I have an 11 1/2 foot, bought a size 12 wide, and they fit very well, very comfortable for walking. However, as others have mentioned, the tongues are too short, and the laces are ridiculously long. Do your designers ever try their shoes on?

I always have trouble buying shoes. I'm usually a 9.5 4E, but occasionally wide works. These look like comfortable shoes. I've ordered a 10 W but it's on back-order. We'll see. As for the 9.5 W, they were too narrow and also felt a bit short in the toe. Someone in a review mentioned ordering a size up. I hope they are right.

It's the same shoe I have been wearing for over 5 years it fits and it wears ok I need more arch support and this has most of it I usually remove the insert and put a Powerstep pro step full length support in it.

The shoe is like a low-cut hiking shoe but with a smooth bottom instead of a rugged tread. I am wearing it most of the time because I like the foot support even though it is a little heavier than I would like. It works well on our park paths around here as well as when shopping at stores. I think this pair will last a long time.

I ordered and received Size 13- Wide these NB Walking Shoes. When I first tried them on out of the box I wasn't wearing socks. They were perfect, maybe too perfect. The next time I put them on with socks they were very tight. I can only hope they will stretch a little for better comfort.

You won't love them, but you'll like them. Ordering a half size up is spot on. Look like they'll hold up for a while.

Some of the most comfortable shoes for walking that I have had. Only negative is that the tongue is too short, wants to slip down in the shoe when walking. It could be my foot shape, but that is not a deal breaker. Shoes are like walking on air.

I like this shoe, I just wish I could like it more. It's the best compromise I can find in a New Balance product for my personal gym training sessions. I'm accustomed to workout shoes that have the extra rib right down the middle of the top above my toes. However, having said this, they ARE a comfortable shoe, and my trainer commented almost immediately upon my start of wearing them that she noted an extra spring in my Box & Platform Jumps. I attribute this to the fact they're very lightweight, and maybe that's the reason for my above comments - I'm not accustomed to something so lightweight yet comfortable. I'm a 66-years-young guy who likes to show that I refuse to act my age, like the other Senior Citizens in our gym.

Too wide for my D foot. Other than that, not bad. Not sure they are worth the money I paid.

The shoes have the style I was looking for and fit well. I need them to be loose because of arthritis in my feet and they feel good!

After resizing to 11.5 shoe, it fit well. However, the tongue on these shoes are entirely too short. When I lace them up to the last hole, the strings fall over onto my socks and ankle. Whether a design or manufacturing issue, these shoes are unacceptable.

Very comfortable walking shoe. Maybe the best I've had. One drawback which could be improved upon is that the tongues are too short. The tend to work down the foot when walking. It is annoying to have to untie and pull back up. Otherwise, typical New Balance comfort and fit.

L L Bean says assembled in USA but shoes say Made in Vietnam. Even so, they were very good for my first 3 mile walk. Wish they were made in America.

Chose these New Balance 877 because the New Balance 990 are now $185.There is a definite difference but the 877 is adequate for my needs these days as a walking shoe, I'm happy. The toe is a bit wide looking, but comfy.

I bought this product to get a shoe that allows for fast walks of 2-4 miles. I'm talking a 12 to 14 minute pace to get cardio up without the pounding on the knees from jogging/running. The sole just doesn't have the support/cushion needed for such fast walking. I am using it for day-to-day walking and for walking the dog 1 1/2 to 2 miles and it is great for that. At the 6 week point, I'd recommend it.

I walk two to three miles for exercise on most days, usually on sidewalks and streets. I bought these to replace a pair of Fresh Foam 1365s that I liked very much and had been wearing for about 7 months, including about two months indoors on a track. I had to watch the website and wait for quite a while because the 877 in my size was out of stock. I liked the combination of mesh and suede. The shoe seems to be well made. I bought the same size as my former 1365s, but the 877 seems just a bit shorter in length and definitely heavier. I will experiment with different insoles, because the ones that came with the 877 pair do not seem to support my foot as needed in the arch area. The whole shoe is not as comfortable as the 1365s were right out of the box, but I'm willing to give them a little time as I adjust. If they don't loosen up a bit, I'm sure I won't use them as long as I did the 1365 pair.

I just purchased the 877 for walking purposes...I walk...on average 20 miles a week. When I received my 877s...tried them on and noticed they fit true to size, plenty of toe room and a well made shoe. Then I walked around the house in my new shoes and noticed the shoe liner did not provide a comfortable feeling, basically they are to thin and this takes away from the intended comfort. I took a pair of Dr. Scholl's heavy duty liners, from an old pair of walking shoes...took out the original liners...inserted DSs liners and what a difference in feel and comfort. Very surprised NB uses such a poor quality of shoe insert.
