher type sole, that did not work very well. The new shoes have a fairly wide toe box and the leather is softer than his older shoes, so they are not as sturdy. They are fairly comfortable, but he does not want another pair like these. We will have to keep looking for some New Balance shoes that are a little sturdier.

Shoes are great for walking, sole can be a little slippery with small amount of moisture on surface. Additional padding or arch support would be appreciated, but overall a fairly good pair.

I did follow other's recommendations in the reviews, and buy a 1/2 size bigger, which is correct. They fit ok on the length of bottom, and width. Because they're a little big on top, I have to lace up tightly to keep them from sliding around on top. I walk 3.3 miles 4x week in them, but will not be purchasing again. Too complicated a purchase..
