I love this boot, however when you pay this much for a boot you expect it to last. I purchased a pair of these boots and after 9 months they started to come apart where the boot attaches to the sole. I returned them to zappos and they sent me another pair. After the same amount of time the second pair started doing the same thing. Very disappointed with the quality, because I absolutely love these boots and they are very comfortable :-( I just bought a pair of Uggs to replace them. Hopefully they will be comfortable and last longer than a year.

These are almost perfect. I have them in blue and have now bought the tan ones. I find I am more comfortable with a gel half insert which cushions the edge of the heel. I most likely need this because I am heavy and so have a lot of weight on my foot. I usually don't wear heels; these boots enable me to wear a heel without discomfort. The leather is gorgeous and supple. I have probably worn the blue ones 20 times by now and they look pretty much like new. (I did spray them with a leather preserver, which I am hesitating about for the tan ones as I fear it will darken them.) I am probably a 10 1/2 (41) but the 11 fits me with room for smartwool or alpaca socks. These are the most expensive boots I have ever bought. My daughters are envious. I told the one who has big feet like me that they will still be in good shape when she inherits them!

My go-to boots are a Madison black pair. I have worn them almost non-stop for a couple of years now. Wanted to own a brown pair too, so ordered the Waterproof Tan Madison's. Find the tan pair feels less supple....maybe that is the difference between waterproof version leather and non? Also, was looking for more of an orangey-brown rather than deep red-brown to go with black pants etc. Thanks, love my black ones!!!

I now have these boots in 4 colors. This is my second pair in black! My other black ones I wore out over 3 years. A cobbler wanted more to fix the heel than the boots were worth. Perfect heel height, great traction in the rain ( thick rubber soles) and attractive with both skirts and pants. Fit is right on track… but a bit narrow for my side Size 6 feet. No problem though, after three or four wearings, the foot is perfect! I would highly recommend!

I LOVE the look of this boot. It's classy and feminine with the right amount of sass. I cannot keep them, though, because my feet have problems like Morton's toe, and the angle of the foot caused me pain. I also have bunions, but there was enough room for them in this shoe, without looking wide. I am surprised the foot bed doesn't have more cushion, and tried putting my custom orthodics in to help, but they did not fit. It's not you, it's me, Trask. Can you make one with a half inch lower heel?

Love these boots!

I ordered the Indigo color in these boots. They are great quality and really nice looking. Sadly, they are going back because the color pictured is darker than the actual boot. The blue is sort of a weird shade and is not actually the navy/denim it looks on Zappos photo. The boot also runs small. I ordered a 9 1/2 because they didn't have the 9 I normally wear in stock. The half size larger fit me perfectly. They are also comfortable.

These boots are phenomenal!! Quality, comfort and style all in one. I had a small problem with them upon receipt but Zappos amazing customer service took care of it immediately and exceeded my expectations. Love Zappos and love the boots!

These boots are so soft and comfortable. I fell in love as soon as I slipped them on. And the heel is the perfect height to give me some lift but still be able to walk miles around the city in. I've been looking for two years for a boot to replace an old favorite and finally found them. Good with jeans and dresses. Perfect classic, everyday boot!

The leather is buttery soft and fit my feet like a glove. Ultimately I decided to return them due to being a bit too narrow across the ball of my foot. The soft leather allowed them to fit, but I worried about the how this would affect the shoe over time.

If you don't want to spend $298 on the most awesome boots you'll ever own, then do not order these. Because you will keep them. Comfy, well-made & on trend. I'm obsessed. I ordered the blue & wear with everything.... I'm a size 7.5 average width & the 7.5 in these fit perfectly.

I LOVE these boots! I wear them all the time. I'm even kind of bummed that the weather is getting warmer b/c I can't wear them as much. They're so comfortable and the Saddle Tan color goes with everything. I was worried that the height might make them less practical, but I don't even feel like I'm wearing higher heels b/c the boot is so well-made. Style-wise, a slightly less rounded and more tapered toe would look a little dressier, but I still wear them even when I go out.

This is a great boot. Am going to order black as I need it the most. One of the few boots ever to really fit and it shaped for a real foot; space for arch, toes, heel yet form fitting.

Wow! You have to try on expensive boots every now and then to remind yourself what quality feels like. These are glove-soft leather and leather-lined. Not a stitch is out of place. The leather is distressed/gently colored in all of the right places. The footbed is nicely padded but not super cushy. I can see why the other reviewer said she would be passing them down to her daughter--they are heirlooms. But they are very pricey and I don't need another pair of tan boots. I really came to Zappos to find lighter palomino-colored ones. The search continues...

Love at first try! I'm on the larger size of 9 1/2 with narrow feet. I ordered the size 10 and it's absolutely perfect. Very comfortable fit and heel is perfect size without being uncomfortable. The inside of the shoe has amazing quality details. Leather material and great sole support. A quality boot all around.

These are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn and I've had Cole Haan, Born, Kork Ease No break in time needed. Buttery soft leather.

Absolutely love these boots! Due to problems with one foot, I have a very difficult time finding fashionable yet comfortable boots/shoes. I'm so surprised as to how comfortable and cute these boots are. They'll look great with so many outfits! I ordered my regular size, there is plenty of room for socks. Not sure of durability yet and note that these are made in China (with leather from the USA). Pricey but they seem to be made very well and at this point, I'm very happy with the purchase.

Worth the investment. This is the most expensive shoe I have ever purchased and see the difference in quality. I have high arches and will probably get an insert, but these have been comfortable from day one. Lots of compliments. I am a small 9 and can wear the 9 with very thick socks.

This boot is amazing! I had never heard of the brand Trask before. I can tell you now that this boot is 100% quality. Great comfort and style and the leather quality is spot on. Worth the money for sure.

Order a size up. I’m usually an 8-1/2, ordered that size and couldn’t even zip them up. I returned the 8-1/2 and received a 9 since they were out of the 9-1/2. The 9 is still a bit small, I can feel it mostly on the top of my foot. I’m hoping I break them in and the leather expands a little. They are also a bit red brown, I was expecting a warm medium brown. On a positive note I love how sturdy they feel and how they fit nicely around my ankle.

Please note that the website makes the blue look turquoise and bright--the pair I got is actually a muddier blue. But they're still unique and still comfy as all get-out. The traction sole has been great on rainy days and on bumpy sidewalks. My foot is somewhat wide, and going half a size up has been just fine, wearing thin socks. Other than the color, the only other drawback is that the heel doesn't appear to be solid, but hollow--which is a bit ridiculous, given the price. I hope mine make it to heirloom status like other commenters hope, but I'm not holding my breath.
