Really wanted to love this shoe, but even in the wide it was too narrow. I got a 1/2 size bigger and still wasn't big enough. After wearing a couple of hours, my left toes were hurting. I didn't wear them for a couple of days thinking it was my socks or something. When I let my foot feel better and started wearing them again, I realized my left toes were extremely cramped. Not sure if I should size up a whole size because then they get sloppy. My right foot was no problem and comfy, I am not sure it is the shoes or me. I love the toe box, not sure why running/walking shoes should ever be pointy. I normally wear a 9-9 1/2. Weird sizing on athletic shoes lately. Would love to find a pair of walking shoes that were comfortable.

Was a Nike free fan but my knees and ankles hurt when I started running. Not anymore with these. Did some research on which type of shoe to use and got these. No pain at all and they are light and the toe box is roomy. Sturdy shoe that bends in the right places. Shipping always excellent. Very satisfied with my purchase.

I really wanted this shoe to fit. It is very attractive, especially on my large size 11 foot. I ordered a 11 1/2 and a 12. However, my toe kept hitting into the front of the shoe. Not something I want to contend with on a long walk.

Nice fit through the arch, lightweight, roomy toe box. Mesh is fairly tight but still breathable. I use them for walking hills and they provide good support & stability.

This is the first pair of Asics I've purchased, and I couldn't be more pleased. Sturdy, comfortable and stylish shoe. I would buy this brand and type again. I wear mine for walking, not running, great support and comfort.

After reading the reviews I ordered these shoes half a size larger. I have wide feet and I was worried that they would be too tight. Let me tell you these shoes fit great! They provide great support and a nice spring as I walk. I will be running my second organized 5k next weekend and cannot wait to see how they work out. I love the violet/purple color. They really pop and are a lot of fun. This is my second pair of Asics and I love these shoes.

I love the fun colors on this shoe. However, the fit is slightly smaller than previous versions of ASICS Gel-Cumulus that I have owned- size up if in between sizes!

I just got these in the mail today as a gift; black, size 8. They look really nice, feel durable, are lightweight, and comfortable, but they run small. I am a solid 8 in sneakers and my big toe hits the front of the shoe when these are on, without socks. Size up at least half a size; if you wear really thick socks maybe even a full size.

I have gotten Asics in the past and always been pleased. This pair, however, seemed to be tighter in the width than previous pairs. I also noticed the shoestrings were much shorter than previous pairs. On the plus, they provide a nice cushion when exercising.

I usually have a hard time finding a shoe that isn't painful for me, but these are pretty great and are probably as good as it gets. The price is worth it and there's pretty decent arch support with these. I order running shoes a size up so I'm going to say they are true to size.

Lots of compliments on the look of this shoe. Comfortable at first but if you have any issues with plantar fasciitis or arch problems, this shoe may make your problems worse as it did mine and my daughter's.

These were very comfortable and well-cushioned. The run small, so I ordered up a half size. One of the few shoes that is a true narrow. It would be wonderful if there were more color options in the narrow width.

I am a letter carrier for the US Postal Service. My route is a walking route and it's right at about 8 or 8.5 miles. I go through lots of shoes and have tried many too! These are the most comfortable because they have a lot of cushion so they are squishy feeling. You get that bounce when you walk. They are also made of mesh so they keep your feet nice a cool. However, they are slightly more narrow and almost a full size too small. I always upsize but these fit very tightly and my toes are to the very tip. I usually wear a 6.5 or 7 in most shoes. Usually a 7 is my upsizing and gives me the extra breathing room. In these shoes I should have got a 7.5. I had to let out the shoes strings almost all the way to make it comfortable. These are also the only shoes that ever gave me a blister. On the back where it pads your Achilles tendon, it does rub enough to bother me. I ended up wearing higher socks to block it from rubbing my skin raw. I still recommend them highly, especially if you need black shoes as I am required, but suggest you upsize a half to a full size for more toe room. If you are used to Nike sizing, these are similar.

Really liked the look and feel of these shoes. However, I am a true size 8 -- and my toes touched the end of these shoes. They definitely run small!

I was really hoping these would work for me as I have worn the Gel Nimbus 13 - 15. Sadly, even after changing the laces, they made my toes numb and rubbed the back of my feet raw.

Unfortunately, the 9.5 is too tight, and the 10 is a bit too big...not sure what happened to ASICS sizing. I've worn a 9.5 2A in ASICS forever, but now they are too tight. Really bummed out because these are super comfortable (aside from the length) and now I'm going to need to look elsewhere for new sneakers.

These seem to run a little wide/large compared to when I bought them the last time. I'd say 1/2 size large. And I have a wide foot, which is why I'm drawn to Asics generally.

I have run in Gel-Cumulus shoes for the past 20 years, simply buying the next pair when the current one wears out. Sadly, with the Gel-Cumulus 16, this is the first time I've had anything other than a perfect fit. They clearly changed the shape of the shoe for some reason; my size 10 that I always get are also too short and pinch my toes. Bummer!

These are nice looking shoes. They are very light, and comfortable but not as comfortable as the Kayano or Nimbus. They do not seem to have the same amount of cushioning.

The shoe is narrow in the foot but wide in the heel. It is wearing a bad callous on my heel in an area I never get callouses.

I did not care for these shoes. I just retired a pair of Asics Gel-Kinsei and I loved them, so I wanted to give these a try based on the excellent reviews. They definitely have excellent padding, but it's so over the top that I had to tie them so tight just so my foot wouldn't slip on the back from moving up and down with all the padding. Then that was uncomfortable on the top of my foot because they were tied so tight. Also, I did not like their look. They had much more teal on them than it looked like in the picture, and I'm not a huge fan but I thought I could deal with it. Overall, disappointed. I'll be exchanging them.

I've worn this shoe for a while now for running between 18-27 miles per week. This was my 3rd pair. I found that the new version is at least half a size smaller than the old version. I even went into my local running shop to try them on and ended up walking out with one of the older versions because it fit completely differently than the newer version that I ordered from here (I tried on both the new and the old version at the shop). The Onyx/Beach Glass/Purple and Violet/Purple/Multi are new(er). The other two, white/black/hot pink and turquoise/sharp green/navy, are the older colors.

The cushioning in this running shoe is good, but in their attempt to make a roomy toe box, Asics has made the Gel-Cumulus 16 much too wide in the fore foot. Even with my heel locked in place, the front of my foot is able to shift left and right by more than half an inch-- and I don't have narrow feet. Also, the snazzy rainbow laces are too short and don't have enough length to double-knot the laces, especially if you use the top-most lacing hole.

I loved my Asics Gel-Nimbus 13's, so I was nervous about getting new running sneakers with enough cushion. I chose the Gel-Cumulus 16's because the color choices were better and it was described as offering the cushion and stability that I needed. The toe is more rounded than my previous Asics, there is plenty of cushion on the heel but I would have preferred more cushioning on the balls of my feet. I typically run around ten miles per week, this sneaker didn't need time to be broken in and I experienced mild knee discomfort but that went away after the first week. I assume it was my legs adjusting to the new sneakers, overall good sneaker and I'd still recommend Asics.

I bought this running shoe as a light-weight alternative to the leather Asics walking shoe. I'm no longer a runner, but needed a light weight shoe for walking a marathon. I'm just a little disappointed because I can feel no difference between the heavier leather walking shoe and this running shoe. I won't buy it again.
