Very happy with this shoe. After long walks and being on my feet a lot, these zero drop Altra's have helped alleviate discomfort in my knees. Highly recommend giving these a try.

These are amazing shoes - I have been suffering heel and Achilles arch discomfort, toe pain, plantar fasciitis etc, for nearly a decade and I took the Superior for the road and Altra Lone Peak off road and off road and I went forever - I found out that I did not need any heel raise. I am impressed as well and happy for the colors, toned down a bit, friendlier than the neon pink orange in other models. Great buy for the money and I will stack up a few pairs to ensure that I do not run out.

I purchased these hoping to alleviate knee pain. I usually run with knee braces. I have run two 5k's without braces and my knees were fine and no hint of foot pain. But my ankles have been sore. I cannot say it is because of the shoes and I will continue to wear these for running. We are planning in a few 10k's soon. Yes I recommend these for my not so girly Fred Flintstone feet.

LOVE these shoes! I have had a pair of Altras in the past and loved those, but that style is no longer available. I tried one of the 2.0 styles, but that was too much sole for me. These are great and actually very stylish! Warning about sizing, I normally wear an 8.5-9 and I have to get Altra shoes in a 10. I would try any shoe by Altra on in the store before buying online to know your size in their line.

I own several pairs of Altra's and... well... I find myself wearing these almost constantly. Although they are a "trail" shoe, I actually totally LOVE these for cross training. (Weight lifting, insanity/boot camp classes, plyometrics, and sprints). They have a light amount of cushion (you don't need a ton when you're cross training) and the fact that they are a trail shoe means that the shoe has plenty of lateral (side to side) stability. The grip on the outsole isn't too aggressive so I feel completely stable on indoor surfaces. The foot-shaped toe box allows me to use my toes to stabilize better, and the ZeroDrop allows me to use better form in lower body exercises. (Literally saves my knees!) Plus they're just so dang cute. They may feel too wide in the toe box at first but that's how they're supposed to fit. My toes appreciate the freedom.

So happy I found these shoes. Had to get 1/2 size larger because my toes hit the end of the shoe. But was looking for some shoes for the gym that would actually let my toes fall in their natural position. Problem with Morton's Neuroma even though I always wear sensible shoes - ugh! Hopefully these will help.

These are great!
My first pair, and I don't think will be my last.
They have a very roomy toe box, and surprisingly a lot of cushion and support. So happy with my purchase!

After being diagnosed with Tailor's bunion, I ordered the Altra Zero Drop running shoe. This has ample toe box room and does not irritate the bunion. Thanks for carrying this show Zappos!

These shoes fit great! I run a lot on trails and hills. I really like that the toe box is bigger. I have had problems in the past with not enough space in the toe box making my runs uncomfortable. I also don't want my toes to bang against the shoe when I'm running. These are perfect! The Altra Superior 1.5 Zero drop's are comfortable and fit great! I highly recommend.

I have tried many shoes and had a difficult finding a pair that was comfortable. These felt good the minute I put them on. Wide toe box, lightweight, and great arch support as I have very high arches. I have two pair (different colors). Love these shoes. I use them for aerobics.

Love these. Had the original Superiors and loved them, so I gave these a try. Styling is very different, but I like it a lot. Fit is also different. I was an 11 in the Superior and only needed a 10.5 in the Superior 1.5. Nice wide toe box, zero drop with a little cushioning, work with my custom orthotics. Altra has really helped my plantar fasciitis. Have several models but Superior is probably my favorite.

I was so excited when I first tried these on. After exchanging many pairs of running shoes trying to get a good fit (thanks to Zappos), I thought this was finally my dream shoe-wide toe box, narrow heel, narrow enough in the instep, arch in the right place, shaped exactly like my foot (very wide forefront, spread toes, low volume, narrow heel imagine a Birkenstock sandal shape, the only shoe that's comfortable for me). I've been so annoyed that many running shoe companies have gone to quite tapered toes which are impossible for my foot. I used to wear New Balance wide, had to stop when they changed their fit, then Asics wide but they started making their toe boxes too tapered. (I mean, really, comfort is more important than current fashion especially in running or walking shoes!) Also often for me, even wide shoes can be too narrow in the forefront while too wide in the heel. And then those stupid tapered toes. Anyway, unfortunately my dream shoes turned out not to work after having them on for awhile. Fit perfectly in terms of shoe shape and length is great (though I had to go up 1/2 size from my normal running shoe), but there is a weird ridge on the inside top of the shoes (across the first set of eyelets), worse on the left in the pair I got. It presses terribly on the top of my foot there to the point of pain. I see that another reviewer has noted something about it (assuming this is what she meant in her review). So disappointed. I was all set to buy a few more pairs so I wouldn't have to go through this kind of search again anytime soon. I really hope Altra will correct in future models. I also hope other companies will start making less tapered toes & more actual foot-shaped! My search continues but I'm not sure what else to try.

Horrible shoe. Weird ridge in bottom of toe box that really hurts when running or walking. Contacted company and they stated there is a design flaw but that they will do nothing but offer me a discount on a new pair. Complete waste of money.

Too small & I'm already up a size. My toes are right against the sneaker. Boxy toe bed does not look good on larger sizes. Might look cute on a size 6 but on size 12 I can wear the shoe box and it would have the same look. It's being returned.
