This exact same number (990) in the regular New Balance line is my perfect sneaker, so I was excited to see this slip-on style. (I'm pregnant, and know lacing up is going to get really hard around month 8) However, the top/tongue area is very stiff and inflexible. I couldn't even squeeze my toes fully into the toe box before my (wide and thick) arch started to complain. I can't recommend this style for folks who need to be able to adjust the size over the top of their arches. (Still love the regular 990 and New Balance in general.)

These run wide. I sometimes wear medium and have had other styles from New Balance that were too narrow in medium. I will probably wear these with heavy socks. Note to New Balance: please be consistent!

I needed shoes that would give me the support of a tennis shoe and yest I could take them off easily. These shoes are great for my need. I do wish they laced up for I could adjust them to be even better.

Love these shoes! I have sweaty feet and prefer slides to keep my feet cooler? I can do almost anything in these that I can do in full sneakers. In contrast to my previous NB slides, these are light weight. They also have a high toe box so if your foot is a little wider (C), buy the M width. They are true-to-size. So happy I found these. These shoes were exactly what I was looking for---easy on/easy off when leaving the pool. Nice enough to wear with jeans and sooooo comfortable!!!

I just ordered my third pair, these are my everyday shoes. I have knee issues and I find that these give me better support than the Easy Spirit version that I had purchased before. These cost more but are worth the difference in cushion and support.

I love these shoes and so did lots others because I ordered the usual wide and found them very generous so needed to exchange for a medium width and now they are all sold out!!! So disappointed!!! Just what I wanted!

I have plantar fascia (sp?)and all shoes must fit right and have great support. These sneakers felt wonderful the first time I put them on and I may not even need to put my orthotics in them!

I needed a shoe for arthritic feet. A blog recommended the NB 990. They help my feet feel better. They are a little pricey but they do help me feel less pain.

These are so cheerful and fun to wear around the house, which was my main goal, I decided to pick up a couple more pairs. I bought the black to wear went out running errands casually. I had an unexpected visitor last week, so slipped on this pair before walking out the door! I walked through the entire Farmers Market, and shopping outdoors and felt I was walking on clouds all day. There was no breaking in, there was no problem, but great comfort and excellent support. I now have two pairs of watermelon and one black pair. Hopefully they will get more colors in my size. If you need a good support, and want the ultimate in comfort, I can recommend these unreservedly! If you have any knee issues, or physical disabilities, and want some good support whether in your house trying to do housework, or out with errands, or walking around the block, these shoes will take good care of you!

So comfortable I am using in the house. Run large. I got 12 w and could have used 11.5B. I got a pair for another family member as well.

Wanted a comfortable slip on shoe to wear around the house and in which to run casual errands. These shoes fit that bill. Took a half size smaller than my regular shoe size.

I'm always hesitant to buy shoes online. But with Zappos shipping policy, I decided to give it a try. These shoes are true to size and are very comfortable. I wear them all day. Plan to buy another pair in a different color.

I need support for my legs and back all the time, but I hate to be tying laces all the time just to work around the house. These shoes have very good standing support. The slip on style makes them feel a little big but they do run true to size. Full toe area for those who need more room. Bought the bright color to perk up my attitude during the dark months of the Western WA! Grey was pretty too.

I've owned a pair of these before and wore them into the ground. I replaced them now as I am dealing with an injury that requires open-backed shoes and wanted something that I could wear like a running shoe for dog walking and longer walks. New Balance does not disappoint! I tried the 8medium width and while the width seemed ok the narrower shoe put too much pressure on my high arch and against the top of my foot so I kept the 7 1/2 W instead. Great shoe!

Loved this shoe! Been trying to find it for a long time. So comfortable - fits well and easy to slide on and off. Just the thing for my life.

I ordered this shoe because it has a removable insert so I could put in my custom orthotics. It's really comfortable and required no break in period. One of the things I really like about it is the back heel cup is deep enough that the shoe doesn't come off when you're walking. I like slip on shoes, but many of them require gripping them with your toes to keep them on or they fly off. These shoes don't do that. And I think they look great too! I need a wide toe with a narrow heel and these shoes fit perfect. I'm very happy with my purchase.

New Balance has been my choice for many years. The fit is always perfect. The product is outstanding and wears well for years!

Love the ease and comfort in a shoe that's from my favorite shoe maker and my favorite shoe seller. My only complaint: I want a wider selection of colors.

I initially bought these in a 10W, my usual size. They were way too big, so I returned them for a 9W. I had to remove the insoles for a comfortable fit.

So comfortable; snug and stay on my feet. Had an older version of this shoe that I wore for several years. Fit is narrow which is perfect for me but may not be for you.
