Fit, size, style -- all fine. My girls actually loved these shoes. But the SMELL!!! Oh my goodness. I don't know what artificial fragrance these were sprayed with, but it was overwhelming! Just our trying-on session gave me a headache. My kids were disappointed to return them... but I really didn't have any other choice.

Thought these shoes were adorable and hoped they'd be comfortable for my little adventurer. However, with her high arch these cut into the tops of her feet. Had to send them back, unfortunately?. :-(

So cute! My daughter is 4 and still has wide baby/toddler feet. These fit and are so comfy for her. I only decided against them bc I think the white canvas would get dirty quicker then the leather ones.

I love them so much but only one thing, it comes with super strong weird smell/scent, like artificial fruity flowery smell. It gives me a bad headache…

I bought the yellow Mary Jane style on a whim because my daughter needed shoes to wear to Disneyland to match her Belle dress. They are more expensive than I usually spend on kids shoes, but they are so well made, I will definitely buy them again when my daughter grows out of these. The color is more versatile than I though because she wears them so much. They are extremely comfortable and hit the perfect balance between sporty and dressy.

So cute! Fit is true to size. So easy to get on and off but also are good looking with dressier outfits.

My daughter has been wearing La Cientas since she could walk. She's now 4. Besides Vans (or Vans-like shoes), La Cientas are the only other shoes she consistently likes.

These are so easy to get on my active 13 month old and they look oh so cute! After two light wears they are turning a little black. Concerned about how long they will last with this light color. Hoping they can be restored through the wash.

We love the classic look of these shoes! My daughter has worn them since was one. They are always TTS and hold up great.

These are hands down the best school shoes you can buy, if you have a toddler and they’re required to wear white shoes. They can put them on by themselves and they have rubber soles so you’re still getting the sneaker functionality from a Mary-Jane.

My kid loves these shoes, and I love knowing that they were made in a country with good protections for workers (Spain). They are super cute & comfy, and apparently machine-washable! Pleased with purchase.

This is a basic canvas shoe that works very well for my daughter. I had not noticed the comment about the smell in the description. The fruity scent is strong. My daughter is so happy I got her "M&Ms" shoe. In fact I suspect that the insert is perfumed to prevent bad odor then those shoes are worn bare foot. Just to be sure, I did add an oder-eating insert to the shoe: it did fit without any issues.

Cute and soft as always with this brand and style. My granddaughter loves to wear her Cientas. As her feet are very narrow and the shoes are usually slightly on the wide side, they look a little big on her although the length is fine. I’ve bought this model first almost thirty years ago in Spain for her mother. They have always held up well through everyday wear and many washes.

I love the look of these shoes and think they are comfortable for my child but their sizing and fit are awful. Just when I think I have the sizing right, the shoe is either too big or too small

These little shoes are darling. My 20mo daughter has very round wide feet and the shoes fit her when I take the insoles out! The shoes seem sturdy. I took a star off because the smell is almost headache inducing! It’s a very very strong artificial sweet smell that serves literally no purpose and is irritating to me. It doesn’t seem to bother my daughter though.

The shoes are very cute, but my granddaughter didn't like them so returned. I'd say they ran a little big and didn't fit her well, which may have influenced her.

Can be dressed up or down. Color was closer to aqua vs mint.
