Finn Comfort makes exceptional foot wear with a supportive footbed. I have a few different styles, all size 39 EU, I wear size 8.5 US (sometimes 8 US), medium width. I have found Mephisto runs a little narrow for me. This shoe is a little clunky looking but I love it! Taking to Japan and will be doing lots of walking. Don't know if I will wear them with a skirt. My husband has numerous styles of Finn Comfort, basically all he wears.

This is the second pair of Finn shoes I bought within the past 2 months. They have a great non-slip, shock absorbing sole. I hate having cramped toes and enjoy the roomy feel of the medium width. A quality shoe with great arch supports. Kind of ugly, but the fit is worth it.

I just walked all over Europe in these. I need a really wide shoe because of an injury. They worked great. Only thing is, they are so ugly. I'd have liked something more fashionable, but alas, I did last longer than any one in my group. Hurray for me.

I like Finn shoes, but the higher heel and the narrow base on the sole causes me to repeatedly turn my ankles. Lovely shoe, but the base of the sole is way too narrow and therefore, unstable for me!

I tried the Quebec, which is almost a closed toe version of the Funen. It was comfortable, but incredibly ugly, masculine looking and still had wholes you could see your socks through (not very flattering). These are much, much nicer, even though they remind me of what my grandmother used to wear... Worth it because they are so comfortable and help with my plantar fasciitis.

Love the funky chic look. Too soon yet to know if it will work out for me but my orthotics fit in like a dream. If they turn out to be comfortable they will be a so versatile! Thanks.

I did not want a black sandal. I do like Finn shoes, and I also wanted a fisherman-type sandal. I wore these with pants for the early part of the summer. With the August heat, I stated wearing these with skirts. They were comfortable; weirdly stylish. I would like to see these in a lighter shade.

I love this shoe. It is one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever had. My shoe size is 7 1/2 and the UK size 5 in this shoe fits me perfectly. I really like that it is so adjustable, it makes it easy to fit this shoe to your foot. I have been having problems with heel pain and was told that I have a collapsing arch and to find a shoe with good arch support. I found the Finn Comfort shoes and they work for me.

I hunted for and purchased this sandal last year before it was offered by Zappos, but I want to say how great it is. My feet are too wide for Finn Comfort's closed shoes, but this style has two adjustable straps in the front. Of my 8 pairs of Finn Comfort sandals, this is my favorite. The higher heel is dressier making it more appropriate for wearing more places, and with skirts. It is very comfortable for a lot of walking. With the British sizing, I went down one size at the recommendation of the Finn Comfort company sales rep. I hope this sandal will be offered in another color such as navy or tan, in the future. This sandal is worth the investment; I highly recommend it.

I was so hopeful that these would fit but did not. I had tried another Finn Comfort style in a 10.5 and it was too short so I got the 11 in this style but the shoe was too wide and too long. Very nice supple black leather with adjustable straps. I have B width fore foot but narrow heel. Even with adjusting the straps the forefoot was a bit wide. I think the 10.5 would have been perfect but sadly it was not available.

Sadly, I am now limited to shoes that 1) allow me to use my custom orthotics, 2) have a closed back, and 3) tight straps over the instep for maximum stability. I have a pair of Finns that I like very much. Sadly, I find this shoe just too unattractive. The black looks way to matronly. Would probably work in a more casual color and material.

This is a wonderfully comfortable walking shoe, but I did not love the look of it. If you have a larger foot like I do (42-43, or 11.5-12 women's), it looks very dark and large and wide. If looks are not concerning for you, then it's a great shoe.

I ordered these here in black here at Zappos. I already had the silver ones that I got months ago. It appears that the black ones are greater than a whole size too large.

Was hoping for clunky cute but they just look clunky. Ordered Medium width but Wide arrived so not sure about fit or comfort.

I am not in the same camp as the customers who give high ratings to this shoe. I'm returning them. In my opinion, the flesh-colored insoles look dreadful peeking through when one is wearing black tights (which is how I prefer to wear such shoes). I found them incredibly stiff and uncomfortable. They did not fit properly -- I perhaps that's because I always wear US 7-1/2 Medium and these are in European sizes. My conclusion: you can get a better value with the SAS fisherman sandal... no great beauty but very, very comfortable. And they look more than OK with the aforementioned black tights.
