I have several pairs of Ugg boots, but this was my first pair of essentials. They felt very cheap and thin. Reminded me of "fuggs" that would get at a store like Target. The Classics and Bailey Buttons I also ordered were much higher quality.

I ordered a pair of these for my daughter for Christmas. I should add that she had an older pair of the Ugg's "Classic" and loved them. She wanted a new pair and indicated to me that she would like the Ugg "Essential" boot instead because it was supposed to have a better sole for winter weather. She only wore them for a short time and told me they weren't nearly as warm as her old pair, and in fact she had gone back to wearing her old pair. I was not happy having spent this much on a pair of boots that now were not being worn. To make a long story short, I called Customer Service and they were very understanding and accommodating. I do want to clarify that the Ugg's "Classic" is a wonderful pair of boots; I have a pair myself and they are so warm and I will endorse them in a heartbeat. They are also cheaper. Don't waste your money on the Essential, get the Classic!

Huge disappointment! What a cheaply made boot. Had them for a month and have worn them a handful of times....and the outer sole has a small whole already on the top. Cheap! I had Uggs for years, never had that happen! Stay away from these.

These run a bit big, so order one size down from what you normally wear and they will fit perfect. I normally wear a size 7 and ordered a size 6 and they fit great. Love the tread, it works great in moderate snow. Only thing they are missing is a bit of arch support and a thicker sole. Plush interior is super soft.

Great. Same as the classic/OG tall version but just with a chunkier bottom so they won’t be a slippery (OG’s are very slick!). I was concerned about how they look compared to the OG but the bottom is not as dramatic as you’d think IMO (see pics)

I have had my Ugg Essential boots since 2006. That's right, eight years. While I cannot testify as to how the boots are currently made, I have been very pleased with them. They were my first of many purchases from Zappos. For me, they ran large. I typically wear an 8 and my boots fit just right in a 7. I have athletic calves and have no problem wearing these over jeans. They have held up extremely well. I do shampoo after every winter and then waterproof them before I wear them the next year. The soles are still toothy and have good tread. Part of the stitching is coming undone, but I will likely take them to a cobbler to be repaired instead of replacing. I did replace the insoles with new Ugg insoles twice over the years. Overall, they have been great boots.

Love the bottom of these ones, not as slick as the other kind. They run very big though. I wear a 7 in my other 2 pair of uggs and this 7 was huge, I had to return them for a 6 and its heal to toe, but still comfy they will be perfect after a couple times of wearing them. I found out the hard way, DON'T spot clean them it makes it look worse wait and wash the whole boot and when they dry they look like new again.

This boot is tight. I read the reviews and I don't agree with the suggestion to order a little smaller. Order your true size. Very tight around ankle stitch and I am thin.

These boots have the comfort and style typical of UGG boots. I love the height of this boot—not so short that the leg proportion becomes unflattering (by cutting off at the ankles) and tall enough to keep the calves cozy. The sole is shaped much differently than the Classic (sorta reminiscent of Legis), but I hope it adds to the functionality during cold weather. Will spray with a suede protector for more water and stain resistance—just in case. Great price on Zappos. Can’t go wrong with these. I recommend.

These boots were for my granddaughter, she loves them! We sprayed them with a suede protector and she wears them daily. True to size!

This is my third pair of UGG boots and by far they not up to the standard of quality of the 2 pairs I already own. In fact, they are made in China!!! My first pair were made in New Zealand. This boot feels more like a faux UGG you might find at a Target or Walmart. Will probably be sending them back which makes me a little annoyed and saddened that you can't even rely on quality from a well known company such as this.

This is my first pair of uggs and I am in love. I wanted a slip on boot and these are perfect. They are so soft and the colour is true.

Love it .. my third pair from Zappos...
